I don't remember well, because the stats were disabled just a few weeks after i registered my accounts but i found this, someone has to confirm that its correct:
P. S. Talked to a guy who confirm that this is how it looled like before disabling this feature.

Do you (or anyone) have a screenshot of the stats page or some other source as to what used to be on that page?
I remember the number of posts (and percentage) per board, number of poll-votes and a graph showing the distribution of activity per hour of the day

Do you have any method to get a userID with a username through an automated process?

We just have to request Theymos to active it back instead to scrape all the data again. If it's done trough the forum software it will be using less resources if for example use a data scraper only for this. The servers will be still on load anyway.

Or perhaps to approach it from a different angle: what info would you like to get?

We might already have some or most of it so it may not require much additional scraping, or we could show at least what we got.

I'm not 100% sure what theymos' stance on it is, the question has been asked a few times in meta over the years but I've assumed, based on the reason it was disabled, that it is too dangerous to re-enable due to potential abuse. He may rather have parsers hitting public pages (which are restricted to 1 parse per second) than enabling a direct DB query that might take a good bit of resources in one click, allowing abusers to repeatedly hit the largest user stats page over and over again.

Although, CloudFlare's caching/protections might help with that these days.. not sure.

Is there any way that the old "User stats" information can be activated on this site?

I like the idea, but it's easier said than done given what is currently being parsed and how much more parsing would be needed for accurate results.

Is there any way that the old "User stats" information can be activated on this site? I can still remember a time when we could click on the forum stats page and then get a break down of the post behavior of the specific user. Now, when you click on that option, it just says : "User stats are disabled"

It comes in handy when you want to highlight the spammers and for Signature campaign managers to review people's post behavior, before they allow them in their campaigns.

Thank you for this additional data resource and all the time and money that are pushed into this to keep it operational.  Wink

I bet it has something to do with the space... no links on the page its parsing, so it has to use the usernames and I'm noticing other users with spaces that also do not get parsed correctly:
Frank Lefty Rosenthal
Don Pedro Dinero

Probably. I have most of my fingers deep in that particular pie (DT2 parsing) at the moment so I'll fix that.

I can confirm this with my profile on BPIP

Sorry for reporting too late, been busy with my home renovation work for past few days. Smiley

No worries, thanks for the feedback.

I've been keeping eye on the site the last few days while reporting for any incorrect stats but I couldn't find anything wrong. All related to Merit and Trust is correct for those profiles I've checked.

Heard the rumors about a new BPIP firefox extension, if you guys need anyone to test it, let me know Smiley

I'm currently working on some fixes to DT1/DT2 status display (for example The Pharmacist is in DT but not shown as such). When that's done, extension testing is next, probably sometime next week. I'll keep your offer in mind.

I fixed a couple of issues - one related to profile refresh, other related to merit score itself - so your merit numbers should be much more accurate now. Make sure to click "refresh profile" and if you're still seeing any discrepancies after that - let me know. Please keep in mind that some minor differences might still exist. I believe I've seen that the merit total on Bitcointalk itself (e.g. on the profile page and under your username on the left side of posts) doesn't get immediately updated when you receive new merits. If that happens then you'll see the difference on BPIP as well.

As I mentioned earlier, received merits have been fixed too - duplicates removed etc - and the updated process now works like this:

Instead I'll try to scrape the sender's recent merits page - this should fill in those gaps.

There are some minor display issues, for example some deleted posts in the list of sent/received merits don't have any titles so you can't even see what the post ID is. We'll fix that eventually but it's not a high priority at this time.

Its been a while since I checked my Bpip-Findingnemo account, but I noticed something there is a mismatch on merit score and received merits.

Merit score supposed to be 144 right?
My merit count is also in the same spot. I'm guessing the merits on the tables are updated once a month while the "has x merits part" are updated instantly or within a few minutes.

You started with 10 merits, right? So the 134 received merits is correct? Just making sure because I just told ibminer that received merit data has been fixed so he'll fire me if it's not Smiley

I'll be looking into why the total is 132 instead of 144, along with a few other similar issues.

Trust color now appears on DT1/DT2 strength reports.
Suggestion: replace the words "Dark Green" by the Trust score number. The dark green background color in the cell is obvious enough to omit the word, and replacing it by a number adds more information.

Another issue with meirt. Look at this profile > skysblu

I know this case. He deleted a bunch of posts. The problem is that we're using https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=recent to scrape merits and that page doesn't show the receiver. So we're then trying to scrape the post link to determine the author (i.e. the receiver) but that fails because the post is no longer there.

Instead I'll try to scrape the sender's recent merits page - this should fill in those gaps.
