Is there any chance of earning coins in gambling aside from participaing in gambling itself?

Sure there is a chance for you to earn without gambling, you can earn through the affiliate program. Spread your referral link and get many active players (whales will be better) so you will earn decent money without risking your own money.

Yes, I agree that is the only way to get some coin without even participating on gambling. But do you even think that you can get big whale as your referalls? I do not think so, since they can go to the site by themselves, even if you give the link to them, they have rights not to use it. So I think this is not a way to get some coin easily right here. I can suggest investing so you wont be taking part on gambling

Again, if you store your funds in a web wallet you are not in control of them. A web wallet is subject to the same vulnerabilities as any other website (in fact, it is a website).

You are right: while you still have access to the funds, you're not just storing the funds but also investing them so the risks of a web wallet add up to those of an investment.

On the other hand, a web wallet most of the time don't have a sustainable business model while on this case they have an incentive to keep their business running.

but this is a very good alternative to just storing your coins in your wallet
Just always remember that your cryptocoins are yours only when you control the private keys of your wallet. If you decide to invest on a site, there is always a chance for the site to default, to have a negative return, to be hacked, or simply to run with your money.
Well, if you're going to invest on a site you must trust it.
Of course. That's what I do btw. Just saying it's not an "alternative to store your coins in your wallet": the risk is way higher.

I hope I'm misunderstanding this post. Are people really touting gambling as an "investment" now? Or was the investment referring to an ICO which would allow real investment in the form of purchasing shares, tokens, whatever you want to call them, of the business operating the website? That could charitably be called investment, though definitely a fringe investment that's even riskier than investing in crypto itself, regardless of how well this particular site may or may not have done so far. If the "investment" is in the fact that the site takes less of a cut from the gambling winnings, and otherwise it's just a regular gambling site, that's extremely misleading. Maybe I'm just confused, I hope so.

yes,you are totally misunderstanding it-investment in bitvest,or any casino that has an investment option
has nothing to do with you gambling,it is you putting your money(investing) into a casino's bankroll
i.e. you share casino's profit
whenever casino makes profit, you get a share of it,calculated based on the amount invested, margin, investment formula etc.
this is a safe and effective way to increase your stash WITHOUT big risks involved,as 1% house edge gives casinos advantage in the long run
(there could be spells when your investment returns negative, due to variances, but it is very rare and requires several whales get extremely lucky)
the longer you keep your money invested, the higher your profit will be
this is not a "get rich quick" scheme,I suggest locking your investments for at least one month
but this is a very good alternative to just storing your coins in your wallet, several bitcoins invested could get you up to 100% ROI in a year

if you want to learn more, register at bitvest and see the investment tab for additional info,or ask any of the moderators, they will be more than happy to help you

Investment is regarded, for Bitvest, as as funding the casino bankroll in exchange of a % of the casino earnings.

Based on my limited perspective of investor and the profits curve from ETH only it looks like ETH betting is on exponential growth, though still significantly far (~10x) from BTC. Is there any metric available? Do you plan to add ETH charts to the BTC ones?

I think the addition of native support for some altcoins is a great addition to bitvest!

Really appreciate all the work - this place to play just keeps getting better and better!

yes it does, this update went as smoothly as it could
think there was the only glitch with the dicebot API but it was fixed very promptly
I see many people betting litecoins and pop up at the HR
maybe make the HR minimum bet for ltc something like half a litecoin?
so it doesn't get clogged with the 0.02 ltc bets? one litecoin is around 60$ at the moment
so a 0.5 ltc bet is roughly what a bitcoin HR bet would be

Thanks for the lightning-fast API update.

Changing your selected coin for betting changes what is displayed there.

Fair enough.
