I leave for HK tomorrow, I will be getting hands on with the X3s and remaining X1s to help them get everyones orders pushed out the door, as well as writing troubleshooting guides and getting valuable hands on time.

Sounds awesome.
Check on the compensation plan too if you can.

A little excitement today.

Go my 2nd X-1 in the mail.

Pulled it out of the box and set it up on my desk plugged the cable into the back of the unit and then into the powerstrip. There was a thunderous electrical crackle and spark and the room went dark.

Looks like the power supply died and popped the circuit breaker along with it.

This is the first piece of electrical equipment I have had die straight out of the box that I can remember. It sure does smell bad!

MS shipped me out another PSU and the X-1 is now up and hashing like a champ. I'm really glad I ordered from them rather than directly from BA.

and this is maybe the big surprise? we can play angry birds while hashing?

Is this the surprise?

They are late and underperforming but at least you can use android on your miner which everyone wanted right?

Heres my idea for the x10:

-10TH (has to be way more than people are comfortable buying)
- 10 custom made psus (more expensive = better)
- 4 10,000 rpm fans (faster + louder = better)
- Dual 10" super amoled touch screens
- Windows 7 nokia OS (less useful = better)
- 5 speaker surround sound system (with bass)
- electric motor + 5 wheels
- built in minifridge and toaster

Seriously what a joke.

That would be more to do with the share already being submitted rather than an error with the miner, right?

I had it running overnight.. at 1100 Hz (1200Hz basically doesn't work ( I wonder why it was set to 1200 by default?)

I have 3 connections to the same place (thus the reason why there are 3 connections)

The first batch of x3 cases were delivered in early May, as per the May 9th update. That was 2 1/2 months ago. Are they trying to show us that they just got them?

Seriously, what kind of joke of a company is this that with millions of dollars of customer funds on the line...

What the hell is going on here?

Ha, you think this is bad? This is rainbows and puppy dogs compared the meltdown thats happening with scrypt ASIC maker Alpha Tech.

I mean, I saw a pic of a X3! Its practically like seeing a unicorn. And then this:

Are these the pictures? Tons of empty cases? We are supposed to be impressed with this? They should take a few of these cases and tie them around their necks and take a swim...

- It has some black  sticky tape on the back of it and glue all over some of the buttons and the bit metal plate where I presume the LCD (which is missing) should go looks like it came out of a dump (Pictures Coming when I get home)

I had the black tape and hot glue on several of my units as well. 2 out of 3 are defective....Minersource did some amazing testing on these.

No kidding i received two out of the four X-1's I ordered and the first one i plugged in sent a shower of sparks everywhere, so far the 2nd unit hashes anywhere from 9 to 90 Ghz regardless of what the Freq is set to, the errors do seem to drop a bit if it's set to 1000 or below.. Your mileage may vary  Roll Eyes

From the horse's mouth:

Dear Customers,

We are sorry for the lack of communication lately. We've been mostly in the factories setting up the line and managing that the parts are manufactured and delivered in the right place in time.
We'll write a detail update later if the time permits.

We've added new pictures

Regards!

- The Value of the Unit was quoted in the packing slip as $100 which is a lie to I presume get around people paying high import duty etc. If the value/cost of the unit is only $100 can I have a refund? Can you please ship your units correctly. As it says on the Slip they are Legal Documents you are lying on. It is not just me as other people have said the $100 is the cost/value of the Items.

The value written is correct. For next $100 of what you paid you will/should get another one X-1 as a recompensation (when they make the final decision). The rest of money went for shipping.

Can the voltage to the ASIC be changed? Probably not enough volts for 1200MHz.

They can, I am waiting for instructions for how, or Ill tear the software apart and find out myself. I know from a hardware standpoint it all can, and that they intended to add it to software, may just not be added yet.

I hadn't made any changes but I had noticed that the Freq was set to 1100, I've turned it to 1000 and it is steadier.

Thanks

Yeah. mine were set to 1200 when i recieved them. Guess they tested them..

I received my 2 x-1s today.

I've opened one up and got it running but it doesn't seem to have a steady speed. It's all over the shop from 15Gh/s up to 115Gh/s although it seems to stay above 80Gh/s most of the time.

The graphs that you can access from the web browser have a rosy view of the speeds of the X-1 though. According to the graphs, it's never been below 80Gh/s since I turned it on even though I know that's not true.

In terms of blocks, I have ~45 accepts, 0 rejects, but >210 Disc. whatever that means.

Can any of the people who know what that means explain whether that is normal or not?

Thanks

You are most likely running 1200Mhz - thats unstable. Change it to 1000Mhz and you'll see steady speeds.
