IF BTER IS INTERESTED IN SELLING THEIR EXCHANGE I AM AN EAGER BUYER!!!!

Contact me: [email protected]

I think it is better (for you) to contact them through their email address, it will be simple for you to buy that exchange. However how much do you want to "invest" in it or are you only kidding us?

Let him show us the money. He is kidding indeed, why would he post his proposal here?

So you'll buy a hacked exchange with money stolen from others. I do like a closed loop.

Birds of a feather flock together.

site is run by Mark Karpeles!!! BEWARE!

No, the site owner is a certain Lin (Chinese name). The hacker of 50 million nxt disclosed the story of the hack back then:

Quote
Lin used same password for 90% of his services including his linode account.

I'll be willing to give everything back if there is reward in btc from the profits Lin is making..

Complete lack of security.. same password for everything.

Very telling, by the way.

Using same passwords for anything and 90% is a serious security threat to any business let alone an exchange. I have a password for every website am on and that takes some doing to memorize them all but noted down and stored if I ever forget and have software that auto logs me in most them and encrypted so cant gain access to them and most me sites am on including email are all on 2 step auth too so that if anything gets or tried access to I get alerted. No way would I use same password for tuns of sites and risk losing everything not worth te risk.

There is this message on each page's coin at Bter :

"Notice: We are bringing BTER up. Get latest updates at https://twitter.com/btercom ."

Does everybody must withdraw their coins or can leave them at Bter as it looks like it's going to be on as it was before.

Previously they made it known that they were going to shut down the exchange completely. But now I have a feeling that they are actually going to continue operations. Personally, I will withdraw my coins as soon as an opportunity arises (then will wait and see). In respect to trading, bter was one of the best exchanges out there.

A lot of person will do the same, because they have "lost" their credibility and consequently the different clients have lost confidence. Well done, I fortunately don't have anything on bter.

There are some coins that are on no other exchanges besides bter. People who want to trade those coins have no other choice than to use bter. They are not particularly popular coins but the revenue from those alone would give bter a reason to carry on trading.

If they open for business again they will probably have to cancel the buy side of the order books for all the alts. The buys must have been backed by people's bitcoins before the hack and can't be backed by bitcoins now unless bter managed to get funding from somewhere.

I'm absolutely sure that they will cancel all orders once the exchange starts executing trades, but not for the lack of bitcoins. The significant share of bitcoins you are talking about should be in the hot wallets.

It appears that you have Doge on BTER, whereas I have NXT  Cheesy (actually I had 0.66 btc and have 25000 nxt still on BTER)

They have 4.5 billion doges in their cold wallet, which makes around 2,700 bitcoins. Their nxt cold wallet holds about 35 million coins, which makes around 1,574 bitcoins. So your assumption is pretty much wrong.

Maybe in number of clients/traders then ? :-)

Or by their sheer brutality... Why beat around the bush? All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
