You really have to appreciate Manny here, he has the balls as big as his head by facing one of the most dangerous champion at the welter weight division, Spence. Not sure if this is a suicide on Manny's side or will this be his late fight if he gets beaten or knock out cold by Spence or it is just for the money.

Maybe he got at least $40 million because that's what his asking price for the Crawford fight.

In any case, this is really Manny getting the bigger and bigger and he could be really one of the GOAT, even higher that Floyd if he wins against a dangerous and younger and prime fighter here.

This is going to be a harder battle for the old legend but definitely a lot more exciting to watch than Manny Pacquiao vs. Mikey Garcia. This is also the easier option compared to fighting against Crawford. Spence Jr. may have a higher KO ratio against the older Crawford but the latter is definitely a lot more dangerous.

Manny's camp seems to have chosen the middle ground. Also, there's probably more money in this fight than the one against Mikey, but probably lesser than a Crawford match. But, again, there's definitely the consideration of facing a less dangerous opponent.

I am expecting Spence Jr. to be the slight favorite in this match but, at least as of this early, I think my money goes out to Pacquiao.

This announcement caught me by surprise because we had only been hearing about Crawford and Mikey Garcia. I does not seem like Middle East investors were willing to pay what Pacquiao was asking for so he ended up going with Spence in a Las Vegas fight. He will make less money but it is a similar risk to facing Crawford. After 2 years of inactivity it is interesting to see if he still has what it takes to be a top pound for pound fighter.

No Pacquiao Vs. Crawford or Pacquiao Vs. Garcia but it will be Pacquiao Vs. Spence.
I still remember when Thurman is undefeated and after his fight against Pacquiao, he got his first defeat. Just weeks ago when Canelo gave Saunder's first loss happen. Will it happen again now? Cheesy

Pacquiao took a very risky fight against Spence but for me, Pacquiao will not lose anything here if he losses but if he will win for sure more fighters especially the likes of Crawford will try to fight him. Pacquiao might be old and can't deal a solid blow causing a knockout but he is still intelligent inside the ring and can win via decisions.

Spence on the other hand has this left hand that causes his opponents to knocked out. I'm a huge fan of Manny Pacquiao and for sure many here is but in this fight, it will be a 60-40 in favor of Spence. It would be interesting though if my bet is wrong and we might see Spence's first loss in his career Cheesy.

There's an existing thread here about the match between Pacquiao and Mickey Garcia that thread should be locked so we can concentrate on this one,

I already did when the news about this Spence fight broke out  Smiley.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.56881003

honestly, I like the Garcia fight that the Spence fight, Spence is so dominating on small fighters like Pacquiao but we'll know, Manny must now prepare as he has never prepared before he is facing the dangerous and probably the best fighter in the welterweight division, we'll read more news about this fight and hopefully, the fight will push through.

Like i said on my previous post that for me the best and healthiest fight for Manny at this time of his career is a fight with Mikey Garcia. It's almost a done deal but i don't know what Team Pacman is thinking right now. Maybe they saw something that they can take advantage of in the last fight of Errol Spence against Danny Garcia but there is also a great risk that they might have been deceived on what they saw lol.

What can we say? I was surprised to see that he will be fighting Errol Spence Jr next, so big respect to the legend Pacman. Yes, this is a big risk and very dangerous on Manny side, but this is what he live for in boxing, fighting bigger fighters and proving his critics wrong every time.

And if by chance Manny wins here, I think he will rose to the ranks of all time greats. Again there could be the discussions as to who are the greatest in their generation, Manny or Floyd, it's going to be a debate. But as I have said, if Manny wins against Spence Jr, I will rank him higher than Floyd, who choses an easy route of making money thru exhibition fights.

He didn't get any exhibition fight so he resorted to a riskier fight.

the difference between Pacquiao and Floyd. the riskier the more exciting the result could be. at age 42 he still fights someone who can potentially knock him down to the end. unlike Floyd who just does the exhibition. very risky for Pacquiao but then he already has 7 losses, nothing to lose any more since he had proven himself many times.

This is what I like about Manny Pacquiao because he can risk and that's why he's the 8 time world champion in the world unlike Mayweather who's doing the easy peasy way to make more money. Taking those exhibition fights rather than choosing to be a real boxer in the ring, well I guess he might gain another title of doing something like this.

And after months of speculation the team Pacquiao finally set a date for the official fight but this time it's not Garcia, nor Crawford but with Errol Spence Jr in this coming August 21st this year. Errol had an outstanding 27W, 0D, 0L, and a 21KO. This might be another Mayweather like event but I hope Spence would make a great show since Pacquiao can make a great show always on his fans inside the ring.

This will be surely exciting. Pacquaio is taking a risky fight against a prime boxer again. His last fight was also against a boxer at peak, Keith Thurman but we don't know if he will be like that again at age 42. I like Manny but Spence Jr is a no joke. I understand his pick as Manny claimed before that he wants to fight with a title boxer.

There is still lacking some information and I wonder if the early conversation before about him receiving $40 million and Crawford gets a $10 million pushes through.

After speculating that Manny will fight Crawford and then Mikey Garcia, it's finally reveal that he chooses the biggest challenge - Errol Spence.

Credits to Pacquiao, as this is a very dangerous fight for him. Spence is bigger obviously, 0 loses, although and his last fight against Danny Garcia, it was a UD. Of course, as Pacquiao fans, I will definitely go with Manny here.
Manny ended that speculation, now with a great boxer as well and fighting Spence can be dangerous too because he's young, talented and Manny is getting older already, this might be one of the disadvantage of Manny with regards to this match. The clean record of Spence makes him more valuable on this Match, the odds will be mixed for sure, I'll also go for Manny due to personal reason.

So no more Pacquiao vs Garcia? I thought it’ll happen this July but anyway, Spence is also a great boxer and finally Pacquiao will have a real fight now. Spence have a great numbers, this could be his first loss from a great boxer as well, can’t wait to see them on court again specially Pacquiao since his last fight was in 2019, I’m still rooting for Manny on this match.

Yes, I also thought Pacquiao vs Garcia is already a done deal.
But anyway, the fight with Spence may be the biggest fight in Vegas for this year.
Curious how sportsbooks will give the odds on this match.
Maybe, Pacquiao will still be the favorite here, and Spence will be the underdog.
This is really an interesting fight to look forward to. Spence has no loss yet, will this be his first?

It was already confirmed just an hour or so ago. I personally want a Mayweather rematch but I guess that ain't gonna happen. At Pacquiao's age, I believe he can still put out a show and be able to showcase his speed and power on the ring. Errol Spence Jr., though an already proven fighter on his own regard, will be having a hard time to keep up with the old man. Still, it's a fight that he will surely cherish for most of his career. I'm seeing Pacquiao as the favorite, but counting out Spence Jr's skill might be a mistake too.
Mayweather would definitely be choosing up on that exhibition fight rather than risking up his no-loss career on having a rematch with Pacquiao and also he would able to make money without having putting soo much
effort on taking down Logan so im not really that expecting that much about on that certain rematch between the two. No doubt that Pacquiao would be the favorite for this one and its good to see that
this rumors a month ago as a i remember where it did actually been finalized. When it comes or talks about the winning then i would still stick the the old guy. Spence is dangerous but i doubt if he cant
keep up with speed+power but lets see if those things hasnt changed.

And now it's real! After months of speculation, the deal is now finally signed and no more paper talks.

First, Pacquiao vs McGregor but the latter lose so the fight is not push through. Second, Ryan Garcia gave a shoutout that he will fight Manny but all is just because of his own desire. Third, against Spence but I thought the deal won't happen because of the venue issue in the Middle East where no investors want to financially support the fight (or correct me if I'm wrong). After that, the name of Ryan Garcia came back again and almost close to being happened I think.

But now it was sealed, it was against Spence. A deadly boxer in his prime that if Pacquaio will able to beat him, I don't know what to think about Pacquiao anymore as he will be an established monster at the age of 42 dominating and destroying young boxers in their prime.

I'm seeing the opposite here because of the obvious reason, Manny is 42 years old while Spence is just 31. Spence may not be the overwhelming favorite but i have him slightly favored to win the fight.

Personally i want Manny vs Mikey to serve as the final fight of Pacman's career but sadly it didn't happen and Manny is just so hard headed that he wants the hard way and want to exit boxing with a bang.

Manny Pacquiao has signed a deal to fight Errol Spence Jr. for the unified welterweight championship on Aug. 21 in Las Vegas, a source told The Athletic's Mike Coppinger on Friday.

I think I’m gonna bet on Pacquiao to win, he’s looking good value. I know he’s older now but you don’t lose your boxing brain, he’s still so fast too, one of the greatest ever.
