Is it common to have this type of dispute until the last round in the Brasileirão, or is this season being sensational?

I'll post the classification to clarify

1st to 4th place - direct spot to Libertadores
5th and 6th - need to play some matches to classify to Libertadores, it's like pre-Libertadores
7th to 12nd - direct spot to Sul-Americana

Libertadores is like UEFA Champions League, and Sul Americana is like UEFA League

So, there were/is great dispute to classify, if a team at least classify for Libertadores or Sul Americana, next year the team will have more sponsors, more money, more tv shares etc, so there's fight until the last round.

quite bizarre to see this level of violence in Brazilian football
sad

regarding the championship:
nobody betting on the underdog?

Well, I'm no expert in this subject, but I'd say it's relative.
There were some seasons that were more intense, others not so much.

For example, if you search and see the 2019 season of the Brasileirao, Flamengo (champion) ended the season with an incredible 90 points, while the second-place team, Santos, had 74 points.
16 points separated the first place from the second place, that is an expressive number.

In the 2020/2021 season, Flamengo was champion with 71 points, in second place Internacional had 70 points and in third place, Atletico-MG with 68 points.

With these results that I reported above, I share the thought, this is relative, there were seasons that were fierce in the last moments, others not so much

Exactly... Well, I'm not surprised, because Internacional is an excellent team and he just took the opportunity he had to climb to second place in this championship!

From second place to sixth place the teams have not much difference in points, which will make the championship more competitive until the last game.

Internacional has 53 points and is in second place, while sixth-placed Athletico-PR has 47 points.
Difference of only 6 points from sixth place to second place.

If the teams continue at this pace, it will be exciting to watch the final round to see how it all ends.
There are only 9 games left until the end of the season, and a lot can still happen.

Is it common to have this type of dispute until the last round in the Brasileirão, or is this season being sensational?

For me what surprises me the most is the fact that Internacional has the possibility of finishing in 2nd place. When we see Flamengo with the probability of not qualifying for next season's Libertadores.
But maybe it's a surprise to me, in relation to Internacional, because I'm not totally into Brazilian football.  Roll Eyes

The leaderboard goes like this:

You can update this leaderboard, because Internacional regained the vice leadership of the championship after beating Santos 1x0 today.

Honestly, I believed that this game would be quite difficult, despite Internacional playing at home.
But, to my surprise and also to many who followed the game... Santos played very badly.
I believed that Internacional would still score two more goals, as it was "easy", but I think the "Colorados" were afraid of hurting the dignity of  Santos fans Tongue

Despite 3 draws and 2 wins in the last 5 games, Palmeiras has remained well isolated at the top of the league table.
Certainly the 8 points of advancement will help them to improve in the next games, as they are now only focused on the Brasileirão. And they will certainly be able to manage the 11 games left for the end of the season.

probably if there are no unexpected things (are there black swans in soccer?) we'll see Palmeiras winning the championship this year!
quite cool
good for them!
Well they cannot panic, seeing that Palmeiras has that performance, it is not necessary for them to start giving him some great victories to position himself among the first, for me Palmeiras will be the Champion, and well I am very aware of what they can do other teams, every Brazilian team must have a lot of respect and not underestimate them, each of them has great opinions to be winners, in fact for me they will always be the champions of the Copa Libertadores, because the other team or teams that can compete with them They are the Argentine teams, Boca, River, but even so, for me, Brazilian soccer is far superior, and I think that the one that best represents is Palmeiras.

What I find interesting and curious is to know how the placement of teams for Libertadores participation will end!

Don't think so, not only you are the one who is surprised by this, many people too, for me Flamengo is a team that was one of the best, I even thought that I could give Palmeiras a fight, but because of internal problems is what I imagined they fell a lot, also the technical director perhaps did not have that commanding voice to reason with the players, and that is something that affected them a lot, Flamengo had been one of the best teams in the Copa Libertadores de América, this It is something that can be noticed from any point of view, for those of us who follow the Brasileirao and for those who see it from time to time.

This is one of the best tournaments for me, they are the ones I enjoy the most, I also like to follow them through Brazilian channels like Band, it is one of my favorites.

Yes, I also agree with that!
Today at my place of work I talked with some co-workers, although they are Palmeiras fans, they themselves said that practically Palmeiras will be champions!

Regarding the occurrence of fights between fans of brazillian teams, unfortunately this is something common in Brazilian football, of course there are fights between fans that gain greater repercussion, others not so much.

If there is any doubt, my favorite teams are only limited to two, Palmeiras and Santos, Flamengo I cannot deny that they have had a good performance, because playing in Brazil is not easy at all, I have only had the opportunity to play once in their courts, but it was noon and with the incandescent sun in Manaus, I only lasted but 10 minutes on the field because I got too exhausted, it's hard to play there, now these teams like Palmeiras that are all terrain that have to go to South America where they have to quickly adapt to the altitude, to countries that are cold, is something I admire, that's why for me Palmeiras will be the undeniable champion.

Haha, Palmeiras ir the arch enemy of my team Corinthians, but I have to admit they are doing a great work last years, I remember the era of Parmalat sponsor and Luiz Felipe Scolari as the coach, they won a lot of titles including Libertadores, but lost to Manchester that year.
Santos is also good, but last years were not so good to remember.
It's curious to see that you already played a match in Brazil, it's so hot in here, and Manaus is hotter. No doubt that this is a key factor to a lot of teams who play here, and in some countries of South America there's altitude too.

Speaking of probabilities, I really like to follow the website of UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais) which has a lot of statistical data about the Brazilian championship Series A.
Currently they are pointing that Palmeiras has more than 83% of chances of being champion, after that comes Internacional with only 5% of chances, and them Palmeiras with 4%.

Oh, they are famous (UFMG), they run a lot of numbers to journals and television.
It's good to know the numbers before you place some bets, math never lies, and can help you to earn some money or at least to make you be more confident.

Yesterday I earn some money with Corinthians, finally haha, they won against Fluminense on Copa do Brasil, 3 x 0.
I bet on a simple victory, paying 2.50. I recovered some money I lost in a 4 rounds in a row  Cheesy
That is indeed the case my friend, it is very difficult to play in Brazil, and the bravest thing is that Brazilians play like a fish in water, they are never tired, and if Manaus is a paradise but the heat is impressive, nothing else in the World Cup in Brazil in 2014 when it was Portugal's turn to play there, they did a time interval where they gave the players a break to cool off, because in reality the heat is exhausting, partly for that reason I admire the Brazilians a lot for playing in Such strong weather conditions make it look very easy, plus the style of playing of a Brazilian is not dirty or anything like that, that's why the Copa Libertadores always remains in the hands of the Brazilians.

We are almost at the end of the championship.

Guys, i would like to know your opinion, will there be any surprises until November?

Or will we practically have few changes in the ranking of teams?

This year's champion is practically certain that it will be Palmeiras, once again. Although they are no longer winning with as big a margin as at the beginning of the season, they continue to win which is the most important thing.

Although they are no longer winning with as big a margin as at the beginning of the season, they continue to win which is the most important thing.
Well, it's obvious that I like the way Palmeiras plays, I also like this much more because the Brazilian Technical Director must be aware of all these players, of their various ways of playing and bearing in mind that he may possibly have to fear the look at some players just in case one of the team already starts and those who are ready to play get injured, the truth is that in Brazil there is a lot of talent, it is that there could be a Brazil 2.0 if they propose it, because their way of playing is impressive play, if the league had more support worldwide, it would have maybe a lot more emcoines than the leagues in Europe.

On the other hand, between the match between Cruzeiro and Palmeiras, in Series B, there were incidents, I don't know, but things like this shouldn't happen in Series B, Series A, or in any kind of league:

Police confirm four people were shot in Cruzeiro and Palmeiras supporters fight

Quote
Members of organized supporters from Cruzeiro and Palmeiras got involved in a confrontation this Wednesday. In the images that circulate on social networks, it is possible to see members of the Palmeiras fans, wearing only their underwear, being beaten with clubs. At times, the people filming the attacks even ‘speak’ on behalf of the Mafia Azul fans, one of Cruzeiro’s main fans.

This is not the way to enjoy the best sport in the world, emcoines must be controlled, it is a football game, I am not saying that there should be no rivalry, because it is something impossible, there is always rivalry in football, but you have to control yourself.

The good battle now will be at 2nd, 3rd and 4th place (classification to Libertadores)

There are only 6 teams with mathematical chances to be the champion, but to be realist, it's almost none, only a "impossible" combination could lead Fluminense or Inter to be the champions

This is the odds for today matches

I pointed both that I find good odds to take some risks
Flamengo and Palmeiras will play away from home, but in my opinion both can win
Palmeiras is strong and they need victory to keep at 1st place without pressure
Flamengo need the victory to stay at least at 4th place to classify for libertadores next year

There's no need to be upset
taking this points why do you think Palmeiras remains as one of the top teams, with most wins over time?
I suppose rotation of players is big with them too, is it correct?

here's another soccer data chart to check, rotation of players inside each team

Graphics are missing... Roll Eyes

Being a big club, it also manages to keep good players longer. At the same time he manages to hire good players as well.
Brazilian clubs also no longer sell cheap to European clubs. So things are now a little more balanced in some cases.

yes

this discussion makes me think about the huge amount of information in the world we have no available data for studying

really puts google's mission in perspective, having all the world data available at the tip of our thumbs is no small task and probably impossible to reach

Unfortunately, a good placement in this year's championship doesn't guarantee good results for next year's championship, because in addition to Brazilian championships being very unpredictable, teams also have the habit of "getting rid" of good players for money.

Mainly, teams that will have players playing in the World Cup. The fact that it occurs even before the beginning of the winter market, for European clubs, players who have a good performance in the World Cup, can be hired by clubs in Europe.

Well, it's not for nothing, but there is almost complete certainty that the champion will be Palmeiras, but it's not that bad, Internacional did its part and that is recognized, it also managed to move many emotions en masse, for me that is a great achievement of the team, I think that for the next season this will become very interesting because they will have more support, they will play with less fear, they already know how it is to play with emcoines on the surface, and this type of thing has to be experienced at least each one of those players, because they gained a lot of experience there, and some have matured a lot, so since this is Brazilian Soccer, it cannot be denied that the level is always one of the highest in the world.

Fortunately, the top 4 guarantee at least a spot in the Conmebol Libertadores, and this is "the passport" to enter the world championship, something that Internacional has already achieved before.

Anyway... we'll see what will happen in the next games.

My Corinthians will have the hardest match of all these games, and not playing home is a huge disadvantage. A draw will be good considering Sao Paulo, but Inter and Flamengo will open some good points ahead.

I agree with most of your predictions, but I think a draw of Sao Paulo vs Corinthians, and Atletico GO will win Coritiba.

I don't know if I'll place any bet in this round, I didn't find any good bets, and Corinthians vs Sao Paulo is unpredictable in my opinion, even if I think a draw is fair for both teams.

Just for curiosity, look what the odds look like for Palmeiras the first place, and Juventude the last one:

Only 1.20 for Palmeiras win

Your observation makes sense... But I don't know, Corinthians will do everything to beat Sao Paulo today.
Because if he loses, he will be distant from the other teams.

Sao Paulo will possibly save some players (in my opinion) and will focus on the Sul Americana finals.
Another relevant point, Gabriel Neves was injured and will not play in the Sul Americana finals for Sao Paulo  Sad

Honestly, Corinthias has been disappointing me, although it is not my favorite team and I took a little affection, especially for some games that they have won, this is something that every gfan likes, but I understand that now they have been improving, Do you know if they already fixed the internal problems? I don't know exactly, but I had heard something like that and I think it made a lot of sense, because losing like they did before some teams that could easily win lost very badly, however every team has the right to redemption, and well, the way a team is Brazilians and barsileros recover very quickly, perhaps their very culture makes it so.

The Campeonato Brasileiro Série A is past its 27th game and in a few hours, we will see the 28th match of the league. So far, Palmeiras still lead the standings with 57 points, followed by Internacional, Fluminese, Flamengo and Corinthians below them. The first match on week 28 of Campeonato Brasileiro Série A brought together Sao Paulo Vs Avai. Both teams have not looked well this season which makes nothing interesting in this match later.

So...
I confess that I was hopeful that Internacional would be able to get closer to Palmeiras and even dreamed of seeing him champion, especially after Palmeiras had drawn three games in a row. But he regained strength and won again, unfortunately.

At this moment I believe that the title in fact belongs to Palmeiras. Because they would need to lose two more games besides Internacional to be reached... something very unlikely to happen now.
