nice to see a bitcoin fork that does pos. can someone tell what is the roi per annum for btc2? and since this is a btc fork, do we need to download the whole bitcoin blockchain in order to stake?

You can find the ROI here: https://www.bitc2.org/#roi

Yes you need to download the blockchain in order to stake, but it is only less than 1.5 GB because it was pruned.

thanks for the info, the site provided answers to my many questions. the site also gives me more information than my possible questions. so the correct procedure is to install the wallet, import address thru bitcoin private key, then stake.  staking earns 177% while masternode earns 1168%, but requires 1000 btc2.

This is my overall comparisons and review with the latest release of wallet compare to the old one, in the old one i got so many bugs and orphan minted coin, but in this release, it runs smoothly and I stake regularly.. Great job to the Dev Team!!

How many masternodes running now @jacklezz? seems the staking took to long now, is there an additional MN now? the last time I ask is, we have 4 running MN.

Staking on my side is going really well. Got me a AWS Instance, no orphans for the last 3 weeks. No probs so far.

I'm curious, the exchange in the wallet is planned for what kind of coins? Only for bitcoin or others(etherium, monero etc), too?

To be determined, but possibly others too.
Interestingly, can you tell us more about decentralized exchange? On the site, I did not see the information.

Essentially it is an anonymous exchange accessible initially only with the Bitcoin 2 Core wallets but maybe also by web wallets and third party wallets in the future. You'll be exchanging zBTC2 to BTC and vice versa. (Possibly other crypto currencies too.)
You'll be able to keep your coins safe in your own wallet instead of having to send them to some exchange in order to trade.
Sorry Dev, but zBTC2 to BTC2 is not an exchange. As I understand this is not a conversion, conversion is when I can exchange BTC2 for another coin.

Haha REALLY?Huh?

I never said zBTC2 to BTC2. Of course that's not an exchange. I said zBTC2 to BTC. Smiley

9, you can check that from your wallet. Tools - Info will display "Number of Masternodes".

hi, this seems to be an interesting bitcoin fork.  i have some inquiries:
- why choose quark algo? is quark algo asic resistant?
- is there web wallet?
- is there blockchain explorer?

this coin works with masternodes and staking nodes, no need for asics.
web wallet is in the works.

Mac wallets were just soft released for testers at Github. Please report your experience with them if you choose to try them before they have been properly tested. This version might not work on High Sierra.

A short bounty campaign for testing the Mac wallets has been created at https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bounty-bitcoin-2-mac-wallet-testing-4944837
Great news! When is the wallet for Android?

Right now the plan is to have web wallets before mobile ones at first at least. So that a mobile browser can easily make transactions without needing an app.
Here's more details about the plan.
ETA: Before Q3 ends.

@jacklezz you can check this potential exchange to list btc2 SONOX Exchange we can add btc2 right now and encourage everyone to vote.

Alright the form has now been submitted there for voting but before we start an advertising campaign, we don't yet have the thousands of community members required to succeed in such votes. Anyway we are about to be pay a listing fee to one of the exchanges in the list I posted earlier and now just waiting for them to tell the address to pay to.

Great! Anyway in the list of exchanges you are looking for listing, who is the first in your list you are planning to prioritize?

Bisq
Crex24
BiteBTC
TradeOgre
Tradesatoshi
Cryptopia?

I saw lots of negative review in biteBTC because of their fake volume..

I choose Cryptopia  Wink
I agree, Cryptopia  the best.
