The conversation that was posted about 8 pages back between Dan at MS was my email chain.

I have since refused the shipment and it was sent back to them.

If anyone has requested a refund from Minersource and has not received it, please send me a message.

If your order ships, do not accept it, if you accept it you will make it quite a bit harder to get your refund.

Interesting return path. It shipped out from Commerce City, Co. The tracking return the package to Rolla, MO. Which JUST happens to be where Bob and Dan seem to live.

Huh, so I just realized something everyone has been overlooking, density. If you run the numbers in an average 42u rack and assuming you don't leave any gaps, you can fit 21 SP30's. That's roughly 84TH per rack. If you look at the X3, that case appears to be a 3u which means 6u per X3. So with the added room needed for these you're only going to get about 14TH per rack. Same with the S3, you can fit 3 wide and a PSU per every 3u giving you 18.5TH per rack.

It seems to me they should be undervolting these things and packing as many into a case as they can without overheating them. The heatsink is taking up too much room.

Today I received 2 x X1, and they worked without any problems. Hashing away at 110Ghs (1100 clock), updated firmware without any issues.
Maybe I'm just lucky this time Smiley

EDIT: This was a November order. Still no LCD, but construction seems fine.

Lucky you! still waiting on my september order and october order from Black arrow..

Thanks for the update Bob.

I just see visions of piles of cases, backplanes and hashboards, and a bunch of guys standing around staring at them and nobody putting them together.

One week left in this month... looks like the delay train has plenty of momentum left in it.

September delivery anybody?

You're a glass half-full kind of guy huh?  I'm pretty sure we'll be into October or even November before they are done shipping everything.  Certainly the compensation units won't be showing up until end of the year, maybe into 2015.

Seeing as they have only got about, at most, 400 units shipped since July 6th (2 1/2 weeks), I'd say 2015 is a good bet. How many do they need to produce & ship? Several thousand, I'd guess. And that's only the x1s, which is smaller and less complicated than the x3s.

Bobsag, any news from your trip?

Its 3AM, im tired, havnt slept for 26 hours, and have to go to the factory at 3am.
Good news is Ive seen all the hashboards and backplanes for all the X3s (well over a thousand of each) along with all the X1 stuff. Ill have more tomorrow... im exhausted

better everyday ♥
LOL this is laughable, the only proof we have of the X-3s for consumers is a warehouse full of X-3 cases, but none fully completed or produced.

I think we're looking at mid-August for our first X-3 in the wild.  2nd to only BFL in gross incompetence, negligence, and worthy of "The Long Con of the Year" award.

I leave for HK tomorrow, I will be getting hands on with the X3s and remaining X1s to help them get everyones orders pushed out the door, as well as writing troubleshooting guides and getting valuable hands on time.

Bob,

Could you ask about the Batch 2 chip conversion !!
I don't want the X1 showing up on my doorstep, i appriciate it if you could push them to TB for another conversion Cheesy

Thx,
Good luck.

Take a look at the difficulty :- https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

Looks like someone started a farm but made the mistake of ordering power supplies from BA ! LOL

I know the network fluctuates but could this possibly be our X3s being shut down for shipment?  We will never know!

I can see them now at the BA factory.... "Bobsag is coming to help assemble the miners. Quick, everyone tear down the datacenter before he arrives!"

I received two out of the four X-1's I ordered and the first one i plugged in sent a shower of sparks everywhere, so far the 2nd unit hashes anywhere from 9 to 90 Ghz regardless of what the Freq is set to, the errors do seem to drop a bit if it's set to 1000 or below.. Your mileage may vary  Roll Eyes
So that's the second power supply we know to have gone bang. How many more, I wonder?

Funny how the image showing the PSU manufacturer label seems to have "disappeared". Fortunately Firefox's search history comes up trumps, I originally tried finding a "Sunshine AP187" back when the picture was posted. Here's what AliBaba has to say about it.

Perhaps that's Black Arrow's "surprise"...

Make that two for two on the PSU's, i moved my working unit to the shelf i was going to keep it on, plugged it in and fireworks.. unbelievably craptastic parts BA
That's three so far, out of however many on here have received them so far which is a pretty shit failure rate. Should've called them Prospero X360.
Perhaps it's time to give AplusPower the WebOfTrust score they deserve as well.

Oh, and this is for the Googlebot: Black Arrow Prospero X1 X-1 X3 X-3 power supply dead PSU

It seems to me they went for a new type of functionality (this was the surprise) and failed. What is left over from this attempt are things like being able to group control the miners. Perhaps this could also explain the amount of time spent on the backplane.

Checked yesterday, if they delivered by last day in Feb I would have had 98 BTC from my purchases.

This is an exercise in losing money gracefully, if there is such a thing. Not sure being in the refund pile is the safest course of action here. I'm actually surprised they are pushing out miners, thought they would have gone hashfast by now.

I've got black tape on the front of my 2nd unit. Looks like they are using that to cover holes invite case they aren't using any more. I have no idea how the LCD  will get installed with all the different versions if case running around. My 2nd unit also included rubber buttons that the first one didn't.

- It has some black  sticky tape on the back of it and glue all over some of the buttons and the bit metal plate where I presume the LCD (which is missing) should go looks like it came out of a dump (Pictures Coming when I get home)

I had the black tape and hot glue on several of my units as well. 2 out of 3 are defective....Minersource did some amazing testing on these.

No kidding i received two out of the four X-1's I ordered and the first one i plugged in sent a shower of sparks everywhere, so far the 2nd unit hashes anywhere from 9 to 90 Ghz regardless of what the Freq is set to, the errors do seem to drop a bit if it's set to 1000 or below.. Just a data point for everyone out there.

Out of the box the X1 will load balance between multiple pools. So if you see less GH/S than expected check at each pool you have configured.

I was only seeing half my GH/S and was confused for a sec there.
