A quick and important update about this fight.

Quote
BOB ARUM’S MONSTER PLAN: NAOYA INOUE-MICHAEL DASMARINAS SET FOR JUNE 19 IN LAS VEGAS

At last, Bob Arum has already hinted a date for this mandatory fight for the Monster. June 19 is still far but still it's a good thing that they set a date and fight fans are already have this listed on their books.

Some said that they already know the winner of this fight but personally if your opponent is a Filipino boxer, anything can happen.  Grin

Inoue first needs to get past Dasmarinas here, it won't be an easy battle, this is a Filipino boxer who always love to fight as a underdog and then pull an upset. Although Inoue is one the best and the hardest puncher in this division, we will never know how motivated Dasmarinas is in this fight, until we see him in the ring and give his best effort to beat Inoue.
Exactly, he needs to win here although his opponent is really an underdog in this fight.
No schedule yet but since sports of boxing is getting audience already, this could happen anytime and hopefully in the first half of the year.

Either way, Inoue needs to win here, and then we can discuss about him facing another Filipino, but this time a more experience Casimero.
If they want to discuss, that's really a big problem because they have agreed before but later cancelled the right, we can understand that because pandemic was still fresh that time but this time, I guess they can make it possible if Bob would agree.

Hopefully after this fight it will be Casimero vs Inoue, that's the most awaited fight and it will be the biggest fight of Inoue in the US if this will happen. Remember it was cancelled, but since crowd are already allowed, there should be no excuses from Arum not to make this fight happen.

Fans will be okay if this fight will be cancelled to give way to the Inoue vs Casimero fight.

Both fighters had an impressive win last year and they deserved to have a big fight in the US.
The odds would still not change, Casimero would still be the underdog and I can't wait to hammer than odds once available.

I don't think that they are going to cancel this though, it will be a good measuring stick for Inoue here, before chasing Casimero.

Although I would agree that we are all excited and eager for Inoue vs Casimero as I believed that there are still hype and both of them 'should' face it's other at this division before anyone of them decided to move up in weight.

I agree with that, we have great boxing match up already, why would they avoid each other, or why promoter would do that.

If they will fight, lots of fans will surely be interested with this.

They could be the Fury vs Joshua in the sports and I love Casimero's aggressiveness towards calling Inoue as it looks like its easy for him to beat Inoue and that would make fans be more interested in this fight.

Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas is sure still a great match, some Filipino fighters are underestimated so let's see if Dasmarinas here can pull an upset.
Hard to believe on with some upset by Dasmarinas for this fight. If we do compared those past fighters who had been taken down by Inoue then you can
really say that this would really be just the same.Filipino fighters are good but they should really be careful with in fights with Inoue as his past records
where close range box would really be an advantage.Stamina? Inoue does have it.

For promoter or management on not allowing some fights or wouldnt sign then there are factors that do affect that its neither less revenue or they are just trying to
evade or protect their boxer on not to mess out their records.

I understand it's hard to believe because Inoue is undefeated and he is on a good ranking in the pound for pound ranking so Dasmarinas here needs to train hard and to be lucky at the same time to win. However, upset is not impossible so anything could happen, it's just up to us if we like to gamble on the underdog or think of a safer bet even with lower odds.

Casimero would be a fair fight against Inoue, he had more experience and with sturdily built than Dasmarinas. it's a bit onesided that Dasmarinas is certain to meet defeat if a matched to Inoue. Inoue defeated Nonito Donaire who had beaten big names in international boxing. it would fair to match Inoue to someone who also has a wider experience like Casimero.

is it because of Covid that the fight has no date yet or something else?

That's not what the bookies think.

He is also a champion but looks like the odds is not fair though, but anyway, as long as we believe Casimero would win we will pick that good odds.

+325 is a huge steal.

I would not hesitate betting on that odds, but I think that will change the moment their fight is finalized as that odds was only updated April 2020 and I guess both have fights after that period and they both win and also while Inoue continues to prove he is the "beast" Casimero supporters continues to grow as well, especially the Filipino so that odds really is so attractive.

With such kind of odds and you are really a fan for Casimero for sure grabbing that one will bring excitement to your
bets, knowing that Casimero have a greater chance beating Inoue.

As early as now, those fans who are seeking for Casimero are now taking this early odd trying to maximize the possible
profits, it's an open opportunity for him to comes up and shows what he got.

This odds does not exist, the fight was cancelled and we never know if they will have a chance in fighting again.

I guess Inoue has to focus first on how to beat Dasmarinas as this Filipino fighter is not an easy opponent and he should not take it granted.
Dasmarinas here as a better odds that the odds of Casimero as he is less popular than Casimero.

Maybe after this fight we will talk on a possible Casimero vs Inoue fight.

Yes, the Donaire fight was indeed a great fight, Donaire was the closest we have seen Inoue goes deep in a fight. I would say that if Donaire has the gas in the championship rounds and hit a perfect left hook, he could have ended Inoue's reign. Although he really did a lot of damage on Inoue breaking his orbital bone in the process. Hope that Dasmarinas can finish what Donaire has started.

I don't think he can, there's a very big difference, Donaire is battle-tested he has gone to a lot of fights he is not afraid to go all out and always go all out you cannot bully Donaire, we cannot say the same thing to Dasmarinas who is not yet faced someone as strong and as skillfully as Inoue, but it's going to be a good experience for him for his future fights.

Interesting if Dasmarinas can make a dent on this fight. I believe he is rigidly preparing for this fight. He is fighting a very popular name already in the boxing. The odds for this fight definitely will favour Inoue. But wonder what will be the gap of the odds?
I will surmised that it will be around 1.1x for Inoue and 4.x for Dasmarinas here.

This is another big test for Inoue, fighting another up and coming Filipino that wanted to prove himself. And we all know that Filipinos love to be the underdog and setup an upset. If Inoue wins against Dasmarinas then he has to face another tough Filipino in Casimero. They have been calling each other, specially Casimero who is very loud and making a lot of noise and really wanted to face the "Monster".

Any update regarding this fight? It's been a while and t seems like the hype for Inoue was gone.

I'm sure now that the vaccines are already available, travelling from country to country is not hard anymore so there's no reason this fight will be cancelled.

I'm sorry mate, I haven't seen or read any update so far for this fight. Probably they are still working very hard to have this show in the US wherein fight fans at least will be allowed to watch just like the recent Estrada-Gonzalez in Texas.

I'll keep this thread updated if something comes out in the future.
Most likely they would really be finding out that kind of set-up where crowd could really be able to visit out and make more money or revenue on it which it is just a normal thing for management to do so.

I dont see any updates nor news about this fight which we can presume that they might cancelled it out or just really be preparing behind the curtains and make out some announcement.

Actually it does really test out our patience specially that we are really expecting some fight for this year, something which is really an entertaining one.

This isn't a big fight though, so probably they have not finalize it as promoter could also be looking for some good revenue knowing fans are already allowed to watch the fight live. The possible fight was announce when there's no vaccine on covid-19 yet, but things have change a lot now.

seems no recent updates yet. but according to this article , they are planning to hold this coming April. however, it will be next month already and no updates from them. so it means, it will not materialise this coming April.
this covid is like their determining factor. and it says from the article, if Japan will allow Dasmarinas to travel from PH to their country. so that sched is yet to be determined as they are planning to have the fight in Inoue's home country.
All matters with the situation and its true that vaccines now are rolling out which means that situation might be different when it comes on setting up things that do relate to covid issues. There are arent any words from both parties or team which means its still not set nor finalized yet since there are lots of factors to be considered first before everything will be resumed out.It is just they are still observing on whats the situation in regards into this pandemic.

I'm sure now that the vaccines are already available, travelling from country to country is not hard anymore so there's no reason this fight will be cancelled.

Not with the vaccine-related thing but according to Arum, Inoue's camp wants the fight to happen in Japan which isn't currently possible as the country is on lockdown and every foreigner is not welcome, at least for boxing-related activities. That's the reason why there's still no date up to now.

March is supposedly the target date but referring to Japan's current restrictions and policy against Covid-19, looks like it won't happen so their next target is next month, or to somehow make it happen this month, Inoue should agree to hold the fight overseas.
