This never possible for me because in my country use Bitcoin fully prohibited and who use bitcoin , government police department sezied him badly. So buying vitamins with cryptocurrencies fully desirable hope for me .

Where are you from or at least which part of the world are you from? There aren't so many countries that prohibit their citizens from using Bitcoin at all. I don't get it. The countries that forbid their own people to be part of this revolution do more harm than good to themselves. No innovation will take place in those places.

I have love to hear this kind of news like this, it's seems to me that the usage of bitcoin and digital currency as a while is coming into adoption gradually, as hats the main purpose of decentralization, in my country, we are still finding it hard to use bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to purchase something, maybe this will come later in the future after a huge usage.

I have love the fact that the transaction fee you paid was zero because it's from the same wallet, in the mempool, the transaction fee will cost more and will be more than the amount of vitamins you need, I was curious about that, but it's fine you perform free transaction.

For several years, I have been maintaining my overall well-being by taking US-made vitamins with the same brand since late 2013. I usually order them both offline and online, either paying it through cash, bank transfer or debit card. Until now, I am still a proud user of it. It really helped managed my anxiety and panic attack symptoms, as well as better sleep quality, extra stamina during the day, better metabolism, etc.

But I stopped ordering online for 2 years. In order to save me some shipping fees, I have decided to order it from a good friend who is a licensed distributor of the vitamins product.

One day, I realized that my stocks are almost running out. So I called him to meet me to get my vitamins. My friend already have a Bitcoin wallet, but never really used it. So I asked him if he liked to be paid by Bitcoin this time, and he eventually said yes.

So I just scanned his QR code and paid him the amount (there was zero fee because of using the same wallet). And there you have it, my first Bitcoin peer to peer transaction with my friend for the vitamins.

My good friend is happy, and he doesn’t mind me to use Bitcoin again to transact with him. I don’t mind how long will BTC be massively adopted, at least it’s good to spread awareness and advocacy about it.
This is the best use of crypto. BTC was created to be a money but over the period of time it has become an asset to hold.
When people hold it, it barred from becoming a global currency. I feel happy whenever I hear someone bought something or paid for some service by btc. I hope soon we don't have to convert btc to fiat to buy anything but we can buy it directly from btc.

What you've done is a form of futuristic thing that will be normal. Today that kind of action seems not so popular but in due time paying with Bitcoin will be normal globally since we know BTC is widely well known coin. I guess not just Bitcoin but also some of the popular coins that will be accepted by many crypto business minded people.
Yeah, it's convenient to use a peer-to-peer transaction but only if you knew the person you are dealing with. It's somehow hard to trust someone that you don't know to do some transaction with you especially with what you read on the news what these people do to those who have huge balance of crypto on them. But in businesses they accepted payment from crypto and you can either eat and drink as long as they accept a crypto payment.

Topic starter must be very brave to buy vitamins or something that is connected with health in the internet and from a guy. Even if he a good friend. Who knows who is on the other side of the screen. A friend or someone that pretend to be him.
Ordering something on an intertet from a company is already dangerous. Ordering from a guy is a double danger. Something medical - tripple dangerous. Specially when you pay in crypto.
The OP stated that he ordered vitamins from a friend, which in my opinion cannot be used as an excuse to cheat or claim to be his friend just for personal gain.
and in my opinion, before placing an order there will definitely be communication via telephone or video call to ensure that the person is a friend.
and OP's idea is very inspiring and it happens that his friend has a bitcoin wallet which makes transactions easier and finally bitcoin can pave the way and make it easier for him what he needs.

The only problem we have right now to use our BTC as payment for everything is the seller or merchants,
There are only few that accepts it and we are lucky if there are some near us.

the reason they do not accept it is due to regulations and high fees in case they have no problems with regulations. In my case, for example, I have been using bitcoin as a means of payment since 2017, but I make payments to people in my country when I want something they have, I also buy cell phone recharges. But my dream was one day to be able to buy food, pay water and electricity bills in my country using bitcoin or some altcoin. unfortunately this is a distant dream, years go by and I don't see any progress in that direction.

I have heard and read a news here in our country that there are some grocery stores which already accepted not only bitcoin but also ethereum, doge, cardano and other altcoins in exchange of goods.

people from the USA and Europe will be able to buy a lot thing using bitcoin due to the fact that they are technology-friendly places, africa where there is a lot of corruption and retarded politicians it will be very difficult to be able to buy anything using bitcoin

It is truly a futuristic thing that in other countries have already implemented. It is not yet popular but somehow there have other countries which starting normalizing or practicing the used of bitcoin token or transferring bitcoin token point to point in exchange of goods like groceries.

Bitcoin has been widely used for transaction fees for health or food and goods from other countries. What do you mean, Your country doesn't accept it? What a loss if Bitcoin cannot be used there in terms of making transactions, but hopefully in the next few years the government will make new rules later.
I'm really looking forward if Bitcoin can be very useful for a transaction tool that can be done in all countries. But you have to use Bitcoin in a useful way.

This is a very amazing development for the crypto community.  Bitcoin, as most of us know it, is an investment asset that should be bought and hodl in hopes of making profits after a few years.
It's great to know that you used bitcoin as a currency that it is and not an investment asset. I'm thankful for your courage. You didn't  consider the fact that your coins could worth much more by just hodling them for a few more years.
If you'd ask me, I'd say you've done a great job.

Many of the people here are wondering, in fact, I was also, about how the transaction went without a fee. But then I remembered something I did a week ago. It was CoinEx exchange and I transferred some of my CET tokens to a friend who is also on the exchange. I just needed his email id and the transfer was done in seconds. There were no transactional charges or on-chain records of it. It's just one account to another. OP did something similar if am not wrong, but it's not suggested to hold a big amount on a centralized wallet so be careful with that.

Sad that it would take a little longer before many establishment would consider that. They're not used to unstable price that's why they just can't accept that payment method in the end.
Some have the risk-taking mindset to do so, but most don't.

The fees are the issue unless you bought a ton of vitamins to make it worth the transaction costs. It is not feasible at all to use Bitcoin for any minor transactions. What did actually happen to lightning channels, aren't they supposed to offer cheap transactions and if yes, why aren't widely adopted?

i have the exact illness as yours . will you share the name of the vitamins your using , maybe itl help me feel well because the local vitamins that i used seems not really effective .

The vitamins I am using since 2013 are Usana Health Sciences. Try to Google that and research their website. I am a long time user of these vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, and I usually bought it from a licensed distributor here in the Philippines. It has a 96% absorption rate that it goes to your bloodstrea where it is purely effective without any side effects, contraindications, overdose, etc.

May I know which country are you from? Because I think there are only 20+ countries worldwide who have satellite offices of this product, plus their stock (USNA) was listed in the New York Stock Exchange.

I also hope soon they would be accepting Bitcoin for product orders rather than just contacting a licensed distributor who has the option to accept crypto.

That's a good thing to hear. Here in my country, everyone is free to use BTC and get themselves involved in Cryptocurrency without worrying about government regulations but we can't trade goods with our BTC unless we exchange them into the legal currency used in our country. I hope BTC could directly buy goods and exchange for services here in our country soon.

Since Bitcoin has not been legalized in our country, it is impossible for us to trade products in exchange for Bitcoin.  So we can't use Bitcoin directly.  Only with Bitcoin can we convert dollars into different exchanges.
