Tyson getting dragged into the Octagon is definitely one of the most ridiculous decisions Dana and other promoters and organizers could ever make. That is 100% stupid. But it could happen because there are foolish and greedy people in this world.

Tyson already opened up in the post fight interview that he is now into charity. And he could once again wear his gloves to fight in the name of charity but not as a professional fighter. And I guess he is very much reasonable on that statement.
Not unless its for the charity but Mike’s age going to UFC? I think promoters need to think twice before they execute a match, it could be a dangerous deal for him. People should respect these fighters, but with money talks they will ignore who these people are.
UFC is not good for him, he is a boxing superstar, a living legend but is already old, I mean old, he can't fight with the young boxers or UFC fighters, that's a real threat to his life. You know, money talk but Tyson should be satisfied with what he makes, I thought that fight was for charity, so I think that's enough for the moment.

Nate isn't really for boxing and this will make Jake Paul have more matches as he desires to fight again soon.

Yes, that was a devastating loss, he was not meant for boxing, and actually it was not an exhibition fight for those who don't know.
It was the 2nd fight of Jake Paul, and his record  now is 2-0 (2KO).

Did not expect that draw I really know that Mike won we can clearly know it
Nobody was expecting that match to end up with a draw.

but also another unexpected knockout punch from Jake Paul well that really puts Nate to sleep. It's much more highlight for me rather than the match of Mike and Roy Jones.
This was a different match though but yeah, Nate isn't really for boxing and this will make Jake Paul have more matches as he desires to fight again soon.

Agreed! It also appears that the promoters knew that this fight was going to end on a draw from the beginning. The promoters had 2 belts created hehehe. This is similar to participation certificates in contests for little children hehehehehe.

For me ?it is not that they Knew this will happen instead they anticipated every single situation because there are many possibilities and not Just 1 winner.

And also this is a Historic event so for sure they don't wanna mess up if ever there is a Draw so They completed everything before the Fight happens.

Good observation so even if Roy Jones dominate Mike Tyson, the fight will still end in a draw, both fighters are not surprised by the draw, especially Mike, he just came here to fight to show his form and compete, we will have more fights for Tyson but I doubt we will have one for Roy Jones, Roy Jones looks older than Tyson because of his too many clinches.

We were all suckered by this fight, hehehe, draw when majority saw that Tyson really won the fight.
Even Dana White called it for Tyson, both of them are close so we don't know, maybe we can see a cross-over, Tyson fighting in UFC?

I don't want to see him in UFC he is into boxing if he go there that means he is promoting mixed martial arts, Mike wants to have the glory of boxing back, and besides who he gonna fought, legendary fighters in UFC?, there are still available options for Tyson Like Shannon Briggs, Holyfield, Kevin Mcbride.
All of these boxers can attract PPV sales just like this fight.

He already reached the summit of his career so there is no reason for him to fight as a professional boxer again. Even though he still got the moves, he is now old to fight seriously so I think there is a big disadvantage if he will fight the younger boxers. Mike Tyson already changed and it is the reason why he fight because he wants to donate a lot of people who are having hard time to buy their necessities. Mike said that he wants to fight again as long as the money will be use to help a lot of people. For me I want to see Mike will fight the current champions in heavyweight division but there should be rules because Mike is now old wherein it is risky to fight younger active boxers.

He said that he want to fight Jones again. But this could be an interesting cross-over if the known UFC fighter who likes fighting boxers.
But this will depend on Tyson if he wants to as well. Btw, if somebody is still not aware of that UFC fighter that likes to box, that's Conor.
Fighting Jones again? I think that's a bad idea, this is an exhibition fight, they do what people wanted to see, and people have already judge because they believe Tyson won the fight so there's no reason to prove it, maybe a another boxer with a good record during their pro days would give some excitement, someone who is willing to engage in a toe to toe fight.

It's not new in boxing, many times we witness that kind of decision that fans would not agree, it's even better than declaring Jones as the winner.

maybe we can see a cross-over, Tyson fighting in UFC?
I don't know but boxing is his place and he is very popular in boxing, not sure how fans would react if he goes like Mcgregor style.

It was clearly that MIke won from a mile this fight. The fact that he still has the same moves, tells us that he was born for boxing and something like this cannot be teach or learn and I'm glad that I woke up and watch the fight as even my commentators were so impressed by how he fight at 54 years.

A rematch would be nice , but make it with an official decision so we won't have any doubts about who will win.
I am glad you also understand this mate because alot of people seems not to understand that Tyson still train really hard and fight just like hes still young when they said hes going around party and despite the fact that I am Mike Tyson follower i never expect him to perform really good against Roy.

A rematch with Roy Jones is not advisable but i agree, Mike still got that move, never left him since he retire  Smiley and i would not be surprised that he will fight again but it will be against Evander Holyfield.

Is this the new normal? Old boxers coming to life inside the ring?  Wink
But if they are doing this for charity purposes, that's fine.
As long as they can still handle the punches and know what's at stake for them.
But really awesome that Tyson has still something to offer.
Considering that he's already in his retirement years.
Fighting above 50 is the new norm.  Cheesy

Have Fun )@@( Stay Safe
This fight was good and thankfully he is not hurt at all due to his old age Tyson was unable to knock out his opponent like he used to be in his prime. Overall the fight was amazing and I will the replay of the fight cause I haven't seen him fight for a long time. Hopefully, this is not his last exhibition fight for he can still box like the best professional boxer.
There is a major difference doing exhibition fights and doing it professionally and you cannot expect any fighter to return professional after 50 years of age let alone get a license to fight, you might see Mike Tyson doing a few exhibition fights and you should not expect results in exhibition fights and what surprised me in this fight is that Roy Jones gassed out pretty fast because of the heavy body shots of Tyson.

Someone commentated that the call was made on the basis it was an exhibition match and subject to easier rules then normal.   I dont know the sport well enough to say but it wouldnt be that surprising they dont need any bad publicity from people fighting past their prime and getting into any serious hospital time.

Read somebody mention about Tyson's ex trainer who gave him his particular style to overcome the greater reach others have, interesting character and sad he has been passed long time since the mid eighties.

Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. post-fight press conference:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rA6HrXOmnUI

You can listen only Roy Jones starting from minute 26, and Mike Tyson starting from minute 38.
They are talking about some rematch, but I would not be interested to watch this rigged judging decision again.

Not worth to hold the rematch if it will be another exhibition fight. The rules were already not the same as the regular boxing fight, and they still manipulated the results. So don't think supporters will be happy if they will do a rematch exhibition fight. And no one will bet on this anymore as it is not based on the boxers' performance inside the ring but how the judges will make their final decision.
