The $5,000 prediction was supposed to have been met between June and July. At least, that was what I heard on radio in February this year. Since it still hasn't been met till now means that the forecast has failed already and has dragged longer than necessary.

It was rumors which was created by people there were just implementation means bitcoin was upgrading and it is already upgraded now the confirmation speeds goes very speedily and people are happy by that as you mentioned 2500 then now a days it is above 2800 because it has gain a lot of strategies which is quite great for bitcoin.

Yeah it can and I'm sure it will happen at the end of this year after seeing increase on bitcoin prices in this time goes very well, bitcoin prices a become tend to survive and then increase and continue to be pumped.

I believe it won't go down that easy and will continue to trade for 0.05 to 0.1 BTC for a while. There are many altcoins worth much more than this one, it still have a potential to join them as a speculative asset.

As long as we will see the dust of recent scaling upgrade settled then Bitcoin will resume its victory march.
I expect that price of BCC will gradually gravitate towards zero while BTC will grow exponentially during the 2nd half of 2017.
Now when we have no network congestion, fees are low an transaction are confirming faster - the price of BTC is destined to rise.

It's not going to go to $6000 that soon, first it has to pass $4000 and this is going to be a test. Even bigger than $3000 was.
It's like climbing a slope, the higher you are the more cold and windy it gets and it's harder to climb. $4000 is going to be hard and $5000 even harder. We won't get past this for another year!

$6000 even possible as well because as people talking about 1 August that there will be a huge change then right there will be huge change which can change the people lives. Because it will directly reach to $3500 above so I would say that $6000 even more possible as well. Today I will go to buy some bitcoin that I will be rich buy end of August. Because you know hope for the best.

So we've saw that the price was already stepping on $3k and even adds some $100 on it. Oh boy, this is making me excited.

5000$ is a big number to predict in a short period of time but from 1000$ -3100$ it is never impossible. Bitcoin always surprise us on how it's value increases in time to time. So the only thing we should is trust and have faith in Bitcoin because even it crashes for few times it will always bounce back even higher.

I won't be surprised if bitcoin price move up to 5000 dollar. After August 1 there is no reason to not hold bitcoin. Most of people who know and deal with bitcoin want to hold bitcoin. So the high demand and low supply will cause the pice to increase very much ( even more than 5000 dollar )

$5000 would be a heck of a price, i mean it is probably possible but not going to be very likely in my opinion.

Maybe if bitcoin cash fork wasn't activated, because right now the value of a bitcoin pre-fork is actually split between bitcoin cash and bitcoin. When SW gets locked in then i would think that the price of each bitcoin will rise above $3000 each, but probably not as extreme as $5000.

I'm by no means saying that it is not possible, i'm saying that it is probably not going to happen. There is a slight chance that it could happen. But we've already come a long way, and to me i don't think that we'll see any more major money pouring into bitcoin from an investment for another few years.

Of course as a bitcoin holder i would love it to happen too...

As people have invested there amount of money they have done a right job because it is increasing which can make them better off so I would like to say that these people are lucky to be a part of bitcoin as you said that people will see major change then yes they will see the major changes in which they will see the bright future because they have invested their money in a right place.

I think it will happen or it can't be happen. But that would depend in the community of bitcoin, if they want bitcoin to be like that in december for sure at the present time now many are buying and keeping their bitcoin or hold it in a long term because of this things.

The price as of today is at 2767.35$ each and the 3000$ price is nearly coming aswell as I never see any huge downfall coming to it so I think price will go up and maybe this one would provably reached for 4000$ on these upcoming months and maybe 5000$ will be achievable by the end of the year or maybe on next year ownwards.

i don't think so i think we'll gonna see some big dump on november so it will gonna take a lot of days before the bitcoin will pump again but if the segwit is 100% activated we could possibly see some $4000 by the end of this year

just have a faith on bitcoin and learn how to do trading if you want to earn a lot of income in a month.

It's possible when Bitcoin cash down fall and because of that, bitcoin become more expensive and it might reach $5000. But it's so big though, for a price of a coin. We are not even reach $3000 right now, maybe up to $4000 for this year but who knows. It is possible but i'm not sure it will reach in this year.

Bitcoin has its fluctuation of the price so you were right this is really possible. This year it might reach $5000 as after the segwit bitcoin price is still been stable and going strong. Anyway, lets watch and observe the price of bitcoin this year.
