I'm planning to place a bet, do you think it's a good idea to bet on mike? The fight will be in few days I feel a little excited about it. That's pretty good odds by the way.

You have seen the comments of most boxing fans so I guess you know who the favourite is.

So it's really up to you, there are bettors who loves to go to the underdog specially if the odds are very attractive. But if you are a fan of Tyson they definitely it's a good bet as someone has said that the odds are good. But you have to check the sport bookies, most of the time the odds are changing as the fight gets closer.

Basing from what most of the comments it surely dictates that most if not all are favor with Mike.

But likewise there are gamblers also who loves to take some risk if the odd are very tempting. It's up to you to decide though as a fan or as a gambler who loves adding excitement. Consider also that the fight is unpredictable since both fighters are no longer active for such a long time and even they've got enough time to condition themselves still far from how they've fight when they are still at their prime. Good luck!

Mike Tyson is a favorite here, I think he will win and odds are showing that, but you must decide for yourself if you are willing to risk and bet on him.
Never bet more than you are willing to lose. Wink

Yeah, Betnomi have nice odds, and I think they even have counter offer and returning up to 30% on losing bets for some events.
Not sure if this applies for Mike Tyson - Roy Jone Junior, so you better contact and ask them directly.

Nah, Snoop Dog is just hyping this fight, and for sure he is a fan of both that's why he is calling it the way it is. But definitely, there is still a crowd that are willing to put money stakes here specially for Mike Tyson. Who would forget about this legends, and Roy Jones as well, at his prime no one can really touch him, blindly fast and his left hook one of the best that time.

Snoop Dogg just said that Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. is the biggest fight of the year.
They may not be in their prime time, but everyone is talking about them, and they are taking this fight seriously.
The reason for the hyped interest even at their advanced age is because Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Junior were the idols of many of that generations and everyone tried to imitate them in one way shape or form and they dominated the world of boxing and everyone was in awe of their performances and now we have a video game scenario, two boxers who competed in different weight class but elite legendary fighters facing each other and that is the interest you will get and it will be a sell out PPV just to see both compete.

True, but it was more on Tyson who bring this fight into popularity since he was the more popular and not everyone know Roy Jones Jr., but if you ask people about Mike Tyson, they know about him even in the 3rd world country.

Not known? Both are Americans but i do agree that Mike did really get some attention.

Roy is called the "Perfect Fighter" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkMAf0ZHO_k

And he discusses his legacy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mIFNJSZ16k

I agree though that it might not really ring a bell but this man is also a Legendary one.

While wea re all waiting for this fight there is big news for possible trilogy and Evander Holyfield vs Mike Tyson fight!
58 years old Holyfield was was teasing Mike few days ago, and Mike responded he will wait for fight with Roy Jones first, and then he will decide:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/13104633/holyfield-teases-tyson-trilogy-exhibition-bout/

It's a better fight than the Roy Jones fight, but what if Tyson will lose in this fight, would that change how the people will look at that fight?
IMO, I think so, because they are heavily betting on Tyson to win this fight, and if he lose, the interest might be lowered.

This is also the first exhibition fight in the bubble, so hopefully it will be a success and fans would be entertained.

We boxing fans can actually differentiate between boxers performance so i can really say that Roy is totally different than him.
I agree with you, totally different because Mayweather values his undefeated record that he retire with that record, Roy Jones does not, in fact, he is still fighting younger fighter even if he was already at his retirement age, some boxers does not do that, they won't risk their health and their good record.

Interesting to listen what Rocky aka Sylvester Stallone thinks about upcoming fight Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr ?
He is giving a big advantage to Tyson and saying he is a a wrecking ball. Roy Jones is moving good but he better watch out for Tyson punch

Speed kills

It would be ironic and in a way even iconic if Roy outboxed Tyson just like Tyson had outboxed his opposition in his early professional years, i.e. before 1990s. We could see something like the Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao fight, where a strong puncher (Pacquiao) could do nothing against a defensive counter-puncher (Mayweather). Floyd was just too fast and agile for Manny to employ his devastating striking potential. For comparison, see the Pacquiao vs Hatton fight
--

Mayweather can only win if you compare him based on his undefeated record, but in terms of real entertainment, I doubt if people would give him at least 5/10 satisfaction rate, we know that he is just so smart in the ring, knows how to win but does not really engage so much with his opponent and take risk of getting him, Roy Jones is pretty much different.
This is what im trying to say when it comes to satisfaction basing of on someones fighting style. Yes, he's smart but people doesnt find it appealing thats why majority is been hating him
but still he do able to retain that undefeated record but it seems people doesnt really care.

We boxing fans can actually differentiate between boxers performance so i can really say that Roy is totally different than him.

Then Tyson would floor him

Indeed, we don't know how real this brawl is going to be, but that's more about the entertainment point you made. However, if we assume a real fight, exchanging punches with Mike would be suicidal, which is what you seem to hint at. I don't think Roy is that different from Floyd. So, for Jones to remain in the ring on his feet till the last moment may in fact mean pulling a Mayweather (dodging and fleeing)

I am waiting this fight until it moves this would be really a great fight I've seen how Mike Tyson practices on video clips on youtube and I could really tell he still can punch real hard that would knock out any boxers if managed to hit and I think this would be risky for both boxers due to their age let's hope that things will go well on their fight.
57-12 in favor of Tyson, there are poster who voted for Jones as well but the video that we saw says Tyson still has it, unfortunately this is just a short fight so I don't expect a knock down here, hopefully people will enjoy but I'm glad this fight has a lot of undercards.

Even though the rounds is reduced it's still a 12 round match if we are going to look the clips Mike Tyson could still do some pretty damages for sure he can knock out Roy Jones but hopefully no one would get any serious injury that will last long or permanent damage.

Looks like majority of votes goes to Mikey,so many disappointment if Jones wins this fight  Grin Grin

We have only 3 weeks to go before this bout happens.

My cousin and I has a betting agreement that If Tyson did not bring Jones to knockout up to round 5 i will win the Money  Grin

So this means i will have to cheer for jones to stay at least 5 round without being knocked .

I would not be disappointed even if Tyson will loss in this fight, they are just fighting in an exhibition fight and we know both of them have already retired. We are lucky they still give us an exciting fight to watch, so me, I would just enjoy it and bet a little, and I'm okay regardless of the result.

About the poll, it's normal to see Tyson dominated in the voting, he is a more popular boxer, everyone knows this legend.
