I do more or less the same that titinet does but I mine on mining-dutch,
the fact is that if you buy a hardware miner nowadays it comes out of factory with at least 500 MH/s of hashing power, for instance old gridseed are available only at garage sales, so it's not always because of miners,
mining with large amount of hashing power will certainly increase the net difficulty but maybe the coin will have a better price on exchange, (not sure btw)
a mainnet without hashing power will result in problems and delay sincyng the wallet or to confirm transactions,
I agree we don't need 30 GH/s to mine bob, with all due respect with 30 GH/s I would mine ltc

Besides your pool, no one else is mining this coin, and why then put a lot of power?? I can also put a big power of 10Gh/s and even 30, but it makes no sense. And you're putting a lot of power into the void.

I explain :
Currently the coin is almost abandoned !
Yes, I understand your dismay/frustration if your miner is with a low power of hash on an other pool !
It is the eternal problem : rapport of power and difficulty.
I can testing with my old gridseed's... but if other pool is stronger than me, so I have nothing.
I use 10-15 minutes my power and then 20-30 mins pause ( or I mine other coin if the weather is cold )  and so on.
My number of corners is 50 to 100 with each cycle.
Consumption is reduced. Difficulty is a wave !
I have a timer program for that with progammable plug.
Advantage also with large time of pause, the temperature is stabilized in my home.
If you are connected of my pool, you can profite of my minage also in proportion of your hash.
I had some probleme with a hight % CPU util with the explorer of the blocks. I think it's settled.

Screen's :
The pool NOMP, reindex of Kumacoin(=15days), the Explorer Iquidus dobbscoin(reindex=3days).
My server is an Intel I7-4790K !

why would you specifically put the large power mining the coin? You only overstate the complexity, it is possible to produce smaller capacity, thereby wasting fewer resources for production. This coin is almost no one produces.

Now I know what happened to the network.  I've been mining DobbsCoin over on the Mining-Dutch pool, and suddenly my Bobs went from 10 a day to 400.
Just for fun I pointed one of my Gridseeds (Dobbs help me) at your pool... looks like it's working.

I've been wanting to mine DobbsCoin for months now, and this forum has been invaluable in getting started.  Thank you!
