Looks like I was paid .5 last night. I had already shut down the computer or I would have posted when I saw it come. I can't update the spreadsheet though, it doesn't want to come up for me. I got it now, the spreadsheet is updated.

Their seems to be a large group of people on this forum who are asking for more transparency.  We have asked in multiple different ways, and all of our cries have gone unanswered.  This doesn't do well to keeping the crowd calm.

We are requesting the following:

1) Acknowledgement that you received / confirmed our amount owed.

2) A list or plan for repayment.  When can people expect to be paid back?  In what order?

The above will go a long way in calming people down, and I'm sure it will certainly help with the duplicate e-mails/requests.  If we can help/assist in any way, I know a number of us are more then willing to lend a hand - if it means as a whole we get through this ordeal quicker!  I know several people have reached out to you with suggestions/advise but their cries have also gone unheard.  In the first post, almost 3 weeks ago, you mentioned that you were open to suggestions on how we can make this a better process.  Recent events have shown us that this simply isn't the case.

I know personally I sent my information in June 1st, and still haven't seen or heard anything.  Not even a small installment payment! I know I'm not alone on this.

Please take a moment to listen to our requests.  It will make this process easier for all involved (Including you).

I joined this forum when I heard about the refunds. Sent my info in a PM and also sent an email. This was towards the end of May. Haven't sent anymore because I don't want to get bumped to the bottom of the list as has been mentioned by BTC Arbs. I am growing tired of having no response, yet people that have sent the guy a PM in the last week seem to be getting refunds. How the hell are these prioritized?

Nobody knows.
Last payments have been made at June 17th.

Based on who sent their messages first (according to the spreadsheet) I thinks these people should receive payments first:

May 29:

broznic: 2,23 BTC
s1m0n: 3,17 BTC
thor4: 10 BTC

   Total: 33,48 BTC

MrMateria: 0,79 BTC
airwalker2662: 1,06 BTC

lesnod11: 2,45 BTC (received partial payment)
Slipknot79: 3,25 BTC
FreeJack2k2: 24,8 BTC (received partial payment)
   Total: 35,45 BTC

please note: there are many blanks in the spreadsheet from people who did not add their message details, since I can't see when they've sent their messages I did not add them to the lists above.

I agree that the payments should be processed in order of when messages were sent. It should be like a line up and those who send mail first should be paid first. Simple.

I haven't been reading up on btc-arbs lately, but how do I apply for a refund? I still had 0.8 bitcoin stuck there just before they went offline.

Send btc-arbs a PM (here on Bitcointalk), send him and email at the address that he posted (both with necessary info like your username there and amount deposited) and also put your username in the spreadsheet.

He has said he is going mostly in order of requests received, along with some random (small amounts he can pay in full). I was the first of the large investors to request a refund, so he is tackling mine first. When I'M paid, I am sure he will then go to the next large investor on his list of requests. I was also one of his earliest large investors, having opened my account in late February.

I know everyone is anxious about this but look at how much needs to be repaid, and how much he is paying out. It makes no sense to make micro-payments to everyone, so that you feel like you are being repaid. The best method is to pay debts in full as you can.

As for Yonce attempting to collect information, the reason more info is not public is because we have idiots out there who will call family, make threats and take measures that may result in nobody being paid. Fraud charges come with jail time, not a repayment strategy. It should be a last resort, only if he stops paying people back. I also question Yonce's motives a little bit, as he doesn't have any money at stake here.

On the other hand we have to prevent a small circle of "knowing" people.

Especially if they are at least as non-trustworth as BTC-ARBs themself....

You can expect that such people will misuse their "secret knowlede"

There is no need to replace on scammer with others.

Therefore its the most fair and transparent procedere for all involved if you share your knowledge here.

Even with the risk of bad behaviour of some people concerned by this BTC-ARBs mess.

But as we have seen, some kind of pressure seems to be not that bad at all,
or do you think BTC-ARBs admin had appeared here without it.
BTC-ARBs himself told us that one reason of his appearance and fear is, that someone has phoned his/her daughter...
(JENNIFER HUNGSHI of Hongkong ?)

Don't focus on that Jennifer Hungsi name, any contact information on that wois report is just made up. Could we please not focus on his identity and focus on the refunds please?

Also: yonce, would you kindly stop posting in this topic since you do not contribute to the cause?

I would be happy for now if we got a simple acknowledgement email from the admin stating that our emails have been received and request is being processed..

Thanks

Hi Armin, please use a PM (personal message) to the user "BTC-Arbs" on this forum, he will process your payment. A post on this thread is not enough unfortunatelly.

Next to that, if you could add your details to our google spreadsheet it would be really usefull for us to get some insight:

In looking at the spreadsheet as things develop, the pattern of repayment is pretty obvious. People with small amounts owed (less than half a Bitcoin) are being refunded while those with higher amounts (which are harder to pay off) must wait a while.

There's a concept in debt repayment that's promoted by Dave Ramsey called the "Debt Snowball" wherein you attack your smallest debts first, which then gives you an increasing amount of money with which to repay larger debts faster. Seems like the admin is largely following that philosophy and so once the little guys are repaid, we should start to see some acceleration into the mid-pack repayments. I'm glad gise87 decided to maintain this for us, very useful.

New page, new spreadsheet link:

In my opinion that's still an assumption, even the concept of 'who wrote first' has been a tough pattern to follow, not only do we not know the order but it hasn't been held too very well (as best I can tell).  If the concept of paying small investors off first works best, then let that be stated and stick to it, at least we can all follow that.

I can't log into the site - how are you getting in touch with the admin to send refund details? If there is an email address, could you please PM or post? I have added my details to the shared google doc.

Thanks!

Look back at the first post by BTC-ARBS, all the information is there.

Hey everyone, first time posting here.

I had thought my btc in BTC-Arbs was gone and buried up till yesterday when I stumbled upon this thread. So forgive my late entry to the list. I have added my details to the spreadsheet, and sent my transaction details to BTC-Arbs via PM here and via email.

I'm not going to jump in and suggest anything as you all seem to be working stuff out by yourself. I do agree though that having a payment schedule would be a good way for him to stop some of the badgering he is receiving. I also agree that spamming any details that people have on him here would be a bad idea. Threats on him or his family are not cool at all, and I think leaking his details out would only make things worse. IF the repayments stop, then the details can be given to the authorities.

I'm just happy that there is a chance I might be able to get my 2.8btc back, let alone the 3.5 that I had with interest.

Cheers,

FuzwaldQO.

could be, but without any proof it's just pure speculation.

I think we might indeed see the end of the list, today, only 3 new users signed up to the list.

I really doubt this BTC-Arbs guy picked up a second job cleaning toilets or flipping burgers so that he can LEGITIMATELY pay everyone back.  The reality is, he's probably set up another scam site and using that to pay you guys off.  So, in the end, you will have a new set of victims that those here, who have been "fighting for justice", will gladly turn their backs on when they get paid in full.  "No our problem anymore".  When I think about all this, I really don't know who is scummier.

Why would any scammer ever set up another scam to pay back users from the first scam instead of running off with the money from both the scams?
I truly believe he is indeed arb trading and paying us back with the profits made.

If he already had enough money to actually do arb trading and make a substantial profit, he would have already had enough to pay everyone off to begin with.  You need large sums of money for arb trading.  He tried to run off on this one, but his "identity" got caught.  But he could certainly be operating under a new identity somewhere else.
