How about a daily snapshot? Save Recent merits once a day, and look back when you need it. I could do this (2 minutes job) on loyce.club if you want.
That sounds good, that's what I am asking for. I'll be glad if you do that.
Done. See loyce.club/other/Synchronice/. It's updated daily at this time.

My use case is that it will be interesting to monitor how many merits were given each day, who sent the most, who received the most and so on. It will be a beautiful statistics.
That's what merit.all.txt (46 MB and growing) is for. See usernames.txt for the names. It's updated weekly after theymos' Merit data dump (theymos only dumps the last 120 days, I add them together).
Ha ha, you are THE MAN.

EDIT
@LoyceV I hop this reaches you because I'm editing post instead of creating a new one.
When I click on one of data file, for example this one: https://loyce.club/other/Synchronice/2024_10_10.html and then click on any post, it redirects me to a page that doesn't exist, i.e. it redirects me to loyce.club domain instead of bitcointalk.org domain: https://loyce.club/index.php?topic=577207.msg64619065#msg64619065

By the way, I see on your website that you might be interested in redesigning of an error page. Wanna get one from me for free?

As LoyceV mentioned, this would be a very large list, so what would be the purpose of it? It couldn't be loaded all at once so it would need paging or the annoying load-as-you-scroll contraption. And filtering, which already exists, but it requires "to" or "from" user name to be specified. We can modify the filter to allow it to be used without user name, e.g. by date alone. If you have a specific use case - let us know.
No, it shouldn't be loaded at once, there should be paging for a better experience.

By the way, what do you think about my idea of writing html/css/js template for BPIP? If you want, I'll try to create front-end interface that will consider every option and structure of BPIP but with a modern layout. I'm just learning Front-End, that's all (want to change my career).

Guys, can I see recent merits in live on BPIP? I can't find such option and there isn't one, then I think that it will be nice if you add it. Of course if you have time and it's not technically hard. At the moment Bitcointalk also shows the list of recent merits but it's very limited, at the moment I can't see the merits that were received earlier than 6 October. If you implement it and keep the record of all merits, sorted by recently, that will be cool.

It shouldn't be too difficult to make a list like my seclog log, but those lists tend to grow VERY long. For seclog, it's meant to search for an entry. For Merit, there are better ways to do so.

BPIP has the full list of merits for all users. The following link gives you the full list of merits you have received so far.
https://bpip.org/smerit.aspx?to=Synchronice

You can click on "Report options" button to get such list for any other user. You can also get the list of merits sent.

If I create a brand new design in html/css/js, exclusively for BPIP, to improve user-experience and also to improve/showcase my skills, will you implement it on BPIP (if you'll like of course)?

Goonies never say die.
It seems that the problem that happened earlier has reappeared. Earned Merit count differs from the actual numbers, if I noticed correctly, it was in the last two or three days
For example, ibminer last 3 merits are not recognized, earned on a previous post in this thread, the same thing on @logfiles

Thank you! This isn't really related to a locked job, but related to a job that hasn't run recently because the parser that runs this particular job is offline. I saw this yesterday and reached out to suchmoon to see if he can get his started again but temporarily I've switched my parser so it will run these jobs and get things caught up for now. The majority of jobs are shared by all parsers, but we have split the flag log, which only gets run on 1 parser, and the processing of the merit log is handled by a different parser, to balance the load. Nonetheless, the merit log should be caught up now!

I can see some accounts that have woken up and posted like this - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/tarmi-81301
However, then "Inactive" flag still persists until an individual profile is refreshed from the website. I wanted to alert you just in case there's some issue that you may not be aware about.

This account is also showing as still banned, but the profile was unbanned recently and even posted, unless if of course it was banned again  Shocked
Refreshing didn't help in this case.

Thank you!  Looks like another locked job, unfortunately since Sept. 5th we've missed picking up the new posts list, which would have effected the automatic marking of un-banned accounts. This job is running again.

For the flags, only new flags are automatically checked/updated for up to 2 days after the creation of it, then falls into a (manually) scheduled full run for any future updates. I originally had been doing this weekly, but after 4 years we are up to ~3,329 flags, which takes over an hour of dedicated parsing time to get through. I try to do it monthly now, but I'm a few months behind. I'll schedule a full refresh on all flags to clear up any older ones that may have changes.

We had a bit of an issue with the recent patches to the forum "Last Active" timestamp. It should be ok now but please let us know if you see any issues, particularly if you click "Refresh Profile".

Perhaps the function of sorting by "Last Active" could be enabled, that would make a compromise.

They can still be sorted alphabetically - just the active ones are sorted first, then the inactive ones.   Searching for a user name by sorting by last active date wouldn't make much sense if you think about it.\\

Edit:  I thought about it and it could be used in a search.

Edit2:  Fixed my quote.

Could you sort the results so inactive appear after active accounts?
idk, As long as there is a mark indicating inactive or banned accounts, I'd rather see them sorted alphabetically, than ninjaxjhg before ninja

I think there's something wrong with auto parsing of profiles.
~

Thank you! (and PowerGlove who alerted me earlier also!).  suchmoon came to the rescue on the correction, all should be flowing again.. thank you again SM!! Smiley

I think there's something wrong with auto parsing of profiles.
If you check the list of users with most earned merit or the list of most active users, you will see that the last parsed time for almost all users is 2 days ago.

There are only a few users that their profile has been last parsed in less than 2 days ago and I guess someone has refreshed their profile.

Can you feed them a different version of the site? Rick roll or something?

LOL I thought about something like that... picture of Pooh perhaps. But that's too much work. I just blocked it because of course it didn't respect robots.txt rules even though it fetched the file.
