Been helping out other devs and we have seen an early GUI release from longzai, also I am about get a new release of the core that is all ready for me to interface to and I have most of the debugging portion of the accounting coded up. I "hired" an expert on PoS algo (he found flaw in PPC) to make sure BTCD algo is fine. He didnt ask for any money, but I will gladly pay for expert help. Already jimmy2011 suggested an improvement which we have put into the test version.
InstantDEX GUI is also making some progress and even helping some new coins deciding to plug into the supernetwork

So, now that my "day" is done, time to get some serious coding done. Good thing I have a 16 hour workday Smiley

James

Any way we can get the heads up on which coins will be joining the network? I expect those coins to get a bump if they do.
yes I think people on this thread will find out about such coins
I will just make a post with the coin's symbol without any other text to indicate I think it is likely they will be joining the supernetwork
I wont answer any questions about what it means and nobody else should. So only regulars who read all posts will know the "code"

After a day of thinking I jumped back in.
Can't imagine what the price will be when Teleport is implemented.

In XMR I'm expecting a slow rise with bumps.  No significant month-end dumping this time, unless there's a delusional panic of some sort.  I can barely even formulate this expectation, let alone articulate a justification for it.  If pressed, I would say:  Not enough monero on offer to stay below 0040, but too much disaster going on in cryptoland for a proper bull stampede.  BTSX is an absolute catastrophe for crypto generally, on the scale of Mt. Gox.  Other price leaders are pretty awful too.  DRK is destroying a lot of wealth.  Naive DRK holders who don't understand the distinction between DRK and XMR at a technical level just feel robbed.  BTCD could do a lot of damage to crypto as well.  This PoS blackcoin clone's market cap passed XMR today.  It could be several days before it collapses into obscurity.  Until it tops out, the dumpers won't be rolling their ill-gotten gains into XMR yet, so no choo-choo.

Looks like some of the monero people are scared now. I hope jl777 rips him a new one!

You have read how BTC could oneday be worth $5000?
Well, ever wonder how on earth that was going to happen?

Think about it.

OK, I hope you see the answer

James

How?
I have seen such figures bandied around for possible future BTC price.
Im a noob so really dont know.

Depends what state the world's fiat currencies are in. BTC could be US100k a coin but that 100k could be worth a lot less than it is today.

In a few years time, the most important ratio might be BTC/GOLD. Was around 1:1 last Nov.

Anyway, hypothetically speaking, if BTCD settles at $50 or 0.1 BTC over the next few months, then with BTC at $5000 , BTCD will be $500. Nice.

Just been thinking that pow coins are all in decline, BTCD on the rise which will make mining to earn coins then trade for BTCD very costly in electricity

I've seen my returns drop to 30% in a week.....ITS TIME TO HODL FOLKS

I love swimming with the whales even if I'm only a minnow, but I won't touch my BTCD wallet to do it

The most aggressive shakeout yet this is a good sign
indeed

Noob Q again.
What does this terminology mean? ie shakeout?
Shaking out what?

The weak hands.

They will panic sell.

You need people that will HODL their BTCD stack, not people that sell when someone is dumping.

AH yes, I understand. Im a holder...and buyer

By the way, if you really want to get into or out of a position while we're on overnight hiatus, just submit a bid/ask on the asset exchange and if we see it (and if it's at the right price), we'll fill it.  Even better, message me when you do so - better chance we'll see it promptly.

For reference, with BTCD/BTC at 0.0100, we'd fill bids at 98 or higher.

Quick update on ShortBTCD, as opening day draws to a close.  35,450 NXT-worth were traded.  The target price swung as low as 80 and as high as 110, with around 50 price adjustments over 10.5 hours.  The target price is currently 105.6, based on BTCD/BTC at 0.009235.  As such, the bid/ask is now 105/106.

We're about to close up shop for the evening - to reopen in about 12 hours.  If anyone wants to get in or out of a position at current levels, now's the time.
So if somebody bought shortBTCD this morning, they would have a 6% profit right now
and if they were lucky enough to buy at 80, more than 30% profit?
All this while BTCD went down

Yep.

we need to break 0.008, I want all the weak hands gone
I think enough weak hands have been selling between 0.01 and 0.085 over the last 36 hours.  my guess is bottom's of these waves will gradually increase in price.  900k looks like a reasonable support level.  We already saw a WH whale on cryptsy dump it below 0.085 (which I missed dammit!) and we're already above 900k again.  My guess is that we will sideways around 900-950k for a few hours while the books fill, and then we'll bounce off back to 1100k again.  I hate manipulators, I really do.
oh i didnt notice how low cryptsy went
Yeah I think it was one dump from around 900k to just over 800k.  That was weird to dump like that.  shame i had just used all of my BTC buying at 900!

Uh..isn't JL777 pretty close to releasing some of his masterpiece?
Why would anyone sell now?
profit, if you watched market all day, tons of bots are active, they drive price down someone accumulate then they put price back up someone sell and over and over again. Easy trick to get rich if you have enough BTC or BTCD to work
