I've been in BtcPop since 2017 and had nearly no problem. The communication was a bit slow, but it did existed so i cant really blame them for something.

I stand with BTCPOP.co as they are great P2P lending site and they help whenever I have issues. Do not post false accusations about them without solid proof.  These accusations coming from newbie bitcoin talk accounts is no surprise that your behind them.  I have invested and took out loans on this site without any issues.

I will post proof no problem Smiley coming very soon
3 days and no proof, seems like your cooking up something.

This site is biast, to produce evidence of this is almost impossible. What would be my proof.  Oh, maybe the fact that I can't login to my account. My IP is blocked and when I use a  vpn after i confirm the email Im redirected to google. So the proof is in the locked account that I have no access to.  Now what. Jerk.

I'm an old Pop customer, never had any problem on site for years, normally if you are redirect to google is because you have been banned from the site for breaking one or more rules, that are present on site, and normally the owner give you some warning before doing that.

Cheers

Cashback 15%
And despite all of these scam accusations, this exchange is still in business (as far as I know).  Amazing.  I used them one time to buy Curecoin if I'm not mistaken, and though I didn't get scammed I was very unsatisfied with the price I got (which wasn't their fault).  I never used BTCPop again.  Looking back, I think I'm lucky they didn't scam me outright.

Did this thread need to be bumped, by the way?  yhanger01 isn't adding to the scam claims here, just relating an experience he had from who knows when.  Did that happen recently, yhanger01?

Yeah they got me too, I deposited just a very small amount, But when I was ready to withdraw they gave me a run around about secruity.
This has been the trend for a long time with this scam websites, they always make some sort of reason why they can't help you, this is what 1xbit does so I am not surprised that other scam websites do the same thing since it's effective.

At first everything was going great.  I wanted to create a little social experiment. Nothing crazy.  All I did was request a loan, but I was totally honest about what I was going to do with the loan.
I put up 100% collateral. Meaning, Very little Risk for the lenders.
In the loan I said that I was going to gamble this loan at an online casino.
Not much longer the old man Casimer puts his 2 cents in and says "I would never loan to anyone that gambled".

Which doesn't make sense. Anyone who puts up the money on this loan is protected by my 100% collateral. The Collateral I used was Dogecoin and LiteCoin. Two very good currencies to use at the time.

Needless to say my loan was funded. But I decided to payback the loan the very next day.

During this time I have also invested in many other people that use this website. I had invested easily over 1k in cryptocurrency. I was active and I always paid my debts.

For some reason Casimere (the owner of the site) has my account banned. I have 24 hours to remove my cryptocurrency.

They allow me to remove everything in my wallets except my bitcoin. It had to be approved.

They also didn’t allow me to get any of the cryptocurrency that I had invested in either. They stole all of my invested bitcoin and also the bitcoin in my wallet.

This was the second time they have done this to me.

The first time I felt I had a lot to do with why I was banned. I was talking crap to stupid people on the site. So i thought ok, of course i'm going to be banned.

But I liked the website and really wanted to see if I could make some money with investing.

This time I didn’t talk crap to anyone. I was very careful not to make this mistake, and I still had gotten banned.

BTCPOP is robbing people. Not everyone, but a lot of people have gotten banned just like me and this thieves are to blame.

I've done everything site told me to do. So I go to withdraw and my phrase that I wrote down was wrong phrase? I got to support and they
tell me this and i do that, Then it's do that and its back to this.
You go to chat and there's a bunch of goof balls laughing at you instead of trying to help. Whole site is like a Mickey Mouse show.
And makes no sense.
BTCpop is a SCAM so be careful my friends.

You lost access to your account, and support was helping you to get access back to your account.

You never replied back with the code that was sent via sms to you.
Even with your acting like a 10y old child our support was trying to help you.

Your Support tickets was all like your first one:
"How can I activate my account? you never send me nothing to my email address? well I don't really need this account anyway, so fuck yall"

btcpop is not out to fleece people.
The new owner took it over to fix all the problems and keep everything running.
there is a transitional issues with verifications, as ardeva is owned by the old owner. lee.
however verifications are now again active via another service.

So you mean there was a change in ownership of btcpop.co? Which is the other service doing the verification?

Verification is done internal and default rate decreased a lot since I own btcpop.
Seems that Lee nearly accepted everything via Ardeva just to generate fees.
I think Btcpop is also the only lending site what uses forensic tools to check the submitted documents.

@ Daneric

I don't have any skin in this game, but I think you're wasting your time addressing Lee as it seems quite clear that the owner of Btcpop is now Holger Gundlach who, according to the quote in my post, isn't a fan of Mr. Bartholomew and doesn't appear to be on this forum.

Thanks buddy, I had no idea. looks like btcpop.co is out to fleece people. we gotta be careful

Mags,

We replied to your ticket within a day and was awaiting a response from you.

We never have 500+ tickets a day, that is a crazy figure.

If you want to reply to our message back to you, we can rectify your account.

Hello Lee,

I like your responses on this thread and would appreciate if you can start a thread dedicated to btcpop.co. This will make it pretty easier for you to communicate with users about issues affecting btcpop.co

In particular, I m concerned about the ardeva verification. I would like you to address this issue here. When I joined btcpop over a year ago, I was able to borrow your instant loans and paid back successfully. You later made changes and verification was through ardeva. I verified successfully but few months down the line, I had to re-verify myself again. I don't know what happened to my account. Right now, I have a pending verification for my address which has been pending for close to two months. Your site indicates that ardeva is under maintenance - how long will the maintenance take place?

Does it mean that you are no longer allowing people to borrow - thus blocking verification. I will appreciate if you can address this issue.

Lee Bartholomew as you're not responding to anything i have decided to go public.
Lee Bartholomew decided to scam a lot people for a lot money.
I bought btcpop of him, he hided numbers and even created fake accounts with balances created in the database what he attempted to withdrawal after me owning btcpop.
He borrowed a lot of money in bitcoins and got lot of money from IPO's
I still get daily emails about unpaid bills, late reminders, from collections agencies addressed to him.
Be careful with doing any kind of business with that person.

Finally received my coins last night, after two weeks and nearly zero communication. I really wanted to use this site and trust it, unfortunately it is just too risky.

Unfortunatelly, you probably started using the site in a bad period, in the last two months, yes, there were some issues, the fact that the site (started a long time ago, i'm an user by more than one year), had a big grow in popularity and in less than an year passed from some thousand users, to 20k users, revealed some problems of stabilty and scalabilty, the CEO (Lee Bartolomew) made a great job, but, in my opinion, too much project growing so fast, drained his time, now we have a new CEO, well known in the pop community as it is an old member of the site and one of the major investor there, today the site is migrated to new servers, and there are clear signs that the site is evolving and growing, as it had done in the past, the site is full of functionality and, yes not all is working right, but if you live the community that is on the site, you can see that the efforts to make every day better, is "touchable", is not a scam site, is in develop and every site that is developing so faster, as happened to pop, obviously has some bugs.

I had ticket for problems, and all, in some days, or max in a week were resolved.

The lack of communications from support in the last two weeks all depends to the fact that was started a transition, from a CEO to another, and this probably slowed a bit some things.

Hope you will reconsider your opinion about this site.

Cheers

June 12, 2016 (PST) - Withdraw request
June 13, 2016 - Emailed Chad in Support
June 13, 2016 - Chad got back to me saying if I input my credentials correctly transfer imminent.
June 14, 2016 - Emailed Chad again, still haven't received coins.
June 14, 2016 - Chad escalates to "transaction review"
June 16, 2016 - **Crickets**
June 17, 2016 - **Silence**

This is absolutely amazing. So I go on to BTCPOP.co and login so I can try and talk to someone. I post a message on their chat system:
"my withdrawal request has been stuck in 'pending' for 5 days now, any suggestions?"

I received an immediate reply directing to a post of a user who is doing "voucher" trades for people who are trying to cashout. To put that more plainly, it is so difficult to cash out of BTCPOP that a secondary market has materialized for people who simply want to get back THEIR OWN COINS, of course at a steep premium. What a scam.

I'm afraid I have had an extremely negative experience with BTCPOP and as of now, four days after my attempt, they have yet to return my 2.5646 BTC.
I was first attracted to BTCPOP because of the savings account. I plan on holding my BTC over the long term and who wouldn't want to earn a little interest while waiting? I checked out the reviews and I justified that even the negative ones eventually seemed to get resolved. So I took the plunge and deposited with BTCPOP, they were even offering up to 10% bonus.

The deposit went smoothly, taking only about as much time as getting 3 confirmations on the network. After I saw that my coins were safe in their new home I started poking around the website, there is a lot going on. I began to notice that the majority of the P2P lending opportunities were very risky and that the features of the website that would have helped managed risk (like reporting late loans) were not functioning.

After reading some internal message board posts it became clear to me that my worst fear was happening, that people were having extreme difficulty retrieving their coins. At that point I panicked and withdrew my coins. When I place the withdraw order the system asked me for my 2FA credentials which I input. When I pressed "send" the balance was removed from my wallet and placed in "pending" where it sits today... four days later.

Even the most basic operations have to be able to do two things at a minimum, deposit and withdraw. If that doesn't happen efficiently people are going to rightly worry. That is were BTCPOP is right now, it does some really innovative things... some really groundbreaking ideas are being pushed there. But if people can't get their coins as easily as when they deposit them, something smells rotten.

Ps. I will be updating as to their communication and for those who think I'm scamming because I have so few posts, I'm not, message boarding is not really my thing. Here is my identity: https://onename.com/aaron1
