I did this again and this time I got the bonus, but it went back to the address I sent from! That needs a warning for sure.

To be clear, only the bonus went back, the principle is landing in the destination address now.
Obviously it goes to sender because the sender is providing the bitcoins. It's only function isn't sending btc to yourself but also to others anonymously.

I think what he meant was that you can tell if there is a bonus by seeing if the preview shows you you'll receive more than you'll send, that's how it was for me anyway.

Probably the best way to see if the bonus is active is http://blockchain.info/wallet/send-anonymously the javascript interface might lag behind slightly. The bonus is active again now, approximately 15 BTC to payout.

I'm looking at that page, but don't see anything about whether a bonus is available.

Does that mean it isn't?  Or should I log in to my wallet first?

There's an image on that page that says the bonus is 0.5%, and it also tells me that "Currently there is no way to tell if coins are needed before being sent".

I'm so confused...

Bonus Temporarily Increased to 1%

Works great, just sent BTC50 and got BTC0.5 back.

I sent some coins through the mixer and it worked fine but the bonus I received wasn't sent to the same address but to the first address in my Receive money list which is a shame since I didn't want a connection with any of my old addresses.

bought large amounts of btc and just for the heck of it gave the last customer an anonymous address, happened to be a 710 btc transaction, thought nothing of it...

Refunded

I logged in again an hour later and the banner that talks about the bonus being available on the 'transactions' no longer shows up.  So I'm guessing the bonus was no longer available when I made my payment, but the transactions tab hadn't been updated to stop advertising the bonus.

Another slight oddity in the Android App which hasn't happened to me before - I withdrew 5BTC from Intersango to my wallet (TX: http://blockchain.info/tx-index/12315903/2b83952cd981a415cc3fa831d13b1d4bc203793a2b029294e9acdbe00ed082fc) and while the increased balance *does* appear in the app, the received transaction itself doesn't.

The TX shows up in the web version of the wallet, and I believe I got a notification on my phone to say it had been received. I don't remember getting an e-mail about receiving the funds though, which I think I usually do.

Let me know if any more info is useful...

Thank you for the bug report. The android app is getting a bit of a re-write, including a lot of the synchronisation code,

I did get the bonus 11 confirmations later on the 3BTC, but when I did 120BTC I haven't gotten the extra .5% after 60 confirmations.

I read somewhere that you might not, if it turns out that the clean coins weren't actually needed.

Is there some minimum number of confirmations my funds must have before being considered for the bonus offer?  I just made a payment and wasn't prompted "do you wish to send anonymously for 0.5% bonus?"

do you charge 1.5% on anonymous receive addresses as well?

Yes, I should clarify that.

Bonus currently active. However the increase of the output depth has made it much pickier about what addresses qualify, it is likely that if you send through any funds that have already passed through the mixer in 48 hours they will not qualify (a ~0.0002 BTC miners fee will be charged).

 well, shit.
tried it out for fun with 700 btc
down 10.5btc now.
any chance to be refunded since the fee wasn't advertised?

Why would you use such a large amount?!?

I tried this out with 3BTC expecting 3.015 back. So far I've gotten 2 tx back that total 2.9996. Was I charged the miners fee twice or am I just waiting for another tx of .0154?

It can sometimes be a bit delayed, let me know if you still haven't received it in in an hour.

The miners fee depends on how many times the mixer decides to split the transaction. The base fee is 0.0002 BTC because the minimum split is two, if your tx gets split into 4 the miners fee will be 0.0004 etc. It depends not the size and random variables.

Will it ever happen that it switches from bonus mode to charging mode after an address to pay is generated? Or does the right to a bonus stick with any address generated during bonus time?

No the bonus is recorded in the forwarding entry at the time of creation. However if the backlog of paying transactions has cleared by the time your tx gets used then the bonus may not be paid (only the miners fee will be charged).

any chance to be refunded since the fee wasn't advertised?

If you genuinely didn't know about the fee then yes, please PM me an address.
