The proof has never been questionable though as of the moment there has been a lot of unfavorable market for the entire cryptocurrency, yet as we have seen bitcoin though dropping in value and volume of usage yet people still believes in its utility as a digital coin. This makes it always the top coin. For how long that depends on us who uses it.

Hundred percent agree with your opinion and as a proof more than 50 percent is the dominance of bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market even if the market is in a big bear market right now. However when the bull market starts the dominance of bitcoin might slowly decrease but it will still have the big chunk of the pie.
