My partner and I are in on Ethereum. With so many companies using them it seems like its ecosystem is taking off. Bitcoin could stay King but has a chance to become dated without updating some of its core problems (transaction speed/cost).
I will go for both 
In the flow of ths year must grow Ethereum. His rates show more stability than Bitcoin. On his branch many altcoin that can be profitable in 2018 are started.
Still bitcoin,and if BTC failed us there will be ethereum to lead all the cryptocurrencies and thats for sure,ethereum is a solid platform has a good community,users will surely choose ETH over any altcoins if they are choosing which coin to replace the leadership of BTC,.but i dont think BTC will fail us this year its morelikely getting ready for the big bull run.
There is no way that bitcoin will fail as it is the king of cryptocoins but i would prefer Ethreum over bitcoin in terms of current market situation as Eth have some better features which are missing in bitcoin and Ethreum got stability which is lacking in bitcoin (sometimes we just cannot predict the market situation but experienced users know about the fluctuations).
Bitcoin technology is not best but it's a big investor in others so it could be good as well.

When it comes to investment both coin is the best choices and it would be more profitable if you have both coins. Some might choose Eth because the price are still affordable for those wants to invest with an average capital compared to Bitcoin, and Eth has a lower volatility than Bitcoin. But I still choose Bitcoin over Eth, and Im lucky I have both coins in my portfolio
I think bitcoin has too much capitalization to grow further. ETH develops and it has more potential for growth.
Both are the best coins around. But Bitcoin gets a lot more negative attention. Ethereum will recover a lot faster, so it is better option right now for everybody who is in doubt.
I think both tbh. Along with those two, I would also get your hands on some Polymath tokens. Securities will be huge this year and they're the one's leading that movement.
I still choose ethereum
Why do you choose etherium but not bitcoin? Do you have any personal reason?
In my opinion also i choose etherium because etherium is the most popular altcoin that is used to buiid new technogy in the project and also the price is still very lower than bitcoin, so thats why i choose etherium.
Etherium really shows a good beginning when it entered 2018 and the opposite effect for bitcoin,but for me i will still choose bitcoin among those two.Etherium might be hot at the moment but i don't think it will reach bitcoins price,its still a long run for etherium though.Having an advance technological aspects that etherium have that exceeds bitcoin is the reason for its rise on demand.Bitcoin at the time having some problem but i do believe that it will pump again anytime soon.
I would like to invest in both for 2018. Bitcoin is much more expensive but it has a demand always and i need to invest with Bitcoin for sure. Eth also growing faster and investing Eth is a wise decision. I personally believe that these both coin prices will reach new high margins this 2018 year.
ETH has much more utility and very well adopted on ICO market, untill something like RSK deploys its mainnet Id stick to ETH, expecting a higher % growth than BTC in 2018. BTC as a store of value and being in high demand will grow of course to its new ATHs, but ETH has much more utility and required for every ICO these days. And ICOs are basically what moving the market further.
Bitcoin is not the only currency that will have a good year. Experts predict that for Ethereum next year may be much better than bitcoin. Since Ethereum is managed by a group of developers who control how technology develops, it will be guided by certainty and longevity.

The only thing you need to know - shards ans scalability... If Vitalik will make them very close to reality you will get the best profit with Ethereum.

In my opinion, ethereum should grow in price faster than bitcoin. Bitcoin will remain in the first place, but ethereum will get to him very closely.
Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?
In the beginning of the 2018, finally Ethereum started to show its potential and its price is still good. On the other hand, although it couldn't catch a good price so far from the beginning of 2018, I think the best and the most popular coin is still bitcoin.
I think both of this coins might bring good profits in 2018.
I have faith in both coins, but I have the feeling that 2018 isn't BTC's year. Bitcoin is facing many problems and the major one is the high fees. Some say it is an asset but it was made for daily use. Segwit didn't lose the problem yet and lightning is still far far away.
I believe we are going to see lower prices and I've started buying it.
Ethereum has many potential and I support it too. I believe that ETH price will reach new highs this year.
