I am very well familiar with Kelly Brook,  he is one of my favourite fighter for sometime I have been watching boxing.  But I can't really tell who win this fight, I don't too know amir Khan very well. When professional boxers fight sometimes you can't really tell who the winner will be.

Then clearly you don't follow boxing as this fight is over if you read the post several pages back.

I suggest to the OP to lock this thread for good, no need to discuss it further. Kell Brook already won the fight more than 24 hours ago.

You can open another thread regarding Brook's future fight.

That's right, we can close this thread as the fight is over, Brook will continue his journey while Khan might settle for retirement.

Sending OP a DM about your suggestion to lock the thread.

We won't be seeing Amik Khan to fight again because he made up his decision.

he is going to retire.

Amir Khan has strongly hinted he will retire after his stoppage loss to Kell Brook on Saturday in Manchester.

Brook battered Khan until the referee stepped in to bring an end to the grudge match between the two 35-year-olds in the sixth round.

Khan, who rose to stardom by winning a silver medal as a 17-year-old at 2004 Olympics before becoming a world champion at the age of 22, confirmed he is considering his future.

"I've had 40 fights, winning two world titles, fighting in America and around the world," Khan told Sky Sports. "I need to sit down with my family. But it is more towards the end of my career.

Salute to him. It's the best decision. He knows that he can't ride with the wave anymore. Truly he will be recognized as one of the best boxers in history.

It is best not to force himself to fight where he already realized that he can't anymore. If he continues to fight, it might just give dirt on his name for the continuous losing he will experience in the future.

Amir Khan does have a nice ride in boxing. Relax and enjoy the retirement with his family.

That would be the best decision he should be doing. I mean, he don't have it anymore and retiring is the best option for him.

Unfortunately for him, he did not won the Pacquiao sweepstake, that could have made him retire early.

I have nothing against Amir but seeing him lose to the best of this division makes me think that this guy will be just a stepping stone for upcoming popular boxers if he continues to fight.

but like I said, his journey is over.
You are right, this may be our last bet for Amir Khan, although yesterday I placed a bet for him, but I'm not disappointed, even though I lost the bet, because I won some time ago when I sided with boxer Amir.

I admit that Brook almost perfectly beat Amir in the sixth round of TKO, I am also proud to see Brook's statement to end his grudge with Amir forever, maybe it's true what fans and people say Amir Khan should take the step of retiring from the world of boxing, the war between Amir vs. Brooks finished.
It's finished and Amir Khan's career is also finished. I mean, there's no more promoter that will work with him because he will not get a big fight and they'll never be profitable, it will be Kell Brook now who will surely have another fight, maybe from the guys whom he has not fought before, like Ugas or Thurman, or maybe Shawn Porter.

i don't think khan will think of going back inside the ring after this poor performance. this for me will be his last. but who knows, he will go back inside the boxing ring again just for exhibition fights just like these retired boxers staging fights with youtubers.  Grin but professionally, nope.
for kell brook, he will have bigger fights but it will not be long, he will also announce his retirement. new bloods are coming in in the boxing ring.

I guess that's it, his career is over and just unfortunate he wasn't able to reclaim himself, he will be remembered in boxing as a "Glass Chin". Hopefully he will live a happy life after boxing, of course he is still an entertaining boxer, but like I said, his journey is over.

It's over now, Kell Brook beats Khan when the referee stop the fight at 6th rounds. There was no resistance from Khan, yes he still has quick hands, but once Brook gets going and started to hit Khan, Amir's body language has change. I gave all the rounds to Kell Brook prior to the stoppage of the referee.

It's just a matter of time before Brook found that perfect opening and then knock the hell of out Khan, so good intervention by the referee to stop it. And you can see that there are no objection from Khan and his corner because they know that they are really down on scorecard and Amir is getting weaker by every round. Congrats to those who beat on Brook the votes shows the intelligent of boxing community here as the vote is like 2:1 for Brook to win.

Brook is the favorite to win the fight and he delivers nowhere to go for Khan but to retire, it's a second straight loss for Khan, Brook is the hungry fighter and motivated fighter in this fight always chasing and always connecting with his punches, there's a huge disparity of punches Brook really overwhelmed Khan here, it's a one-sided match and I thought Khan will give Brook a hard win.

Yeah, same here, I thought that Khan will somehow make it a close fight. But when he was hurt early, when he was tag and his legs gets wobbly, it was the beginning of an end for him. And Brook is just walking him, didn't mind Amir Khan's punch because he knows he can take it. Indeed, good decision to settle down, but hopefully he has investment his money well he earn from boxing so that he can live a modest to good life for him and his family.

As I expected, this fight is just an overrated fight for Amir Khan.

Amir Khan is done for and he clearly understands that after the fight.

His move of announcing retirement is a well-respected decision. He will be recognized. Good decision to finally settle up.

He already announced his retirement after them match https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNSxonz4tc4 . Seeing his body condition after the match I think he has wisely called it a day. He has achieved much in his boxing career he has Total fights = 40, Wins = 34, Wins by KO   = 21 and Losses = 6 Source. whats else as a boxer you need?

He surely realized that his body can't take it anymore, and from that Amir Khan VS Kell Brook fight we can see the huge advantage of Brook, his body muscle was like on steroids the punching power was superb, even though Amir Khan has the speed and has a counter punch, it is not enough because Kell Brook has the durability to last long in the most punishing punches of Amir Khan, and Khan is wobbling every time Brook hit him with a solid punch.

I was also in favor of Brook because Khan is already done more than his abilities, and now he was just hanging around for media attention even I have no doubt he was good boxer few years back but now at the age of 35 he needs to do some other things in his life, but he was checking for something, but this fight now give him clear indication about his abilities and body, so he has done very good and announces straight forward retirement after this lose.

I was checking Brook is also looking for same announcement but with this win now this can take some time because maybe he has something better for near future, and then he also announces official about this all but still very good fight between these two and good luck for khan after retirement life.

I never doubted Amir Khan he still can fight but not as solid back when he is at his prime, it's like his body has given up on him while Kell Brook with the same age as Khan has proven that he has more strength, and durability, than Khan, those solid punches that Khan has taken was really shaken him up to his core and makes him wobble but still initiate a counter punch on Kell Brook but the power was not there, this really indicates that he totally needs retirement.

I can say that Khan should retire now.
Agree, he won't be able to attract viewers because he loses in this fight, and since it's a TKO, that's worse because it's very convincing. Now, Kell brook has a chance to fight champions or probably a boxer like Keith Thurman, what do you think?
I share the same opinion with you. Khan made this to himself because the way he handled the fight and lost via TKO, he sure don't have anywhere to go but to retire and accept that it is the end of his career now. For Brook, it is clear that he still have the capabilities needed and yes maybe he will fight Keith Thurman next, as there's no news about Keith next match yet.

Khan was very helpless since the match commenced, though he tried but Brook was so persistent and indeed as expected Khan was brutally beaten before the end of round 6. After that the referee stopped it and decides that Brook will be the one who will go home victorious.

Khan already knows what is coming to him, that's why we can't see no objection and it's very clear that he lost.

Not an upset this time. Brook's winning over Khan is crystal clear.

I also voted for Brook on this poll. But it seems that Brook will only fight one or two fights, and he's done as well.
At least no bad blood between the two. They settled whatever was remaining inside the ring, fair and square.

I also think that this is just one and done fight for Brook, no need to challenge a relative unknown fighter i n Eubank Jr, although he has his father name, which is also etch in British boxing.

He should retire for good, he has settled the long standing feud with Amir Khan.

Amir said post interview that the love for the sports is no longer there, so I will interpret it that he is hanging up his gloves and this will be his last fight.

Yeah, for no we've seen Khan's career he has his best years winning belt but then totally exposed by his weak chin. But he has accomplished many things for British boxing, including a sliver medal in the Olympics. At this time though, it's obvious that there is no fire inside of him, he is still very fast, but against a young and upcoming 147 lbs fighters, he will surely get clipped again, so its better for him to retire from boxing.

After this fight, he realizes that there's nothing anymore and the time for retirement might be the next thing that Khan will do,
It's not too hard to interpret those lines, it simply implies that he is no longer enjoying and the passion for this start already passed on him,
Maybe for Brook there's still some fight to expect he still got that solid power punch. Let's wait for further updates if who's going to be the next one that will be arranged against him.
