Believe in Yourself, Do Magic, Be the Magic!
i lost a little bit more than that ammount, days ago, btw, do you know how i can program cat to update the new reference price based in a wild market fluctuation? lets say that is buys and sells within a 12% range, what if that 12% is not anymore in that unit price range but over or under, how can i program it to update itself for it?
Thanks

Congrats for that buddy, best advice you could give, one has to know what hes doing, guiding is great, very nice of you, also thanks for this honest answer,
I lost with CAT big time, because i risk and i didn't knew how to program it well;

Sampey, when is the next upgrade?
Can you introduce in the next upgrade a button for SALE that will adapt the total money to the price units so it calculates the coins able to buy with max money?
Also to include the fees in the Ping Pong Trade, because when it tries to buy back after a sale, it says that not enough funds, i corrected that to use only 99.75% of the total money....

We all have our bad moments, my friend, when we make a wrong decision or we get emotional.
There is no trader that always wins and we have to be prepared to write-off losses too when needed....
I recently lost about 1.4 BTC in Bittrex because I got emotional and greedy, making the wrong choices. I'm not proud of this but its a good lesson we all must learn.

CAT is like a tool in your hands, its up to you how its going to be used and nobody can give you a manual how to get rich.

Believe in Yourself, Do Magic, Be the Magic!
Thank you,

I am trading with just LTC at the moment, any other pair you recommend?

Oh no, I can't recommend any....
Thats your job to do!

Every trader, smaller or bigger, deploys his own strategy. How much he is going to be exposed, what he is prepared to lose, what he wants to achieve are clearly personal matters!
Study your pairs!

Sorry, that was my mistake. I meant that is the order size 1.5 coins or .5 coins per buy/sell not min %
But I didn't realize that Bittrex took that much fee..that would explain why the balance never goes up

Each exchange has its own minimum order setting. What I've learned working with CAT is that profits from very small orders dont really worth your time - unless they are thousands of them.

And yes, Bittrex is an excellent exchange but the fees they charge are too high :-(

Edit: small orders get fulfilled faster but it is pointless if you just get a few satoshi each time. The key is simple: give CAT coins and let it do its job. Even if it seems stuck at a higher or lower price, don't chicken and call it off. Instead, let the order for 2-3 hours at least to see if it gets fulfilled, stop ping creation and seek another market as a backup.
Always study the market pair you are thinking to trade, never start CAT blindly. If you are unsure, do a couple of trades by hand first to see how the market moves.

Wow, I thought trading bots are scam, but this one seems to be working perfectly and everyone reporting profits here! Personally I am not in favour of using trade bots, but I was curious to know that if someone got their account blocked for using this bot on any exchange?

You never get blocked unless you go asking for it.

And no, trading bots are not a scam, they really work if you are willing to put time and effort to learn working efficiently with them. They are not magic wands, if you make the wrong decisions forget profits, you will probably lose money.

Another quick question.

Currently im only trading LTC, seeing how it goes. I have like 2.5 coins in there. leaving profit at .6, is it better to create an order at a higher number like 1.5 (buy/sell) or a smaller order like .5 (buy/sell)
I have noticed at 1.5 there is much less transactions but bigger profit, will the smaller transaction amount lead to more trades and more profit or will it likely be the same?

There is a risk in setting the minimum profit percentage too high: market price might move away from this price while your bot is waiting for its orders to be fulfilled. With the default setting you get very small profit with each ping pong completed but it is safer. Of course the 0.6% is almost nothing after you subtract the 0.5% fees (for Bittrex i.e.).

I think 1.5% is too high for this market (LTC/BTC on Bittrex). Try setting it to 0.8% first to see how it goes and go up gradually.

exhcanges wants bot on their sites because more bot-> more trades->more fees.
BUT of course you can get banned if you overflow the limit request.
Limits are very different, they depends by exchange server capacity, you can go from 1 Call/sec to 10 call/sec.
if your request are considered "spam" you can get a temporary ban. But it's very rare using CAT.

What makes CAT superior to Gunbot?

Nothing.
CAT is not superior to Gunbot.
Bots are totally different, they have different algorithms and fit different needs.

Hi.
I am a fairly new user to CAT and I have a question;
why does the start qty and end qty not increase with 1% min gain?  I'm trading on bitfinex where the fees are 0,1 on both buy and sell.

Am I missing something here?

It tries to make sure enough funds will be available after paying fees.
You can see the 1% gain after each cycle. Those coins end up added to your available balances after subtracting the 0.2% fees for Bitfinex. Your net gain is about 0.8% (minimum) after a ping pong is complete.

There are settings that can prevent CAT from reducing the quantity: go to Generator & Parameters => Advanced

Thank you.
I will try to play some more with the settings.
