My X1 arrived today (technically yesterday, as it's now past midnight)...

Paydate was December 3rd (ordered through minersource)

Income-wise / on the bitcoin side of things [ and only because of the manufacturing / shipping delays ] I was somewhat disappointed that it performs "merely as promised..." so I really can't do much to improve that, though once I got everything configured right I spent some time hacking around and loading flappy bird onto it.

Plays great!

When I said "Plays great" I meant the framerate was smooth, totally not that I'm any good at flappy bird:

time is btc and everybody wants some, maybe someone will
sell me a 1 month summary for 0.5 btc ??

X1s are trickling out to customers who ordered from BA, at about the rate of 1 per day. X3s don't appear to be shipping at all yet.

I'll bet they renege on that promise, too - just like they're refusing refunds that they promised in March and April. They're out of money, because they spent it all to buy parts.

They'll probably give you 10% off their new scrypt miner, though, whose development they financed with our pre-order money.

I don't believe they're out of money.

They had issues with components, fine.  But that does not assure huge cost over-runs, unless they were stupid enough to buy all the backplanes, ASICS etc. without testing them, then that's their problem.

They said repeatedly that they funded most of this from sources other than pre-orders anyhow.

Based on the history of Alex Sovu, I believe they are simply making every attempt to keep the money, not that they do not have it.

Money could also have been paid out to investors already and that's why they are out of money.  That's their problem if that's the case, which they are trying to make ours.

Who knows where the money went, but I'm not buying their story that it all went to build parts.

Could they refund everyone that wants a refund at this point?  Probably not, because that would be everyone, but there is money there, I have no doubt.  They know if they start issuing refunds there will be a run on the bank so they're trying to screw everyone instead.

I would assume, that despite their comments about not being an investment firm, that they are speculating on the value of bitcoin and are holding all bitcoin payments hoping for a rise in value. The spiteful side of me wants the value to flatten further or even reduce. If they're doing this, I wonder if they have properly declared the btc payments received so far as corporate income, for tax purposes. Maybe a tax investigation is just what is needed.

It's certainly possible, but personally, I'm assuming this money is gone for good

Open Chrome (or download the Firefox app) and web browse to http://127.0.0.1/lcd
Login: user
Password: blackarrow

Same interface can be accessed remotely by web browsing to http://ipaddressofx1/lcd instead of https://ipaddressofx1 (note the HTTP/HTTPS difference, the LCD interface won't connect if you use the HTTPS prefix)

I got curious as to how close you can pack these together so I got out my Fluke and took some measurements. The ambient air temp of the intake on the first miner was 80o. The measurements below are from between each of the miners in F.

2.5" Gap
1) 89.7o
2) 99.1o
3) 105.2o

1.75" Gap
1) 90o
2) 102o
3) 109.5o

1.25" Gap, I only measured between the 3rd and 4th miners @ 111o. For now this is how I'll run them.

Everyone keeps saying that the money they paid via Bitcoin is still sitting in the wallet, untouched.  So if this is true, it would mean they are not broke, unless they somehow forgot their password to the wallet.  (Anything is possible.)

Just got tracking info from MS for an X-1 order paid on Dec/03/13
Have you received X-1? Is there LCD/WiFi and power cord?
I (from Russia) also got tracking info from MS for 2pcs X-1 order paid on Dec/03/13.
To what trouble I should prepare myself?
Thx.

Well, well, well. A big box from Miner Hosting LLC arrived at my doorstep today. I didn't know I was receiving a package.... To refuse delivery or just accept that I lost a bunch of money on this, that is the question.

And I paid Dec 25 2013 for those of you who are curious as to shipping order from Minersource. I should also mention I threw a big stink and bugged them about my refund status nearly every day for the last couple weeks.

Big box? Did you order an X3?
