There are two main costs for a remittance transaction: forex spread, and service cost. What we're doing here can potentially eliminate all forex spread customers are bearing from Banks and MTOs now, and the service cost for individual agents are supposedly much lower than for institutional players. To say exactly how much the service costs may be between Germany and India is not for sure at this stage though, since each market/ region has a different expense scheme - our local office in the market has to take into account all aspects to make it the most competitive player in the market. For now we only have a rough estimate of 1-2% costs on each standard transaction ($1000 or more). A lower amount always bears more costs.

Has ZeroBank decided what is the main direction of its expansion? Will i be right if i suppose that these are developing countries?
Interesting thoughts Neo! We will expand in both developing and developed countries, please look into our whitepaper for the tentative plan.
Reasons are:
- Remittance does not only come to or originate from developing countries. Most migrants from developed countries send money home (developing countries), while many international students come to developed countries need the funding from their home in developing countries. So, both way.
- Exchange market is even wider since tourists go both way.
