When choosing a bounty campaign I first look at the project website, the project team, activity in social networks, the popularity of this project on the Internet. The strategy is very simple - do not sell tokens at a low price, at least at ICO prices, not lower.

Choosing bounty depends on the idea behind the project and team's reputation but still it is not going to give any assurance for making profits.
The basics are verified and active team plus unique project features. If you want to be more sure, you can choose those projects with a working product even during token sale stage.
When bounty was rewarding, I choose based on product, team and hype behind such project. Truth be told, any project without hype don't thrive in crypto sphere.
