Yes, but unfortunately, there will be no more additional items for sale.  All sold out, and no more 2018 coins being produced.

Are there plans for 2019 coins??

To all forum members here, especially to people following this thread:

I see that some people have taken to put "Negative Trust" on my personal profile, "bobbyclee".
I do not think that's fair, especially now that I have give straight forward answers to all of your good questions above.

If this community does not trust me and does not value my comments, insights, and posts, then I can pull back and refrain from interacting in this public forum.

However, if you DO trust me and DO value my participation, then please restore my trust, and put in some "Positive Trust" under my current personal account.  Otherwise, if my profile stays at Negative Trust, then this will be my last post.

(Yes, you're essentially voting with your actions, by choosing to ignore and not trust me, and telling others to not trust me.)

All of you can help.

By the way, if you lift my Trust Rating, I will return a favor to this community and participate in the World Crypto Conference in Las Vegas on October 31 this year, and give a very special keynote speech about Physical Bitcoins, and my own personal journey as a coin maker for BTCC Mint collectibles.  I promise to share some great insights, so hope that many of you can attend, and looking forward to meeting you all in person.

I ask for LOVE, and not HATE.   Smiley

Peace.
Bobby

Your Negative trust has been removed you can reply now.

thanks!

Thanks!  Good to be back.  I was busy traveling the last few weeks, and finally settled back at home.

Some news to share:
- BTCC's Mint store is completely sold out.
- For the 2018 One Bitcoin, the final mintage number will be 150, so V00150 is the last serial number.  (No more will be created.)
- For the 2018 One Tenth Bitcoin, the final mintage number will be 900, so W00900 is the last serial number. (Due to supply chain issues, BTCC will NOT be making the additional 1,000 coins as previously planned.)

thanks,
Bobby

Indeed, Private key management, handling and application now become important issues.
There have been numerous changes with BTCC in the recent past as we have struggled to find information that indicates that you are still part of this mix.
Do you use 3rd parties?
If so, can you describe the processes to us where the private keys are concerned. Do these people have access to exposed keys? Who applies the holos?
I know you will understand where the trepidation is coming from as you understand key security very well Smiley

regards

Viz

Hi Viz,

Thank you for the questions.  Yes, I think I do understand the complex (and important) topic of security for private keys.

To clarify: during the coin assembly process, a restricted number of long-time (and loyal) BTCC staff members have access to exposed keys. This has always been the case for coin assembly, and frankly speaking, I don't see a way to avoid it.

The key issue is that the exposed private keys are not ever recorded down for future abuse or theft.
In that sense, I can endorse the current process and give you my assurance here.

thanks,
Bobby

Hi Bobby,

Thanks for the clarification.  Smiley

I notice your FinCen license only is good for Oregon...
Are all sales within the state?
Or do you conduct business outside/across state lines?

Hi Minerjones, you can feel free to call me on the phone if you like. We are in weekly contact with FinCen. 541-488-4312.

Bitcoin and this community have really changed over the years.

There have been too many sad stories in this space of people losing their funds to unscrupulous actors.  Many examples right here in the collectables section, so now when a rogue newcomer shows up out of nowhere looking to be the custodian of 10's or 100's of thousands of USD in value we are a bit weary.
https://roguecrypto.com/2018/08/09/btcc-mint-offers-physical-bitcoins-in-the-us/ You can check his twitter account. We are friends.

I get it.  Although I would point to the treatment of those who are not unscrupulous actors (this thread being a good example) as a reason why there are are so many scams in this section.  Being honest comes with constant attacks from those who are not, and the unscrupulous actors and their alt accounts are now the majority as a result of chasing away the honest coin makers (Casascius, Lealana, now Bobby Lee).  This trend continues to get worse, and the unscrupulous actors are spreading to once respected members as well as other sections of the forum.  I only hope at some point the community stops thinking about how to make a quick buck off someone else, and starts thinking about what is the best way to take advantage of Bitcoin tech to create innovative products with genuine blockchain use cases.
Bobby is a very solid guy and genuine at heart. I trust him with anything. I read the history on the conversations and I am shocked that he was so mistreated. There is no need for such aggression.

I trust Bobby 100% plus 3.7%, I think that is the case for almost everyone here.  I think the problems stemmed from a lack of communication regarding the shipping debacle as well as a lack of clarity in the relationship/responsibilities between the parties of BTCC, BTCC Mint, Bobby Lee, and Rogue Bitcoin.  If those could be clearly spelled out at some point it would be a huge help.
https://roguecrypto.com/2018/08/09/btcc-mint-offers-physical-bitcoins-in-the-us/ You can check his twitter account as well. This is why I was shocked to hear the scammer comment from Minerjones then the MSB follow up. We have our butts covered very well with the regulatory bodies. He has also posted in this forum several times about us.

Thanks for the link.  Here is an example of what we find confusing.  i am sure it is all above board, but it is difficult to sort.

BTCC was sold to a Hong Kong entity in early 2018  https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-exchange-btcc-just-got-acquired/

Bobby confirmed here on this thread that he is no longer CEO of BTCC.

Here is an article containing a quote from Bobby June of 2018  https://cryptoslate.com/btcc-ceo-bobby-lee-investors-in-china-are-still-trading-crypto-even-after-bitcoin-ban/

"Bobby Lee, the CEO of BTCC, said at the Blockchain Open Forum that the ban on cryptocurrency"

While I assume there are reasonable explanations, and Bobby has tried to explain, an official statement from BTCC explaining the relationships between BTCC/BTCC Mint/ Bobby Lee/ Rogue Bitcoin seems obviously necessary.
The relationship between BTCC and Roguebitcoin is that we are friends and a distributor for them in the US. The original purpose of my coming on here was to answer the question about the company site. I hope I have answered your questions satisfactorily. I appreciate the feedback on the site.

I couldn't agree more.

This whole thread of uncertainty etc, could have been avoided by being more transparent - could have been a few lines from Bobby and done.

I dont believe Bobby is untrustworthy in anyway shape or form, the lack of communication led to what we see here, nothing else.

Thanks!

I don't think the community drove Mike away, it was the government's requirement of a MTB license.  That, and I think his mission was accomplished.

I agree 100% with the bold part.

Well, I hope we have at least alleviated your fear of us. Feel free to call if you have any regulatory questions regarding our compliance in commodity to commodity transactions. We seek to create an open market and do not seek to stifle competition.

You probably never will. I speculate that site is trying to fly under the radar to avoid being shut down. YMMV. People seem to be ordering and receiving coins OK.

Thanks for the feedback guys, it's under the terms of service on the checkout page. There is no flying under the radar. The site is owned by Blue Diamond Exhange LLC an Oregon Corporation you can check the registration with FinCen. It is possibly the only female-owned exchange in the nation. Thank you for this information. We will work on getting an "About Us" page up.

My apologies @Roguebitcoin. Thanks for the update.
