In my country the most people have heard from Bitcoin but doesn't know what it is, the most people heard it from the television.
Bitcoin has a bad reputation over here.

bitcoin in the country has not been approved, but has begun to recognize bitcoin, I believe every year many people are using bitcoin.
I think most countries also prohibit bitcoin, it's normal or mainstream, I'd be surprised if your country does allowed the use of bitcoin and not prohibit in your country
yes, including in my country as well. may be due to several factors such as government agencies are worried about the implications of bitcoin, because it has the ability to be used anonymously, and therefore is a potential instrument for money laundering.

I'm from India. People here generally prefer making payments using cash, it's a very liquid society and mostly prefer using debit cards to make payments at large supermarkets. Use of virtual currencies and virtual means of payments is usually low and preferred by those who have internet connectivity and good knowledge of how to use it. Despite this it's nice to see that facilities like net banking are increasingly rising and user preference for it is also hiking. I'd love to see online as well as brick and mortar merchants accept Bitcoins for daily payments, but I'm expecting this to taking a lot of years to evolve.

Not that much, there are tons of new guys from south asia joining, just look at google trends. Bitcoin is basically booming in that region.

And it's also starting to become established in Europe, so it will have a stronghold pretty soon in the world.

To be honest considering the large picture of "Asia" as a whole, those metrics might seem worthwhile. But, in India I haven't seen a single brick and mortar merchant or a large/medium/small online legitimate  merchant that would accept Bitcoin. But there are lots of Bitcoin exchanges emerging in India which seems to be a pretty good start. I did notice a lot of Bitcoin meetups happen in my city, hoping to visit a next meetup.

Hi!  Smiley
How BTC bitcoin developed in your country? Are there many people in your real life that you know that use BTC ?

Bitcoin in my country is not popular. Only few people know about bitcoin in my country. and in real life i never meet people who use bitcoin, but on online i know some people in my country who use bitcoin.

Yeah but we need active users of bitcoins who earn bitcoins and spends actively, then only bitcoin will become more popular, same is the scenario in my country where no one have even heard about bitcoins, so it becomes really difficult to explain them the entire concept of bitcoins.

Maybe 2 out of 10 people knows Bitcoin in our Country. That's how I look at it. Slowly Bitcoin is being introduced through social media like twitter and Facebook but more on the ponzi side like quick money scheme, doubler and cloudmining very little about dice.

In India BTC still take some time to get famous. I know already it is going at very fast rate but yes as you say mostly having good knowledge of internet are aware of this. But as it is growing it would adopted easily in throughout the world then India also would adopt it soon.

I am in Canada and we have a BTC ATM here in a pizza shop. I don't know who uses it but people must use it or it wouldn't be there. There is a person who mines

btc in our locale that bought a miner off me for some and I met him in real life, so I know he uses coins as well. We seem to have a local chapter for btc, so I found it on

Facebook and started talking to someone and got the power supply and some stuff for the miner. Will get another miner another time. Love mining coiins. That is da shizz!
