This was a mistake that has been admitted and corrected. Initially 1000 trading pairs were meant. While there are 1000+ coins/tokens out there and adding them is possible from the technical point of view, however it won't make any sense from the business point of view.
So we will be adding 1000 trading pairs, which can be made by up 100+ coins.
Google "upcoin.com scam" and you see right away a few youtube videos defending the site. Sounds legitimate, until you see it's uploaded by Upcoin.com Exchange.
