Nothing is impossible, we even thought in the past that the fight would not happen, but it did happen, so the fact that they have already fought, a rematch is not impossible, probably Mayweather is just looking for the right timing, this is big money, no one would ever resist it.

Makes sense although I hope they could start with it soon since they are already at the same agency, it would not be that hard. But with the pandemic still going around, I think it is better if they could plan this big event in 2022 in which would gather fans viewers that would also generate a lot of profits for Mayweather if he really wants it.

Maybe it can happened but just the same with Tyson and Jones Jr.

exhibition game that will bring lots of money for both fighter, but in terms of title fight it will be a tough one to close that deal as Mayweather's camp will surely hold on with his no loss title for the ret of his life, threat fighting Pacquiao is a huge one as it can
bring him down so it needs to assess deeply.

That is true. As @ice098 said, it might be the end of the unbeatable record of Mayweather and obviously his team is scared to scratch that fro the history books although I don't think he could live that "amazing" retirement or record if he will not be giving a chance to Manny. If he will not be fighting him, that just means that he can't defend his record .

He will not do it, i don't remember any rematches that he agree to play with, and Mayweather will not let his guard down, he will not let other people win the game because they might do like what he did to them, if he will make a rematch with Manny expect that it will create a tons of money again, but the thing is he will not be the winner this time and I am sure of it, and if ever I will not bet in this game, I rather bet in not so well known boxer rather than a game with Floyd.

Mayweather will really hold into that record until he dies. I think it would be a miracle if Mayweather fights again Sen. Manny Pacquiao, if that is the case I find this rematch to be impossible. Maybe another rematch to McGregor is a match he would approve, because it would be another millions in his pocket. He's amazing to achieve an unbeatable run until he hang his gloves, we can't argue about that but accepting these matches might've hit some of the  boxers that wanted to face him.

I just saw this thread. So Logan Paul is getting into fights with pro boxers now? I think I can guess how this is going to end. Roll Eyes

Seriously, a Youtuber with no professional boxing experience hopes to win or draw against someone like Mayweather? Even though he's retired... really? I just don't see how he can do it. This almost sounds like comedy Cheesy

Is anyone even considering the possibility of a win by Logan Paul? Or do you guys think that there is not even a 0.0001% chance of that happening? Floyd Mayweather retired from professional boxing many years ago and he is no longer training regularly. So I would assume that there is a remote chance that Paul may land some of his shots on the right position.... well.. even for me it sounds ridiculous.. If Paul manages to beat Mayweather, it will be the greatest boxing upset of all time.

No, hard no.  This guy has absolutely zero chance to beat floyd.  Zero, I can't believe sports books would even put odds on this fight.  Floyd's skill level combined with his ego and pride would never let this guy even come close to winning.  I would be incredibly surprised if Logan even wins one round let alone the fight.  Should be a ko or tko in this one fairly early unless Floyd's wants to stretch it out and make it a fight
Sorry for this but Pointing "Zero chance" is not fair since They both have power and strategy .

there are some Fight that a Punch landed exactly to the weak spot of the opponent ,or accidentally landed.

So i believe that 99% is not the same to Zero chance.

just my 2 cents mate..

One punch isn't going to knock out floyd, I didn't say he couldn't land a punch.  I just said he can't win.  Boxing is one sport where you can't match up pros versus amateurs ut doesn't work.  Throw me in a game of horse in basketball with Ray Allen and if I go first I have a chance to beat him.  Way different than throwing to guys in a boxing ring.  If you want to not accept 100% then fine but the only way Logan wins is if floyd gets a non contact injury, like blowing out his acl going to sit down on the chair between rounds lol.  If anyone thinks this guy can actually win by outboxing him or throwing a knockout haymaker on floyd, I will argue you know nothing about boxing.  Sorry but thats the truth, this match is silly and shouldn't be a thing.
I understand your point believe me because Mayweather is really born to be a champion ,yeah maybe he is being bullied because of His style In ring but we must admit How strong when he deliver a punches and His speed really outstanding against others , But Boxers have their weakness and also in sports sometimes Luck turns the game into another side.
In Professional conversation Indeed 100% Floyd cannot be defeat by Logan (i'm not saying some who believes in me are not professional ) but what i'm pointing is Reality of Life ,that No one cannot be knocked if Luck and weakness Bind together to favor the opponent .

Obviously majority of bettor is for Floyd ,but like those who will risk for logan(if there;s any) even if this called Punch in the Moon yet chances are there.

But Nice exchanging of thoughts mate ,really enjoyed the topic.

this would be my last quote for your post as we have already enough exchanged of views in this matter.

Have a great one and happy holidays.

It never came to my mind that Logan Paul will win this match.

Retired boxers are still continuously training because it's already part of their lives. And Floyd has said to be coming out of his retirement because of reasons like this.

There's really a chance that Logan can win through a very lucky throw punch.

There is no guarantee that Floyd Mayweather will win this match. Perhaps he is having a 99% probability, but then we need to remember that 99% is not always equal to 100%. Similar upsets have happened in the past. Let's not forget the fact that Mayweather is no longer in his prime. He is one of the best boxers in the recorded history, but he is almost 44 years of age and there is a small chance that he may commit some mistake on 20th February.
Yes, I know that 1% can turn the tides surprisingly but that's still a huge probability that's favoring to Floyd. Experience, career and his mind setting during the match is a big factor. A professional boxer versus a content creator, that's why I don't see Floyd losing on this match. 44 is still a good age IMO.

Nah, Floyd will play this match by the points and just try his best to avoid those punches. He knows this too well that Logan is undeniably larger than him, that is why he will safe in this match.
Avoiding is one of his styles inside the ring. It's annoying but that's an effective strategy. I saw matches by just looking at it basing their height and having a quick thought of who will win the match but, it turned out to be the opposite result.

Very true! They are just banking more on popularity here especially Logan Paul to gain their paycheck. What do you think is the main motivation for this exhibition fight? I only think of Money and nothing else. Logan is no match to Mayweather. And yet, he decided to get a fight with him because he has a lot of followers and the promoters think that they will also get their money share here. What else do you think is the reason why they pushed this fight other than money?

If Mayweather wanted a real fight, then he could have agreed to the proposal by Manny Pacquiao for a rematch. But he refused the proposal, and said that he is no longer interested in professional boxing. So for him, he is in this fight only for the money. I don't think that there is anything wrong here. He will get a few tens of millions of USD, for spending a few hours on the boxing ring. Not bad for a retired boxer who is almost 44 years old.

I think Paul wont even land a clear punch. I wonder what is Floyds tactics, win as quick as possible, or entertain spectatora for few rounds.
Damn I just dont understand Floyd, he has so much fights, titles, belts and money. And it is still not enough for him. If this was his passion for boxing, he would have chosen a better opponent.
This is not about boxing, the fact that he chose this opponent has made that awfully clear, then what is this about? Money and attention, Floyd strikes as the type of person that cannot be out of the spotlight for long and he wants to be the centre of attention again, and he is seeing all of these old boxers coming back to the ring and he thinks he can do better, and I think he can, but he selects an opponent that will not land a single hit on him thinking this will impress the fans, even more, when we all know what is happening.

This bout is just all for the show and money. I don't think it is worth watching a pro boxer and a youtube vlogger. You cannot even consider Logan as an amateur. I even didn't know that Logan had been involved in boxing aside from his last issue on his vlog about Japan. Both of them are attention seekers. This won't make any hype as much as most people think it will just because Mayweather is here.

Valid.
There is still a chance. But slightest chance won't make a player win especially in this aspect, which is sport. But for sure they will gain from doing so, more likely money purposes. If we will base on their statistics and capabilities, the winner would be obvious in a single glance. Disregarding the bias. In Sports, there are factors which will make an individual to be victorious and that I think is the advantage of Floyd in this match up. So even if it is valid to say that there is a chance for Paul, that chance would be close to zero, making it to not matter at all. Luck I think would help Paul with this thing but as I've said, I guess winning over the other player is not their aim in this mismatch, if I would say, because the common denominator why this match up was made in the first place is popularity.
Yup! Even though we all don't want to get biased, we tend to do because the outcome of this would be pretty obvious. Here are my own reason why Floyd will win whatever happens:
1) It was an only an exhibition. We can presume that the whole fight is staged. Just what like happened in Mayweather vs Nasukawa fight (but hoping it wouldn't be too obvious this time).
2) It's all about money. and lastly,
3) Floyd will not definitely let his record get tarnished by an amateur boxer/Youtube vlogger Grin.

Thus, it is safe to say that Paul got zero chance of winning. He can landed punch and make the fight a little but spicy but in the end it doesn't really matter. Floyd will prevail and that's the hard truth.

Unless it's for a cause I will not support this match, Floyd just wants to take advantage of this mix-match to make money again, he is spending a lot of fo money and he needs a source of money to sustain his luxurious life.

This is going to be a one-sided match something similar to the one he had with a Japanese guy, even if Paul has a weight advantage, no way he can beat or even match Mayweather's skill.

Well, as much as i hate floyd for being a opportunistic capitalist. I'd like to see him beat Jake Paul instead. This two brothers are really annoying, someone has to teach them a lesson.
A good trashtalker fighter could knocked them out to reality. So maybe they could change into Jake instead of Logan.
You shouldn't expect anything slighter from the two siblings (Jake and Logan Paul), they are both Youtuber and the lover of almost the same thing. Besides, they have to do something to promote themselves so their Youtube channel will gain more traffic which is what I think they are doing mate.

He doesnt care on what fans do look into his fights specially this exhibition ones because it doesnt show everything but rather on pure hype and money making situation.  Grin
No matter what people do look upon him neither great or mostly become a shit fighter which do focuses mainly on making money but still its his gain not ours.
Management do make out those fight arrangement and of course both parties should really agree and the next? Hyping it out to generate attention and awareness
which means the more people do know the fight the high chance on stashing more bucks.

Well, I do not get why you wouldn't want to make money? I mean I hate Mayweather as much as the next person because of all the things he has done, starting with beating his own wife, that is an evil thing to do and would be moooore than enough to hate someone, but at the end of the day he is a boxer, so dude is double evil for doing something like this and it is unthinkable how he could be forgiven.

But I also do understand why he would want to fight, this is his profession and he is making 10+ million dollars from this fight so I do understand why he would accept this. "He just wants the money from this fight" is totally understandable, what did you expected him to want? To fight for the belt? At his age? Obviously all he cares about is money at this point, he got all the accolades he could from boxing and now using his fame, that is totally acceptable and I would have done the same.
