is this for real Huh

at last - the eagle has landed!

maybe  it is real enough for me to collect the funding.

I won't give funds to fubly  until I have a working s-9

I have six of them

I would load two of them since the warranty is going to expire on my first two ordered in june.

Agreed - I need a copy of the goods and test it on my S9s pointed to Kano at my ISP.

We should have a "x" week testing period .... like a UAT format.

Need to also test the cgminer 4.9.2 APIs so that the miner/farm monitoring system is working.

I think at the end of the day, Mr Kolivas needs to endorse this new 4.9.2 and Kano's feedback on the pool, so that it will be business as usual.

yeah  I certainly do want Kano and CK to say this is a good mod.

also my batch 10 may or may not take the mod. as I understand the 10 and newer are a little different then the 1 to 9 or 1 to 8.

Since I have 5 older models if all goes well I would certainly want this .

So we have some details that have to be done. before we distribute all the coin collected.

below is donation address.

https://blockchain.info/address/16PP93e8tL1QuM7eoGNvLGtdfvHw5rAcd9

note that is my coinbase account but it is a dedicated address so all into it would be funds for this.

So Kano and CK need to sound off on build
we need some older batch 1-9 loaded to tested.
we need some newer batch 10 and up to be tested.

Someone has to hold my hand like a kindergarten kid to help me load my s-9's.

I am only so so loading software.  Maybe like a  C or C+
I do not want to pass this software and pay and it crashes and or a lot of people brick gear.

@ fubly thanks for doing work I am sure a lot of people will use this.

@fubly outstanding job!   Thanks for getting it done so quickly as well.

@phil it's not like the controllers go bad.  Most time it's the hash boards and they wouldn't have a clue that software was changed nor could they prove it.  They could say look at this thread but ehhh their warranty is crap anyway.  I'm going to change both of mine.  I don't figure I ever had a warranty.  Hell they still never sent the parts I ordered from their bitmainwarranty site.  27$ I figure they must need it more then I.

Great job guys.  I'll send my btc to ya Phil @lunch if you have a addy by then

@fubly will the interface still work correctly i.e. Status page and also what about change frequency?

okay this is looking like a good deal is happening .

I will open an address for funding  give me a few minutes.

Let me check that this address works.

Do not deposit into it until I test it.

https://blockchain.info/address/16PP93e8tL1QuM7eoGNvLGtdfvHw5rAcd9

16PP93e8tL1QuM7eoGNvLGtdfvHw5rAcd9

okay it is setup the test was a .01 btc deposit.

this is going into my coinbase account.

I am trying a different method of collecting funds.

when you deposit your donation please post here with your tx id

also please use a btc addy you control .  this means an addy you can sign in case we refund

Touching back here I have 2 confirmed dead s-9 boards I just mailed second one to colorado.

So  I have four full s-9's and two two board s-9's

I would load an s-9 but I need really good instructions  as if I am a complete moron screen shots easy easy easy peasy.

if fubly is native german speaker we need a guy that speaks reads and writes  both english and german really well

as my german is of the        Eins zwei drei   quality  Grin     two years in high school forty-three years ago.

I want to do like 10 screen shots of the loading of the software.

I would use 1 board and 1 controller.

Do you setup the Escrow for funding ? We need to start gather the BTC needed to pay Fubly for his work when done.

im starting to wonder if bmminer isnt the cause for antpool turn in luck(ohh the irony in that lol).  Also did anyone notice they lost over 100 ph in speed.  Makes one wonder where that went (VIABTC pool anyone ?Smiley ).  https://www.antpool.com/poolStats.htm  They cant seem to build a miner correctly i sure as hell cant trust they can code worth a damn.  Then to hide it with closed source Roll Eyes

Hi together

here is a working version of bmminer, build able on bbb

https://github.com/Zwilla/bmminer-master

If you compare it with the bmminer from bitmain you will find a ton of changes.

I have not tested it yet, can anyone confirm that is works on S9.

Please read build.md :

https://github.com/Zwilla/bmminer-master/blob/master/build.md

on my developer board I got it build without any error. Not one!

For this I hope this f... runs

p.s I`m stupid german and sorry for my bad english (sometimes / most of the time)
If you find some missing words here is the source to build the words:

QWERTZUIOPLKJHGFDSAMNBVCXY,.!

Note! It is the bmminer 1.0.0 master!
without the modification, I / it was not possible to build this shit on my bbb

on line 108 inside "driver-btm-c5.c" you find this!
#define AUTH_URL    "auth.minerlink.commmm" // "auth.minerlink.com"
#define PORT        "7000"
Change it to what you want, but do not delete it.
it is used here line 4213 "driver-btm-c5.c"

Yeah it has to be fully readable.

Plus Fairly easy to port into an s-9.

Or a new R4.

I am going to buy an R4 tomorrow

I am willing to load one of my 6 s-9s  with new software since I now have 2 dead boards  I really have 5 ⅓   s9s'

What I can do is open an escrow addy on Monday or Tues. To hold some funds for this.

Phil ill be watching closely the demo.. Id appreciate you test it in 35 c conditions to see to it it holds up to its claim.. Thanks for being a guinea pig so to speak for us all.  Let me know when you get the address setup ill shoot ya over my portion.  Thanks again everyone for your parts in doing the right thing.  Im tired of being frustrated by bad actors in this scene.  Hard to over look when there are so many.  I def want to support the few that do right.

compile ready (S7) cgminer with multi-version now with, which pool supports the

mining.multi_version, for testing?

Splitting now the option "--multi-version" into two vars, because bitmain is using this one value for two different options

hasta luego
Why would you be trying to use mining.multi_version on a S7? That nversion rolling feature requires hardware support to have any benefit.

I've done some testnet testing with it on the S9 with a patched version of ckpool and got it to roll 1 to 2 bits in nversion, the feature does not appear to be fully functional yet on current firmware as there are some dead codepaths in bmminer/cgminer relating to it in the code that handles the pool response to it being supported.

You really should be more careful and try to understand what you are actually doing a little bit more before you just go distributing modified binaries.

I have been watching this thread with high hopes that a working updated firmware with version 4.9.2 of cgminer will surface.

Still committed to sending BTC for the reward in the amount I promised once a working version is available and tested on an S9.

Thanks!

Same here i stand by my offer.. Thanks so much guys.  To hell with bitmain for not releasing this.  Karma is a mysterious beast.  Looking forward to avalon miners to come soon:).  And since bitmain clearly marketed these r4 for home miners then what did i buy when i bought the s9.. And if its datacenter only will they be honoring a trade in.. Ill happily trade three r4 that dont sound like a fighter jet for my 2 s9.  Ive never seen a company bite its own foot so many times within such a short period of time.  uffff

BR
Make sure whoever releases one, releases the full source code, otherwise you are in no better situation.
Fubly still hasn't released the full cgminer code for his hacks, he's hiding code and thus breaking the license.
