Oh wow it's getting better.
GA believes Craig Wright is Satoshi and met him a few weeks ago in London.

And in a few days they both will make an announcement: BIGGER BLOCKS NOW! Roll Eyes

I smell another agenda here!

Gavin just came back from China and is convinced that Paul Vernon is not a thief. Further, Gavin is on record in stating that BFL was a victim of unforeseen circumstances and the team should be given a second chance.

If they only had the knowledge to differ a valid from an unvalid key. I think it is enough for them when one fiddles around with the keyboard and have some "KEY ACCEPTED" message coming up to have them convinced.
...

Exactly what I thought. I have a mental image of big, green "Satoshi Nakamoto confirmed" flashing on the monitor in front of reporters.

If he wants to reveal himself as SN, why not doing it right. Right now it just adds to the speculation, not ending it.

If you watch the interview then look at his face when they ask him if he is satoshi. Its not the face of confidence you would expect. Looked very much like he was lying.

because probably Dave Kleiman did 99% of the work.  Undecided

I'd be inclined to entertain that possibility if he would simply sign a new tx with any early private keys, but this "genius" says its too hard to accomplish. Shame on Gavin for being so gullible to be manipulated by this con artist.

I did not care, because none of that shows strong evidence of satoshi.
many news that has been circulating, but it really can not prove it. such as news the last time he was caught in australia

Bear with me
His motives remain questionable. Why exactly did he have to go public? I'm not convinced.

I disagree. It is the face of a man who is pissed that he has had to go public.

He went to great lengths to stay private, but his old life is now over.

The signature he posted is bytes taken from transaction 828ef3b079f9c23829c56fe86e85b4a69d9e06e5b54ea597eef5fb3ffef509fe.

Part of that time was spent on a careful cryptographic verification of messages signed with keys that only Satoshi should possess.

No you didn't.

But even before I witnessed the keys signed and then verified on a clean computer that could not have been tampered with, I was reasonably certain I was sitting next to the Father of Bitcoin.

That's looking unlikely.

Maybe you're complicit eh, Gavin?

Gavin, is either lacking skepticism due to a cognitive bias (Craig Steven Wright just happens to be a big blocker*) or is willing to use this fraud to further his agenda. Either way, I lost even more respect for Gavin with this blog post.

* "Mr Wright says that if he could reinvent bitcoin, he would program in a steady increase of the block size. He also intends to publish mathematical proof that there is no trade-off between the mass adoption of the cryptocurrency and its remaining decentralised. Simulations on his supercomputer show, he says, that blocks could theoretically be as large as 340 gigabytes in a specialised bitcoin network shared by banks and large companies." http://www.economist.com/news/briefings/21698061-craig-steven-wright-claims-be-satoshi-nakamoto-bitcoin

Anyone curious about the timing of this as well ? Just so happens that this is released right after the "deadline" of segwit be released where people are complaining that the HK agreement was not met regardless of the scalability timeline always indicating a simple pull request expected in April (which was met weeks ago)

assuming this is legit, what's Wright's angle?

May the coin be with you..
He seemed quite angry about it all..

Anyways, It's not the conclusive proof we all imagined we'd get if Satoshi was to ever reveal himself. The next few days will be very interesting indeed.

So what was the whole point if this interview?
Craig said he doesn't need money and wouldn't take any.
He also said he doesn't want fame.No he wants to be left alone.
Others forced him to reveal himself as Satoshi and he is concerned about his staff.
So now he came out with the "truth" like: "Yes I'm Satoshi and now piss off!"
What??
Sorry but this doesn't make any sense imo.
