can someone cut and paste sections of the DarkPaper and post them in sequence here?
If you open up half a dozen windows and prepare each one (make sure doesnt exceed size limit)
then you can post one after the other and make sure they are all consecutive
I want to make sure the text of DarkPaper is accessible even if my server is taken offline

Your ability to draw people in is quite amazing James.  You have a way with putting folks at ease; it's unbelievably mesmerizing.  What makes it so special is the fact that it's all genuine.  You don't have to be here everyday, answering nearly every question or giving us super detailed explanations of exactly what you've done and what you're doing.  But you do..... and you enjoy doing it.  It's a symbiotic relationship you share with all of us.

These last few weeks, really since about the time you came on board, have been amazing. You, this thread and the community have truly made my life easier.  That may sound silly, but it's true.  It's obvious that there is something really special here, I can feel it.  Each day there are new individuals here, who now share in this excitement.  The numbers are really growing; it's infectious!  HODL!!!!

Keep up the great work James and I'm sure the community will continue to give back.

Peace!

Other devs have created coin after coin with little to no utility for the purposes of getting practice at coding, feeding their greed or sheer ignorance of the futility of their efforts. Somehow you immediately stand out as different. Your mind seems to naturally assemble the very best elements from this community and to craft novel ones to fill the gaps to create a product with a single stroke that addresses the nearly each and every need in the crypto community.
Every type from devs, traders, investors, outlaws, philosophers, anarchists, and those that just want privacy and security when it comes to their transacting with the world need exactly what you've brought to the table. And the bit that amazes me most is that you seem to be able to address every angle each type brings to the discussion at their own level! Keep that mind of yours polished and ready to be admired by the likes of myself and others, James. I'm quite sure it'll eventually be the world over that profits from the fruits of your efforts.
At heart I am just a simple C programmer, that works really hard. I have met some guys that are REALLY smart, so I realized I have to compensate by just working more than they do in order to have a chance.

After spending 100+ hours per week in crypto since last Nov and coding since end of Feb, even a non-genius like me can eventually come up with decent solutions. I am smart, but not quite genius level. https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/price-speculation/msg40523/#msg40523 that has my story in crypto as of two months ago. While I was relatively poor earlier this year, I made decent fortune in NXT and so now money is not a worry and I work primarily to make crypto something not so dangerous to use.

As it is, crypto is presented as a replacement for cash, but it is cash that can be used to show your every transaction! The govt's are deanonymizing the BTC blockchain and making database of BTC address to social security number. As USA gets more and more desperate for funds (they are already technically insolvent), the natural thing is to start confiscating. Of course, they will make laws that are impossible to actually follow (easy to do, make law A and also law B that contradicts A, you either violate A or B) and then use that to leverage you into paying a "fine"

At first I was totally lost in crypto, I knew I was a good coder, but the concepts were quite foreign. So it did take me a while, but I believe I am now close to full speed. This loss of cash is the greatest threat faced by humanity, well, ever. Once all finances are able to be monitored, then all freedoms are totally at the discretion of the powers that be. It is horrifying to me that crypto that has the power to free the people is being used in a plan to enslave them!

It turns out crypto all along had the ability to be used as cash. I just was lucky enough to discover this treasure:

http://209.126.70.170/DarkPaper.doc

There it is, there are no pretty pics yet, but this recent speculative runup is making BTCD some sort of tool for short sighted pump and dumpers and I dont want that for BTCD. Also, based on recent price action, my guess is that the people who have seen the DarkPaper are having some unfair advantage, so I want to level the playing field. I did just get the finalized text from Cassius the other day, but things happen so fast! I was waiting for the graphic illustrations, but when BTCD is #3 in volume I want everybody to have the same info to make their decisions.

I will now finish coding the Teleport, so maybe wont surface for a while. Dont worry if you dont hear from me. Read the DarkPaper. Make your own conclusions and stick to them. You can try to day trade, but this is a dangerous game. HODL is the safest and I believe nearly guaranteed way for good results with BTCD. Remember the BTCD stakers will be the ones getting the InstantDEX and NXTprivacy dividends

Getting "Trust Verified" should be a good thing for our coin, no?

http://www.coinssource.com/trust-index/

(I don't know how to do this)

I don't trust "third party authority", it just doesn't prove anything if the actual coin should succeed.. I rather trust track records and transparency which both are superior in this coin.

All the features that james has done for Nxt and the rumbling about the new code for btcd has earned my trust. Also he had to invest in this coin like everyone else so there is a good incentive to continue developing. Smiley

I'm just using the Windows BitcoinDark-qt. I could really do with more information about stuff like backing up/restoring wallets, using keys, etc. Is that information in this long thread or elsewhere - I haven't been able to find it.
