The Forever Game has ended, whoda thunk it. As promised, I have paid out the second last deposit and the first unpaid deposit the grand sum of 0.20123, so you know it's from me. Enjoy  Smiley.

Reverse Ponz2

Got another game going, only bet is 0.1. I'll add another or two later on to increase the pool.

Someone won 0.5 last time with the short notice one, so I hope this being around for more than a day will let people know it's happening and perhaps get more people going in on it as the time gets down to the wire.

Is there a system of refunding bitcoin of submitters who submit too much/little, or too late? (More importantly too late)

What is the point of a game like "Every_5_1BTC" when the ROI isn't 20%?   I don't get it.

If the top 2 are within a 5% of each other

What does that mean?  Sorry, no native English speaker here!   Cry

Say user1 has 200 clicks, user 2 has 193

(200 * .95) < 193, so it will be extended. until (clicks[user1] * .95) > clicks[user2]

with user1 being the link with the most clicks and user2 being the one with the second most.

I see, thank you!

Official Rules:

Competition will end at exactly midnight server time on Oct 27.

Just to cover my ass in case this is complete failure, the winner of the 1 BTC must have >5 unique clicks on their link.

You are welcome to use any website you may own, dailybitcoins, etc with your link.

If the top 2 are within a 5% of each other, the competition will be extended until there is a clear winner.

Wasn't referring to you, just in general.

I know, I was just joking while stating the obvious (everybody will click on his own to 1st, get one click, and 2nd, make sure it works).

Everyone can click their own once..no way to tell.

Damn!  I revealed my own click then!   Grin

Also, just to clarify, this is for UNIQUE referrers. You can't just click your own link 1000 times Grin

That should be obvious, hehe.  I clicked on my own link to make sure it worked!   Smiley

ps - you have a trailing > in your url

Thank you, I left it there when editing your model.

edit: .1BTC sent to address in your sig.

Thank you.  You didn't wait for a week to make sure I'll keep it.    Grin

Making this into a competition - the person who sends the most referrers to bitponzi gets 1 BTC! In addition to the .1 BTC to put it there.

Done, I'm in.

Would you be interested to place a banner on the multichain blockexplorer (http://blockexplorer.sytes.net/)?

Not right this moment, but your more than welcome to use it in the competition.

use this code in your sig:

Code:

[URL=http://bitponzi.net?ref=SIG_][img]http://goo.gl/0wVHT[/img][/URL]

Mine would be:

[URL=http://bitponzi.net?ref=SIG_mb300sd][img]http://goo.gl/0wVHT[/img][/URL]

or

[URL=http://bitponzi.net?ref=SIG_1Q7zMiGjNe8sSMeEJKHfjt2tNdteRwhx2a][img]http://goo.gl/0wVHT[/img][/URL]

Edit: Just to clarify, this is for UNIQUE REFS. Otherwise we'd just have everyone click their own links...

With the fixed rounds theres really no incentive to get in until the end, so a little longer might be a good idea so everyone knows its there. Timing the end for when the most people are online is a good idea too.

Time to get some more advertising out there.

.1 BTC to anyone who puts BitPonzi in their sig. Minimum 1 week.

Do it for yourself! The more people that visit the site, the more likely your rounds get played.

I setup a fixed game with a bounty and a high jackpot, sort of like a last bid lottery

Reverse Ponz

Made it so there was no incentive for me to join in later with a 2% extra fee, the 1% ROI ensured that enough people joined in later on the older shares would be payed for. Made a bounty address and put 0.1BTC into it to get it started. 4% fee, 1% ROI 45% Jackpot it made 50% of each entrant go towards the pot for the previous player to ensure quick return.

Net loss of 0.1448BTC (submitted total of .4*.2 on start, .1 jackpot bounty, and .1 a little later*, got back 0.202 and 0.055). Worked kind of like a lottery/race towards the end and someone made out with the 0.5BTC jackpot.

Planning on doing one tomorrow with the same rules, probably just limiting the bids to only 0.1 if I can. Was thinking what I could do if I could get negative ROI, but then that just turns into a whole other game. Was interesting to see what transpired during the day.

Any opinions on how it went? Should I do it for longer just to make sure people know it's there? Larger amounts?

Had to go in with telnet and kill bitcoind and delete debug.log which was taking up the entire hard drive, so unfortunately there are no logs. I'm trying to find a workaround for not having many connections on bitcoind causing slower deposits, without opening the port, but I can't find any way to make it create more than 8 outgoing connections.

Edit:
For now I've added an addnode to bitcoin.conf that points to bitcoind running on my other server with open ports. It should speed things up, and if they somehow discover the ip of that server and attack it, it shouldn't take down the site.

mb300sd, please do a full investigation... I don't want my name to be tarnished because the attack COULD be mine.  Please ensure that it is not Smiley

We are again under some kind of attack. Someone seems to have gotten the real IP of the server thats supposed to be hidden by cloud flare. I'm trying to log into the remote access but its going at a crawl.

I agree with ama, advertising in this thread is a sleazy tactic

I also find it interesting that bitponzi got DDoSed right around the time your site went public...

Yeah, the DDoS thing was VERY unfortunately timed.  You can ask mb300sd to verify that my IP was not involved in that in any way.
