This is a classic ‘pump and dump’ scenario (price chart above), which is often seen on Cryptocurrency markets. Speculators pump the price up, causing more people to buy in a feedback cycle, but when it starts going down from people taking profits it rapidly accelerates due to panic, the so called ‘dump’.
The price of Black Coin experienced another rally after this to 50,000 satoshis, and has since leveled off to 25,000 to 35,000 satoshis, which is the trading range currently.
