It's connection with btccharts.com socket server. For now it just count online users. After this weekend this should also rebroadcast data from mtgox socket. And later will be used for things like chat.
Is the rebroadcast idea to lessen the load (number of connections) on Gox?  If so, that might be a great idea.  You could advertise and push people to use your rebroadcast of socket.io and since you don't have to focus on other things like Gox does you could tune performance and keep it stable.

Is there a "reset to defaults" button somewhere? I tried refreshing, but that's not working Sad Would be a welcome addition for me, and of course the live ticker Wink Great job so far, this might completely replace Mtgoxlive soon for me!

Little update:

There was bug with not updating recent trades. Quite rare, and I'm not sure if I spotted the correct reason, but if your trades will stop updating for couple minutes then give me sign on PM so I will work on this more. Thanks to RyNinDaCleM for reporting this Smiley

New feature - auto time range while changing the price range:

Plus some performance improvements.

Recent trades in detail - this should be in next 3 weeks.

To update - open site and refresh. If this not help - clear cache.

Your chart is really improving. I like the latest features added, and the http updater makes a huge difference when none of the other orders site are working. Not real time but at least it updates.

And,+1 on the execution ticker. IMO it's the only thing missing now. I can't wait!  Smiley

Thank you for your extensive work!

Alright, I'll save it to give to you later.  I think the Goxxing API should be zhoutanged. Smiley

The one thing I'd like to see most is the recent sales. This is usually the only reason I would have mtGox Live, or clark moody open.

I don't take any donation because this service will be not free in near future (at least all features), so I will get this BTC anyway Wink

Thanks for the tip, I will think about this. Historical depth was in my near plans month ago, but then mtgox api started to freak out so I've decided to fix that problem first and I'm working on it to this day. At this weekend I was planning to add mtgox socket.io rebroadcasting (if at least one person have live data - everyone will get this), but I've got sick so I will add this in next weekend.

In next month I'm changing my job from full time to half time, so this will grow faster Smiley

Great service!  Do you have a donation address?  I had a 20 btc bank error in my favor, and I'll donate the proceeds to you.

For what it's worth, I'd love to see a slider to view the historical order book. Were I you, I'd implement this by saving the order book to a table as a set of points, one datapoint per penny, to reduce storage and data transfer requirements.  This would result in 1000 datapoints between $0.01 and $10.00, and saved every 1 minute would be 1000 points * 4 bytes (order book quantity) * 7200 minutes = 29 megabytes/day, 10 gigabytes per year.  Seems a reasonable start.  Better yet would be to store and send to client in a compressed format given the lack of data randomness. Historical charts more than, say, 24 hours in the past could be a premium service you could offer for 0.5 btc per month.  Keep it in the $2-$3 USD range, and you'll get a few dozen subscribers that might help you break even on bandwidth costs.  My 2 bitcents.

Cool. A fallback updater, that's how it's done!

Good job! Smiley

I just moved domain to new server. In next 24h you will be redirected to http://109.109.243.218/  then normal domain should work.

I added new "HTTP updater" - this will be enabled when there's no live data from MtGox. Updater will load recent changes every 50 seconds. I know 50 seconds is a lot of time Wink  but I must check first how server handle this - then it will likely lower this timeout.

Next step will be adding some kind of live data from my server.
Other exchanges will also get live data (10 sec max delay) in future.

Can you display the current number of users connected ala Mt. Gox live? A history of this would also be useful...
I don't think I can get access to this data.

Please don't use http://109.109.243.218/ for the next couple hours - there's something wrong.

I don't see the trace lines anymore.  I'm lost without those little guys.
Couple days and ghost lines will be back.

Bid/ask change on time move is in my plans, but I can't tell when you will see this.

How do I zoom out and stuff?…

Use price and time range sliders:

Looks like orderbook on current version is stable.
Bad news is that reconnecting don't work so well and I'm out of ideas on this topic
(I've enabled auto-restart, but I can't find data on how to restart manually on sicket.io)
Oooh, that's very nice! (So subtle I didn't see it Tongue)

The auto refresh seems to be working now... maybe it was my connection.  Nice work!
