#2 GOSU UPDATE

Yeah, time flies and another week has passed, so let me get straight to my second GOSU Update! =)

I feel giving such an update is helping me for added motivation plus I appreciate feedback from you guys.

GOSU STATUS:

The site is still very young but I am adding more and more (hopefully interesting content) each and every day. The counter right now shows 154 pages of unique content. Smiley I have now added reviews of all sites I wanted to write about (42 casinos/poker rooms/sportsbooks)! Also, all main navigation pages are now complete.

The mini signature campaign I launched is still going even though I still have some changes in mind - not 100% decided on how I will go on with regards to signature campaign on bitcointalk.

The social media profiles are now live and I have started (slowly) publishing some of my posts on there.

GOSU NEXT STEPS:

Still on my to-do: Proof-reading / editing of all content pages.

Another to-do, very important, is still to start adding game reviews of all the typical bitcoin/crypto games.

As most of you may know, my casino rankings are 100% based on user ratings - right now I am afraid (and pretty sure) that most visitors wouldn't even know that they can rate an operator (and how to do this). I need to make this more prominent and easier - right now thinking about adding rating option at the bottom of the reviews where visitors can now leave feedback so we have two options, at the top as well as at the bottom.

I really need to start posting more promotions and guides in the blog.

Also, I have started thinking about implementing a newsletter signup - is anyone here still signing up for newsletters?

One thing I would like to ask of you - that is if you can find some time for it: I will highly appreciate if you can share some feedback on the respective review pages (and even more important) leave a rating - BTCGOSU is still very young and the reviews naturally haven't many ratings yet, so it would be cool if you guys shared your opinions. Smiley

This is it, for now, as always, feel free to share your feedback.

Have a nice weekend everybody, it's almost here!

Good luck Efialtis with your new platform! What I've seen so far is that you also handeled the SWC Poker Challenge very nicely.

What I'm missing on your site is an overview about the average casino rake. Maybe you could consider to add this information?

Thanks for the kind words! Smiley

Yeah - that's definitely a to do - when starting out writing the first reviews, I also added table with house edge per game etc. but stopped at one point - mainly because the bigger sites have so many games that it's hard - still a nice point and I will work on this!

I will try my best to create an extensive guide featuring all important aspects - I may even go for several posts instead of one super long post, will see.

Are you going to review them based on the provider of those slots? there are alot sites that uses 3rd party provider nowadays, even Stake

Incase you need this page to find the odds for those slots https://bitcasino.io/live-rtp

I'm sure that makes sense, yes. I personally can't manage to read long blog posts in a row without something else distracting me (e.g. bitcointalk Wink ). So I find shorter blog posts that link to each other much more pleasant to read, especially if you split them up thematically.

The thing about short post is that it may seems that the writer is not giving extra dedication onto that guide/ review post therefore some people that love to read such review will probably neglecting those post

Kinda like a double sided sword, long post might bored some reader so yeah you need that borderline between those two but so far Efialtis is doing good with the other game's guide in btcgosu

How a post is written matter the most. If the guide is written with proper heading, bullet points and in a way which creates interest for a the reader, then even reading a longer guide is not much of a hassle.  The guide should be comprehensive regardless of the size of it.

Hey @efialtis, do you have a post about slots volatility?

I'm new to this slots world and I'm trying to figure out what kind of slots is best to play.. The little I know is that I can spin a high volatility slot several times without a win, trying to hit a big prize, but is it worth the risk? Or can I make some money, spin by spin, in the low volatility ones? Is it just a bankroll question?

Hey,

give me a few days and I will link here to a fresh slots guide type of article - i am currently working on exactly this. Smiley

This will be hard task for you efialtis because there are so many slot games out there.
Indeed there are some slot review sites already that you can use as references but I do believe you are going to provide your own version.
I'm not quite sure what slots guide you are working on at the moment, hopefully it will be something different and simple to understand especially for newbies who want to try slot games.

Yeah there are lots of slots out there but you can differentiate them directly basing of on categories neither high RTP's or lower ones.
Actually its just a matter of choice or preference when it comes on how you do like to get wins neither on gradual base or hooking for one spot on.
When it comes to the upcoming review of Btcgosu then i do want to see on how this one would be explained in detail not just like into those
other review sites.

My coding skills are rather limited so I will really have to see BUT this is definitely something I want to add - along with several other "comparison pages" - so if you have any more ideas as to interesting comparisons for crypto players, please shoot. Wink
Great, should you have any problems you can of course always contact me via PM. We might find a solution together Wink

In general it is a very good idea to include more "comparison possibilities" of the individual sites. Another category would be, for example, whether a casino allows a player to invest in the bankroll and earn interests based of his/her investment. I know such a system from e.g. Bustadice, but I think that other platforms like freebitco.in offer a similar system.

thanks for your feedback - that is a very good idea and definitely something I will be looking into - just need to think about how to best implement such page/info. Smiley
Splendid, would be very nice to have that feature at btcgosu.com, too.

I think dicesites.com simply crawls the statistic pages of the individual casinos periodically and creates the information from this, how many BTCs were set etc. At Bustadice.com this would be e.g. via www.bustadice.com/statistics, at the example of Windice you can find this data here: https://windice.io/stats/wagered/day/btc

One is of course dependent on whether a casino makes the information publicly available at all or not. With a corresponding range of btcgosu.com this should not be a problem in the near future, the casinos will be happy to provide you with the data just to be listed at all Grin

Hey,

thanks for the kind words! Grin I gotta agree with what you wrote in the end of course! Grin

Seriously though - I am definitely going to look into this - hopefully I will get to it some time next week and see what/how I can do that. Looking at the GOSU and especially the person behind it I can say if all this continue like this then GOSU surely gonna give a tough competetion to askgamblers.

My suggestion: Be as vocal as you are today, you may miss the botted hype but surely in future real organic people will follow you and your work.

Thank you so much for that feedback - made me smile, made my day! Smiley

"Competing" with AskGamblers, oh well, I really don't think so but... it's also not my goal. I have been in the industry for more than 15k years now and I have known them since forever - pretty impressive how they developed.

If I can become you guys's #1 source for crypto gambling related stuff, I will be more than just happy. Smiley

#1 GOSU UPDATE

Hey everybody, time for my first ever GOSU Update! =)

Going forward, starting from now, I would like to regularly give a quick update on everything GOSU going on - recent developments, upcoming stuff, etc.

Let me begin by saying that I am pretty happy with the progress I am making - actually, I just reached the first milestone which was creating 100 pages of unique and helpful content.

Recently, I launched a mini signature campaign here on bitcointalk and we are currently in the middle of the second week. To be honest, I am not really sure how exactly I will continue when it comes to signature campaigns - it's of course an honor watching people wear a signature promoting your brand but when speaking about a business (especially when you are a little one man show), you really have to take many things into consideration - even more so when you are still in the beginning.

Additionally, I launched a "forums campaign" with the goal of having BTCGOSU introduced on other crypto forums as well - this was pretty good and is still active if anyone is interested.

GOSU STATUS:

I will shortly get to the point where I feel that the "base" of the site is finished so I can focus more on optimizing things, market the site etc. Right now I am missing just a few more casino reviews as well as 4-5 game pages, so that I am confident to be done with these by the middle of next week (hopefully).

GOSU NEXT STEPS:

All of the content pages still need some more proof-reading / editing, which is why I will go over each and every piece of content as soon as I am done with creating the rest of the pages I mentioned earlier.

One of my bigger to do's is to start creating game reviews of all the typical bitcoin/crypto games - what I mean here is providing specific reviews/descriptions of all the popular bitcoin games, for example crypto.games dice, wolf.bet dice, wolf.bet hi lo, bitsler crash, stake limbo etc. I have to admit that this is going to be pretty hard because of the fact that personally, I am not the biggest fan of dice games, plinko and such - the mission still is to provide the best and honest content from a player perspective though... phew, well, let's see. Oh, if you love such games and feel you would like to help with that, please hit me up! Wink

In the same time, I will soon start to create 2-3 blog posts featuring industry news, current promotions as well as guides each and every day.

I think this is it for now - feel free to share your feedback, it's always appreciated. And you are also more than welcome to rate the various operators on the site, leave comments sharing your experiences etc.

Thanks everybody, good luck with your bets and have a nice rest of the weekend!

Hey arallmuus,

thank you very much for the feedback and it's exactly as you say: I don't generally think they are bad and I appreciate what they are doing for the community - still, I expect people to reflect and not just approve each and every action because they have been so good for us by providing lots of great promotions etc. To be honest - I am quite shocked to see so many (even very established members) supporting such action but in the end I guess, they aren't real players themselves and haven't experienced often enough how lame "real players" are sometimes being treated by gambling operators.

Everyone got their own opinion and stand regarding that matters so I dont really mind how they see this issue but for some reason Im still giving sportsbet benefit of doubt and I still wager on their site though . This of course is just my personal opinion regarding this matter and I dont force anyone to follow my opinion on this

That being said - while having them deactivated from my site and clearly taking position in this case, I am still using them myself (means something I guess...).

If you play on the site as 'efialtis' then it doesnt matter Everyone has their own preference but as part of BTCGOSU then you should remain neutral and show no preference at all

the social media accounts are now set up (and will soon be managed actively of course)! And what can I say - check out OP everybody, links can be found at the bottom and jayce's work is impressive... more than that!

I checked and it is now working fine and connected to all social media account. I hope you have a solid team to maintain all that account and provide content, it will be tough to do everything on your own  Cheesy Best of Luck though

The site is still work in progress (will always be anyways)

Great site and congratulations on finally launching your site . I remembered that you told us in one of the season 2 bitcointalk poker games about the site that you are going to launch and you launched it finally

more reviews to be added, the content in general is being corrected (no native speaker here), improved, more information and insights being added etc. etc. but we are getting there. Smiley

I check on the games section and notice that some of the mentioned bitcoin games such as HI LO , Minesweeper and such still has no link to it unlike the others. Also I kinda notice that on the bottom right of the page when you click on the social media image, it wont link to any of the btcgosu social media (yet) . Long way to go but you are doing a great job establishing this  Smiley

Overall Great site and it really shows your determination !

Regarding being frank in reviews: I feel this is the right thing to do.

Love the way you handle this stuff, the forum has enough of biased review site already. It is the right thing to do especially when you positioned yourself as part of BTCGOSU, you need to take neutral stand on all matters despite that you have been wagering alot in the respective site.  Smiley.

Removing sportsbet.io and bitcasino.io doesnt mean those sites are scammers by all means but it just means it is not that trustworthy 'for now' compared with other site due to some issue. Also it doesnt hurt the site in any way possible, everyone are still welcome to play on those site on their own risk

I still bet on that site and the risk is on me if any sketchy things happen in the future

Last but not least - I really don't and won't become game-protect 2.0 lol but I made a promise when launching BTCGOSU: I want to become the most trusted bitcoin casino guide...
