I wouldn't endorse using a 6pin pcie to 2x 4pin molex splitter, but it probably would be fine if both molex adapters were coming from a separate cable. I used to power ASICMiner Blades at 70 watts on a single 4 pin molex adapter. In madsusies case, he's using 2 molex adapters on the same cable. It's no different than taking that one line going to the PSU and plugging it directly into one of the green connectors. You are powering each blade with 1/3 of the recommended current medium.

A 3x 4pin molex to 6pin PCIe adapter would be optimal, but I'm not sure if they make those. At that point you might as well just get a PSU that supports 6 pin pcie.

Mise en garde
Attention toutefois :

Warning
Attention however:
The use of these adapters is disadvised and supposes that the supply is good quality and especially of a sufficient power to be able to feed a graphics board of last generation. Nothing is worth a supply conceived from the beginning for it and endowed at the origin of the adequate connectors. In case of doubt, the exchange is preferable, because the risks incurred with a poor quality supply and which clicks are not neutral. It is true that they can entrainer irreparable damage in the computer and in its components, as well as fire risk in the gravest cases.

CrazyGuy - Yes, I used 4 molex adapter and 2 molex branches .

jimmothy - Besause my i-tec Ultimate Gamer 900W Advance PSU, stops immediately after few second on PCI-e (do not know why, but the same thing happened when I plug the PCI-e in KNC board), I do not understand what's the matter Sad

I can't tell for sure from your first pic, but it looks like the molex adapters are split from a single small gauge 12v line going to your PSU. If that's the case, it's not going to cut it. You may be able to get away with using 2 seperate molex connectors, but not with that PSU.

What gauge are you using on those molex adapters? Are you powering a single blade off of 1 12v line being split into multiple molex adapters?

Each blade is going to draw around 110 watts so I don't think 1x12v on a 4 pin adapter would do it. 6 pin pcie is going to have 3x12v lines, so best to find a 18 AWG 6 pin, or use 3x 18 AWG 4 pin molex adapters, not split from 1 line.

Why are you using molex instead of pci-e?

I beleive molex is rated to around 100W max but you need about 150w to power each blade.

Asicminer failed hard this time. There first Gen products were shit too, they only sold because there was nothing else available.

my point entirely, my office room still has the smell of burned wallpaper.

i'm serious, those molex plugs heat up to melting point.

That's not true.
We have used these plugs for 6 months at our mining room and have no accident.

molex branch, 1 hour after start
I got no words, I did last check before sleep and realize the molex plugs are really hot, I don't want think about consequences  Huh Tongue

Anyone tried to set-up solo mining with one of these?

It may be 'fun' to get one and play the lottery.

Pretty quiet in here, I hope this means you just plug these in and they work great..

That's been my experience.

Zero downtime in ~2 weeks.

Stable hashrate at ~305 gh/s avg (pool reported).

Awesome news. Have two on the way (one is a substitute for a black arrow order)
Pending ups ballyhoo- they should be here tomorrow. Can't wait.

I think DHL guy,who you have used is under performance, please change the person.
I like DHL, fast shipment, trackable,(seometimes lower import taxes).
But the most fastest courier I have used is FEDEX  Tongue

Your package arrive my destination today. When compare to other suppliers (R..).
Still in customs and will start shipping to my address tomorrow (ofcourse with more importing taxes  Embarrassed)

So, After many email comfirmation about buying and paying, also manytimes for tracking number.
BTCgarden keep their promise. I recommed this manufacturer if you want something other than antminer or rockminer.
(If you can afford the shipping price in your area).

N

Glad to hear you will receive miners soon. Thank you for your patient. We will look for some better shipping agent to speed up shipping and lower cost.

Have two of these on the way from minersource. Looking forward to setting them up.

Is it a custom build of CGminer you guys are using? What are the command line parameters?

I have your RPI image running already (like I said, I'm looking forward to setting these up :-P ) but I really like the Minepeon distro for management. I've customized it before with the R-Box miner and I'd love to customize it for this miner.

We promise ship out your miners as soon as confirm payment received. No worries. Tracking number comes late, but wouldn't delay your package.

Same here, once they get these items resolved, they will become a good, reputable company.
I don't mean for this to be a negative statement, but rather a push in the right direction for BTC Garden.
