Update!

Added New Intro to reflect the most recent information.

I'll be making changes throughout the week.

What is BTCD?

BitcoinDark is a decentralized cryptocurrency network with groundbreaking privacy tech made possible by the well-known developer jl777 ( Code)

What makes BTCD Unique?

BitcoinDark’s technology resolves a number of issues that have limited other attempts to create privacy solutions.

  • Teleport—Allows for the anonymous transfer of funds by cloning and exchanging standard denominations of currency.
  • Telepathy—Communications sent across the network are end-to-end encrypted and are sent and received without the sender or the recipient knowing the other’s IP address.
Why is BTCD Important?

  • Allows digital currencies for the first time to have a level of anonymity similar to fiat cash.
  • Allows other digital currencies to gain BTCD’s privacy benefits—even BTC.
  • Forms the core privacy network for SuperNET.
  • Is completely integrated with SuperNET.
  • Is the conversion coin between different currencies for SuperNET.

Why Should I Invest in BTCD?

  • SuperNET continues to grow and attract new participants and developers daily, which means more users and use cases for
  • BitcoinDark’s powerful privacy features.
  • Supply of BTCD is limited (currently ~1.2 million) and will only increase by 5% per year.
  • A 1 BTCD minimum balance is required in order to use BitcoinDark’s privacy features, which leads to a supply and demand scenario ripe for higher and stable prices.
  • By maintaining a balance of BTCD, holders are rewarded by income earned through staking
  • 5% of revenues earned through SuperNET’s decentralized exchange (InstantDex) will be used to buy and distribute BTCD as dividends.

Still debating between BTCD and UNITY

BitcoinDark: 5% BTCD staking interest + 5% SuperNET revenue

SuperNET: asset dividends + 50% SuperNET revenue

What's a good BTCD to UNITY ratio to hodl?

I would say anywhere between 25%/75% to 50%/50% BTCD/Unity. But, I'm just some guy on a forum. You should of course make up your own mind.

This is quite interesting to analyze...
With SuperNET valued at $3,000,000 and BTCD at $2,200,000.

BTCD is a serious anon play is a field of maybe 4 competitors...
While the killer app wildcard with SuperNET is Pangea Poker.

It's actually shocking to me as 2015 dawns there is no legit decentralized poker platform...
Probably because people keep trying to shoehorn the "traditional model" into p2p...
Where you pick a table to sit at... and play against specific opponents (collusion makes this impossible).

Except for head-to-head you have to throw out the "traditional model"...
And craft a new model along the lines of rush poker or MTTs or something new entirely  Smiley

I don't think people are quite yet grasping the significance of BTCD for SuperNET.  For example, you just stated that Pangea will be a killer app for superNET.  This is true, but what really makes it even more killer is the privacy that BTCD brings to the SuperNET apps.  If i lived in the US i can now play poker online again and keep any earnings I make from playing private.

So the question is how many Pangea players and sports betters will be using BTCD?  I would venture to guess most if not all.

Very nice propaganda speech, dear lead coinunimist. We all hope and pray this will happen  Wink

The latest shift for the BitcoinDark multipool paid out over 139 BTCD to miners on all three algos!

We need to have some more mining support over here at this pool. It's slowly picking up a little though. Prices are starting to climb so this is a good reason to point more hash at the pool. These prices won't last for much longer as BTCD and SuperNET are nearing their v1 release.

Cheers!

BTCD on the MGW is under maintenance right now, while the team work on improvements, so you might have to wait longer than normal.

Well hello there!
December 07, 2014, 02:34:40 AM
I have 635 BTCD for sale for 0.0064. PM me Smiley
Kind of curious as to why your offering them at such a premium over market price?

looking at the orderbooks i think its quite a good deal for someone who wants to buy now  Wink

@mr.joker

i dont think there would be a problem to do the trade with an escrow?
Yeah, now that I look at the orderbooks a bit more closely and see just how much somebody purchasing that quantity of bitcoindark (especially if not spread across multiple exchanges) would push the price up significantly higher than that.  Maybe it's not such a bad deal after all Smiley

*Now if I only had 4.75BTC lying around somewhere Wink
