Don't get too focused on BRX. You should do the math.
If you would buy 1000 BRX for the same price as BRK you would need 20 Jears of staking to get 1000 BRK out of it (based on the 5% inflation p.a. statement).
Instead you could've bought BRK and you have them immediately.

So sure if you're planing a VERY long time investment, BRX could be worth it. Otherwise just take them as an additional goodie for the early investors.

It's fixed rate . it's 5% total increase for the first year , which each year as the total supply increases will get gradually smaller.

Block reward is fixed to about 10 coins each block you mine . so if you stake 1 coin or 10000 coins when you hit a block you will receive about 10 coins for each block you hit .  so you got the math wayyyyyy off

It's a true 5% interest rate where the block reward is based on the existing money supply. As the money supply grows so does the block reward.

Even if not all BRX is staking, the money supply still increases by 5%, compounded every time there is a PoW block. It's likely that most stakers will see better than 5% because not everyone stakes.

I have pay my attention on brk,and invested it

Thank you for your support. You will be happy !

BRX will be equally important in my eyes.....Honestly, I hadn't really thought of a number yet @Mr Ease.

What have peeps in the community been paying for them thus far?

To ensure I have this straight......

If one did not participate in the initial coin sale in 2014 and the minimum funding target of at least 2000BTC is not reached on Bittrex, the only way to acquire BRX will be via a future coin sale which has yet to be determined.

Is this correct?

If so, when might the coin sale for BRX take place roughly?

Technically yes . but also people who bought and got BRX in the first sale will likely also be selling them, not certain if BRX will be listed at bittrex after IPO or not , hopefully it will be and i thought it was said it would be but apparently it isn't clear yet . But there are people selling off market currently and people buying BRX from original IPO buyers

no set date as of yet for a BRX sale thou

Don't worry, I understand your point clearly.....I'd just like some BRX to go along with my BRK Wink

Early BRX stakers have the potential to earn a ton of brk. especially if none are given out during this crowdsale.

And how much are you offering? I have a small amount of BRX

Is there any actual money or bitcoin that will be used for the bankroll or is it all just breakoutcoin that will only have value if ppl decide to buy it on the exchanges?

Yes his is FUD but it's a legitimate question hat needs to be answered

I think it's the value on the exchanges. But since they allow cash deposits, I wonder if there will be a conversion on the poker site.
if other sites come along that use brk, which is a limited supply coin, I see it having a strong price.
It all depends on how popular the poker site becomes. Anyways, I see people hoarding the coin. Atleast short term.

So if there's no money or bitcoin and we can only get some if someone buys the breakout coin they give us in exchange for our real money then this means that this is a ponzi?

Ok, but that underlines my statement even more xD

no it doesn't , Your math is way off , if you don't split your coins up in your wallet, yes you are technically right . if you stick with just having 1 block of 8000 for example then each time you hit , after 12 days it would split into 4000-4000 the next 12 days you would double your earnings from the last 12 days , give or take a few days of hitting a block, but if you say for example split all your coins into 100 coin staking chunks you would increase your chance of hitting a block massively. allowing you to hit many multiples of blocks over the 12 days . Not completely resetting your total accumulated coin age every time you hit a block

Edit : might be wrong about the 5% getting smaller over the years as it might adapt and always be 5% every year compounding the amount and increasing block size to match the 5% every year

Question:

Could any one help me out with minerd or bfgminer of sgminer?
I only get False positives, no valid blocks mined for 48 hours now. Getting a bit tired of this..

breakout.conf
Code:
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
debug=1
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcport=10123

Minerd
Code:
.\minerd -a sha256d -o 127.0.0.1:10123 -O username:password -D -t 4

SGminer
Code:
@echo off
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
timeout /t 3
.\sgminer -o 127.0.0.1:10123 -uusername -ppassword -g 2 --intensity 20 --thread-concurrency 8192 -w 64 -g 2 --no-submit-stale

BFGminer
Code:
@echo off
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
timeout /t 3
bfgminer -S opencl:auto -o http://127.0.0.1:10123 -u username -p password --set-device intensity=20

I get a hashrate, but no valid blocks and minerd says "False positive" when finding a block.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your time.

You aren't doing anything wrong the problem is your hash rate. You are finding blocks that have already been found. you are mining @ 4,000,000 hashes a second where even with my small rig running I am mining at 5,000,000,000 hashes a second more than 1000X faster than you.

You have ASIC coinbuyer2580?

Yes, I am running an older Gridseed 5 chip Asic dual miner for this coin.

Cool... Might need to call on you for help on mining, I don't have ASIC and I gave up on CPU mining Smiley

btw, have you gotten any fees from other coins on the chain?  (fee scavenging)

The only fees collected so far have been in SIS coin I think from Card transfers, because BRK & BRX aren't being traded around I haven't scavenged any fees for them.
