According to Mike Tyson, this fight is not happening.  He said there wasn't even serious talks with his camp about this fight happening.  This from the latest Nelk podcast where he stopped by with Dana White.

Mike did say that Jake Paul's camp reached out to him about a possible fight, but that there was so many people involved and it was clearly all about the money for everyone.  Mike said he wasn't feeling it.  He stated that he wanted to fight because he loved the sport, not to make a bunch of kids a ton of money off his legacy.  Dana even said that Mike Tyson is the draw, not Jake Paul, so there's no reason why Mike needs Jake.  I'm not sure that's 100% true if Mike wants millions of dollars, but as he becomes more and more successful in the marijuana and social media spaces, there's less and less of a reason for him to get into the ring...  He's old, it's not worth it.  I think he could still kick Jake and Logan's asses, but at what cost?
I like it when he said that he can't feel it because it's obvious that the fight is just for the money. He's actually going to help Jake on his cause by taking this fight although, he's also going to earn a lot from it. I also think that he can still make Jake face on the floor if he'd take this fight.
But it's better to be clear before everyone is drawing conclusion with just the rumor that's verified that it's not going to happen.

It's hilarious that they waited this long to disprove all the talks about the fight between Mike Tyson and Logan paul. they could have ended the rumors right after it has been spread to the public, I guess they needed the publicity.
Logan Paul may have started this idea of facing Mike Tyson thinking that he could make a million dollars facing one of the baddest man on the planet when he is above 50 years and make a name for himself, but when he see all the training videos posted by Mike Tyson, who wont be afraid to get knocked out cold for everyone to laugh at Logan Paul Cheesy.

LMAO  Grin Now that makes sense as to why they are thinking to end the fight before it even starts.
What if the Paul brothers were watching the training video of Mike Tyson together and then they started saying each other to go against Mike Tyson.
May be that's how both of them then decided not to fight with him.  Grin

According to the news, the fight has not been canceled completely, but will probably be postponed.
I don't know if that's true, but it's probably about a Las Vegas license. It is also possible that it is a pandemic, or as usual, the promoters cannot agree about money.
I think we will find out more details soon.

Well if it's postponed then may be they are still not clear how and when to host the fight.
It might take another 6 months if they are postponing the fight.

Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight tipped to not be given green light in Las Vegas
A potential fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul in Las Vegas is unlikely to be sanctioned.
Former UFC champion Michael Bisping believes that strict rules set by the Nevada State Athletic Commission mean that an exhibition encounter will not be licensed
Source: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/boxing/jake-paul-vs-mike-tyson-las-vegas-michael-bisping-b1996238.html

So, the fight will likely to be postpone as the state of Nevada won't sanction this fight and give a green light to make it happen. I guess the promoters and the management now were busy finding another place just to make this fight happen as lots of people, including me, are already looking forward on this fight even if it's an exhibition match. Hopefully we can hear/see an update about it this week.

I don't understand the legal intricacies of US state laws at all, but are there any licensing requirements for exhibition fights? I assumed that since there are no belts at stake and in fact this event is more related to the show than to the sport, then what could be the obstacles to its organization? I hope we will see the resolution of these incomprehensible problems in the near future.

I think there's still no clear information about this exhibition bouts and even myself I do make research also for this game because even if it is just an exhibition bout still this upcoming fight us hype might have also a good thing to place a bet on. Yeah, still we do wait for a final announcement of this even and until no clear and further details about the event I would assume that it may somehow going to happen well we just don't know when but hopefully will happen.

Even if the fight is an exhibition match still its good to bet on it since we will see here if the youth of logan can dominate the old boxing superstar or he will be defeated by the veteran.

Well, they see the hype and it's good for marketing, so what's the reason why they cannot give this fight to the fans. I'm sure they'll make a lot of money here, but if it's lower than their expectation, then because of greediness this fiight is not going to be realize.

For sure it is knowing both of the guys have great fan base and even though tyson is old timer still many of his fans want to see him fight for 1 time again in boxing ring and even though this is not a title fight still we can say this one is exciting one to see since both of them have something to prove inside the ring.

As I thought at first, this fight might not actually happen. No signs of doing some preparations nor agreement up to this point. Good to see that this was canceled. The legendary Mike Tyson should not make it to the point to fight the likes of Logan Paul where everything is entertainment.

I wonder who's boxer will Logan Paul try to lure.

It's time now to lock this thread.

If only postponed, I hope it is postponed indefinitely. I hope this match will be postponed until it will not happen anymore.

I'm not interested with the details of the postponement. Even if this fight is already canceled, I wouldn't be interested to know why. In the first place this match should not even have been negotiated. This is just all about this crazy Logan Paul trying to make money by paying people with names to do a ridiculous show with him.

I kind of looking forward to Mike Tyson knocking out Logan Paul but I am also glad that the fight wasn't actually happening.
The same round of promotion will take place about Mike Tyson taking on Jake Paul for a while to be in the media and i doubt they will be fighting Mike Tyson.

It wasn't fake news, it's more like speculation only. Now that it's confirmed that the fight will not happen, then maybe this thread has no more purpose to remain active.

But actually, I still love to see this fight happen as I want big Mike to teach Logan Paul a valuable lesson.

Looks like the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight is not happening any time soon. They were in talks about the fight and were about to schedule it in Las Vegas.
But as per recent news it is being said that the fight has not be licensed/sanctioned in Las Vegas which again will delay the whole process.
May be we will have to wait few more months before the match goes live.

After the news that there seems to be a mutual agreement that they're going to fight for $50M. There goes these follow ups that says that it's not going to happen. But it's good to see that the first news about it was just a rumor and not true. This is much better to see that there's real representative for Tyson to verify the rumors that have been circulating on the internet. Just another article that says that they won't fight from Forbes.

Thanks for sharing the information. Now this clears the fake news that was spread recently about the fight at Las Vegas.
I wonder why they decided to pull back the fight. It could have been a good exhibition fight if they would have hosted the fight.

Maybe they havent seen much interest from the public or community which they do see or realize that making profits wouldnt be that enough or sufficient or it does involved with some legal issues or something like that?
Its true that there are lots who had been anticipating for this fight to happen even though there are some delays due to this current pandemic situation but we could definitely wait for that time.

Well, its their decision to make then so be it and this thread should be locked imho.

That would be good and if this is how they conclude the possible match-up, it's nice to see Mike Tyson fighting other veterans again for an exhibition fight because he doesn't really fit to fight such celebrity boxers like Logan Paul. Nevertheless, just my two cents the reason for the backout is simple, Mike Tyson doesn't want to have a fixed match rather he wants to step in the ring and give everything he can even though he already passed his prime a long time ago when the other team doesn't like because they wanted an easy win here using their tons of cash.

That $50 million will never happen, the fight even if it will happen will not sell that much money. This is an exhibition fight, not a championship fight, it doesn't deserve to get that huge money, and maybe why it didn't happen is because they are asking too much money that the promoter could not give.

Thanks for sharing, not sure but maybe this is another way to hype the fight and bring the noise to the media, once fans call for it then it will attract more shares and more exposures, we will wait for another months or two but interest may affect since there are old pals who wanted to see Iron Mike fighting inside the ring again..

Going to wait for further updates and see if there would be announcement regarding to the possible schedule date once

Both fighters sign the contract!  Wink Roll Eyes
We cant be sure if it was intentional or not but the things you have said which might be possible but its odd that they would be showing off those possible factors that might delay the fight again.

It isnt really that much attached to current issues specially on pandemic yet if this one talks about licensed/sanction then there would be possible arrangements that might happen.
All they need is to see that there's much demand for this fight and yes, this might be also a way on poking up the interest once again.
