money comes in only for the first places, not all of them, right?
what are the money prizes for the winners of  Brasileirão and Libertadores?

It's not just the winner who makes money in Libertadores. All participating clubs receive money, for participating, for victories and each time they pass the next stage:

Quote
Prize money
As of 2019, clubs in the Copa Libertadores receive US$500,000 for advancing into the second stage and US$1,000,000 per home match in the group phase. That amount is derived from television rights and stadium advertising. The payment per home match increases to US$1,050,000 in the round of 16. The prize money then increases as each quarterfinalist receives US$1,200,000, US$1,750,000 is given to each semifinalist, US$6,000,000 is awarded to the runner-up, and the winner earns US$12,000,000.

Eliminated at the first stage: US$350,000
Eliminated at the second stage: US$500,000
Eliminated at the third stage: US$550,000
Group stage: US$3,000,000
Round of 16: US$1,050,000
Quarter-finals: US$1,200,000
Semi-finals: US$1,750,000
Runners-up: US$6,000,000
Champions: US$12,000,000

There's no need to be upset
at this point the most interesting bet is probably who'll finish 3rd to 6th
may be a tuff spot to be on the 7th or 8th position and loose the chance to go to the other big championship (what was the next one again?)

Currently, the six best places guarantee a spot for the Libertadores... seventh and eighth contest for the "pré-libertadores", then comes the "Sul Americana" for those who qualify up to the fourteenth position of the championship.
However, I've been reading that next year it is likely that Brazil will be able to guarantee up to 9 places for the Libertadores Cup.

interesting, do you know why this change happened? (or may happen)

I had no idea that there were so many vacancies for Brazilian clubs. These are certainly excellent financial aids for clubs, even the smallest ones. Some clubs should already be very happy if they manage to stay in the top 10, as this gives them a spot in the international competition and some extra money comes in.

On that basis, in all these places being defined, we will have some level of competition in the games until the end of the season.

With only 2 matches remaining, it's pretty interesting to see there's only 3 teams there already "finished" brasileirão and have nothing to do anymore.
Palmeiras the winner, Avaí and Juventude already demoted to B series.

All another 17 teams have something to do and can change positions

This is the list of teams who still have chances to classify, to have a better position or to try to avoid being demoted

Goiás and Bragantino trying to get a spot to Sul Americana
São Paulo, Atlético MG and América MG trying to get a spot to Libertadores pre-qualify

in my opinion these above are the best teams and matches to bet on, because they will do their best to win
Excellent observation!
I was convinced that Flamengo would be able to move up to third place or maybe fourth, but that's not happening.
Fluminense managed to have some important victories and with that managed to get away from the fourth place.

I believe that between fourth place and tenth or twelfth, several things can happen, because what separates the teams are a few points of difference.... let's see how this championship final will end.

I didn't understand this statement... Yes, Palmeiras has already won, but at the end of the table there may still be changes.

There are still 6 points at stake. If Cuiabá loses both games, since devision, if Atletico-GO or Ceará, win both games. Therefore, the descent to series B will still be done in threes, at least until the next round.

Speaking of relegation.... let's go to the numbers, because I love researching probabilities and I want to share with you the fantastic data that UFMG discloses about the championship.
Juventude and Avaí are already relegated, unfortunately these are two teams that will compete in the B series next year.
Ceará and Atlético-GO have a 92% and 91% chance of being relegated and will most likely join Juventude and Avaí, as Cuiabá and Coritiba are next with only a 10% and 5% chance of being relegated.
What a very interesting data site, thanks for sharing it with us, @alegotardo
I confess that I had never heard of her.

Well, at least São Paulo still has ~30.3% chance of going to Libertadores and ~69.7% of going to Sulamericana  Tongue Roll Eyes

Yes, absolutely this is something relevant and it could happen!
Practically the Brazilian championship is "closed/ended", and some teams may have some opportunity to move up in the championship ranking.

I believe that teams that are vying for a spot in Libertadores and other teams that are in the relegation zone will do everything to achieve their goals!

And there´s more, the champion of Libertadores and the champion of Sul-Americana will play the "Recopa Sul-Americana", it´s a "competition" with only 2 matches to define the "final" champion of Americas  Cheesy

Thanks for the information.
In Europe we also have something similar, which is the UEFA Super Cup, which is the winner of the Champions League against the winner of the Europa League.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Palmeiras fans on the victory of the Brasileirão!
It was another fantastic year for you, will you repeat it next year?  Roll Eyes

I think the most interesting games of this journey are Santos vs Corinthians, and America-MG vs Flamengo.
I think Corinthians win their game, as well as Flamengo wins too. Maybe it's two sure bets, but it shouldn't give you a lot of money.
Yes... despite the Santos x Corinthians will be a classic match, it will be an interesting game!
I don't know how the Corinthians roster is after the game against Flamengo in the final's of Copa do Brasil... maybe they will go with "max power" to get a guaranteed place in the next Libertadores. Corinthians is in 5th place in the championship (tied with Flamengo)

Corinthians vs Santos will be an interesting match, but I believe Flamengo vs America-MG can be an easy game for Flamengo (in my opinion)

The truth is that in this part I don't know what could happen, the truth is that both teams like me, although I think that I would gladly go for Santos, I have also seen Santos play live and direct, I like the way they do it, it is also the team del Ney, then the team has a good history, I like Corinthas their style, and the heart they put into it, but for special reasons they disappointed me when they were at their best, and that shouldn't be the case, in In the case of the Flmanego match, I will always support Flamengo, for now my teams have not changed, which are two, Palmeiras and Santos, they are the best teams that Brazil has, of course this is my opinion.

we are really close to the finals now

Yes... great observation!!
I believe the championship is already decided, but with some minor changes.
By the way, I sincerely hope that my Sao Paulo can get some victories in these last games, to at least be able to climb to 6th place and try to get a spot for the next Libertadores...  Tongue Grin

I would also say that everything is already resolved and on the table, there is nothing for us to do now, and I see that Sao Paulo is your team, it is a very strong team, in reality the only thing that matters to me in this championship is that Palmeiras is always in Libertadores, despite the fact that my natural team is Deportivo Táchira, I am aware that they have no life with Palmeiras, sometimes it is difficult to recognize it, but you cannot cover the sun with a finger, and really I think that the Brazilian teams, all of them have a very high level, even from Latin America I like to see the clashes of the Brazilians against Argenitos, a Palmeiras vs Boca Jr, it is worthy of a final and very exciting, something like that.

Speaking of places for Libertadores...
Is there any other continental competition where clubs participate besides Libertadores?
For example, in Europe there is the Champions League and the Europa League.

Hey Joker, there's a similar competition, just like Europa League, it's  Copa Sul-Americana.
It's official, organized by Conmebol and it's a secondary competition. Obviously every team focus to get a spot on Libertadores, but Sul Amaericana is important too, they give a good amount of money to teams, and in the quarter finals rounds give us good matches to watch.

Here's the official webpage: https://www.conmebol.com/pt-br/conmebol-sul-americana/

With the defeat that Internacional had today against America-MG, Palmeiras became champion of the Brazilian championship this year!!
Through this message, I congratulate the team and the fans for that excellent performance that Palmeiras obtained  Smiley

Maybe it was better that way....
Ending this anguish as soon as possible, as most already knew that Palmeiras would be champion, it was just a mathematical issue that prevented him from taking that title.

Perhaps some fanatic still believed in the possibility of Internacional winning the championship.... I myself was deluded for a long time.

Anyway, I had two disappointments this week: my president and my team lost.  Cheesy
Well, sometimes bad things happen lol

Look, honestly, if Internacional had better performance in these last rounds, and Palmeiras lost some games, I wouldn't doubt that there would be a chance for Internacional to be champion of the Brasileirão (a small chance, but there would be lol)

Worst of all were my co-workers who are Palmeiras fans, I had to put up with them all day, yeah, I confess it was hard lol
