What's up with shortBTCD? Should be around 80 now, not 120
since BTCD went up, shortBTCD went down

What is a shortBTCD?

A NXT asset with daily percentage gain/loss inverse to that of BTCD/BTC.

Details here.

Bid/ask is 80/82.  Where are you seeing 120?

Just a stupid question  Grin
How do I set a password to lock the windows wallet?
Settings / Encrypt wallet
or File / Sign message ?

Settings / Encrypt wallet

thanks!!!

Something I've been meaning to ask: it has been said that this password should be 'strong' (as, of course, should all passwords, as you already know).
Does that mean 'strong' as in typical password strong, 8 random alphanumeric characters, or 'Strong' as in NXT passphrase 35 random characters?

12 or more random characters including symbols should be plenty strong enough. If you are using dictionary words you need a much longer password to get the same level of entropy.

Is there a potential teleport/supernetwork coin list around? Might be good to make a thread where we can post possible coins to add?
Was thinking paypro might be a good fit. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pro-payprocoin-643028

ha ha ha
Paypro is One of the biggest scaming in Crypto's world. How can you recommend any garbage for entering the SuperNET. Huh Angry

this is SuperNET , this isn't SuperSitNET.

I don't just think PayPro is just a normal crypto scam.  Look at the amount of personal information they are asking for the PayPro debit card.  https://www.payprocoin.com/visa/apply.php

All they need to do now is ask for credit card payments for shipping the card and they will have fullz on everyone that applies.

Exactly, they will combine the provided details by the unsuspecting buyer with their payment details. If the buyer pays with credit card or PayPal he will get scammed bigtime.

Yup..you have a valid point. Took me a bit to catch up on their thread, this is why I have been ignoring the alt space of late. Best I go back to lurking. Thanks for the insight. I apologize for taking us off-topic.

Build from source for Linux.

yeah, just build that, but I don't think there is a GUI if that's what you are expecting... but maybe I'm wrong.

Everybody is hodling for what lies ahead.  Cool

But not buying? If only to take advantage of the 5% discount?
Curious.

The Supernet shares are not available yet, expect an increase in BTCD demand the minute it goed live on Poloniex.

So why not buy at current prices and frontrun the demand?

NXT volume has increased, probably because of it's relative stability.

I'm surprised BTCD hasn't naturally dipped a bit which would be understandable after the rise. Maybe James has developed a magic tradebot.
nope
I am not actively trading BTCD

I think the stability is the balance between the people accumulating it and the lack of any big sellers.
After the big rise, whale games, it is natural for it to get tired
Remember that 2 week flag pattern we had?
this sideways move is needed to build the base to make the next step
I would not be surprise if BTCD ends up in the top 10 from the SuperNET effect in September and if I can ever get some time to debug Teleport, then in the middle of the September there is the Teleport coming out with fancy GUI

Oh, I solved a SuperNET scaling issue so now we are not limited to "only" 100,000 nodes in SuperNET. Basically it can get as big as the sum of the coins users are.

James

cause of Price stability is the lack of big sellers . With the purchase of about 100 BTC The prices goes up to 0.1 BTC and higher. for this reason, before launching Teleport and SuperNET, there is no logical reason for such price increases . Cheesy Wink

Very professional: really like it! Good work.

figured a little teaser of @figrolls ui wouldnt hurt Wink

Also great job on the GUI teaser...as an avid NXT and AE user, I really like seeing "powered by NXT"!

Hope everyone is reading the SuperNet IPO thread.  I implore you to do so, if not already.  SuperNet will unite and make possible an even larger community; it only makes sense to begin acquainting ourselves with this community.  Exciting times ahead, indeed Grin......

I suggest folks stop dealing with Cryptsy.
For the past two weeks there has been a lot of issues there
and I do get the feeling they are more than technical issues.
Ive managed to get everything out of there.

I halted my dealings with Crapsy a couple weeks ago, due to shitty btc withdrawal/deposit times Angry.  I wasn't having near the issue you guys are having with btcd though.  With what I've read here, I don't see how anyone could still be using them.  Patience is a virtue, I guess......

Peace Smiley
