An experienced trader, will not bother about the weather it is bull or bear, based on their investment and experience they will choose the right coins to make profits. Even though the market is dominated by a bear trend, it will help them to make a decent profit. That's how an experienced trader will make a profit whether it is a bull or bear.

They do bother.

It is not that they are the Aizen of trading, they are not earning every trend that is happening. They are also losing but they are experienced so they either earn a small profit or maybe reduced the loss that they have. Obviously, they can't just always earn a profit in every investment that they have, they will always lose but they have ways to reduce those since they are experienced.

There is a bull and bear market. In which market is it hypothetically possible to make more money? In which of these two markets do people usually make a profit? And how to determine the beginning and end of one of the markets?
If you have already known what is happening on those two face of the market you could now probably know what are the best action you must do within that time. For example, as we entered the bear period, most of the coins were in ground not showing of any pump and that is the good time to accumulate coins while on Bull period, market is showing a drastic growth then that means dumping your accumulated coin is the best way you can do.
At least both periods are still possible for you to make a profit and the difference might be about how much capital is spent, because even though the bear market is dominating but in this crypto market, it is still very possible for you to get a few other cryptos that have a better chance of making a profit by utilizing every move that occurs from every coin.

If you are the type of person who don't have any skills in day trade or not having an enough experience then it would be much better if you will do what was the common traders do in which sell at bull market and buy at bear market. Bear market gives you an opportunity to gather and accumulate all the coins that you think would be profitable while Bear market will give you a chance to sell out those coins you have and enjoy your profit.

You can earn better if you'll deal with both situations. The bear market would offer you an affordable chance to buy good coins while the prices are still low. You could gain your profit when the bull market comes but that will take time. Things will only depend on how you take the opportunity in every situation and how skillful you are when it comes to trading. Bear in mind that trading isn't always as profitable as you think because the market is volatile so we shouldn't miss every opportunity to buy or to sell at a good price.

You don't make money all the time, there are periods when you accumulate and there are periods when you dump. Bull period is a time when you wait to dump, bear period is a time when you're accumulating as much as you can (with the money you made after you dump at some high price). Let's be clear, we are talking about Bitcoin here, because Bitcoin always bounce back, unlike some other coins.
I wrote that more than once, you can't know when is the beginning and end of some period, it's why you never buy with all of your money, you never sell everything you have. What you do is trying to feel the period with your buy or sell orders, you don't place one order you place several, each higher or lower than previous one.

to make a profit from it, we can't just look at one situation. that is, we need to utilize bull and bear markets. in general, people buy on the bear market and sell on the bull market. but it is very difficult to determine that. however, you will not get a big profit when only using one situation, and that is also very risky.
Yes, If you’re a day trader you can be making money no matter the markets condition. You just have to know what you’re doing and follow the right steps and you will be able to make profit despite the market condition. But normally, you would know that the bull market is always more profitable for everyone, whether you’re the type that is into short term trading or long term, it just works for everyone.

It is always big profit when you invest for a long term. I can’t forget how much I was able to earn during the last bull run in 2017, it’s more than what I have been able make from trading daily.

I will start by answering your last question. There is no way to know when the bull or bear market will start or stops. There have been many discussions regarding this. A lot of people believe this is always caused by the whales that hodl a large portion of crypto that is capable of influencing the market and this is the reason why people keep an eye and always report when they noticed that a large sum of money in bitcoin has been moved from a wallet to probably an exchange address. Bull market is where people seem to make more money compared to the bear market.

That is what happens when you try to find a way to trade what is not to be traded.

Normally, bitcoin is not something we should be focusing on profiting when it is going down, that is stuff that financial world is doing with stocks and so forth and we should have been better but we didn't and now some people are paying the prices of that.

I really wish there was no shorting ever in bitcoin world but since there is no regulation there is also no way of stopping those people as well.

Anyone with enough power could simply sell all of their bitcoin and drop the price of bitcoin meanwhile still shorting bitcoin and can make money that way. It is hard to buy millions of dollars worth of bitcoin all at once but there are tons of early birds who have thousands of bitcoins to sell to make it happen.

If it is literally earning something then it is obviously bull run, because of course due to its price. But when you're gonna ask the overall picture if you can earn even in bearish market then yes, absolutely. It is the cue to take opportunities to buy more coins that you love to hodl. These two trends kinda have the most effect to long-term hodlers/traders as they wait for such trend reversal always as they take the opportunity to buy at dips then sell at peak.
Personally me, I am kinda slow to react at bearish market because of the mindset of a possibility for "more" opportunities.
I think it's not the coins that you love to hold but instead a coins that you know it will give you a profit in the long run. A long-term investment coins just like Bitcoin with its halving coming on this May people are expecting a lot from it. But the real bull market that they are waiting will not gonna happen yet after the halving, ut may take some time.
I agree with your opinion, many people are waiting and expecting something that will happen in the month of may on bitcoin, the halving day bitcoin that we know, but don't get caught up in halving day bitcoin it could be just hoax news

yeah bro its better if we take it easy and dont expect too hard on that dates.  you might be right , what if the most awaited hype on the halving days were only a hoax in order for the btc get manipulated upwards ? because people right now are still panic buying  .

we must consider that we are not only entering here for the halving but we are here some reasons  . bulls and bears are also there staple as a trait of cryptos  . better if we will only based on them or based on what you currently see and decide if whether you will buy or not .

People will usually buy during the dip (and that was of bear season) and sell it when they saw a huge market pumps (bearish season), this means that people will become more profitable during Bullrun. But sometimes it won't just play like that, in fact, some investors will secure their fund and sell their coin when they saw just a few market gains (the same thing that I'd practice). Even though during the bear season, we can still make money for it but the risk is really high that of the bearish season.
Both markets are actually good to have profits but the risk factor is what matters here.
As you mentioned, even I agree that bullish trend brings minimum risk whereas bearish trend would bring huge risk in trading.

There are a lot of traders who are actively making profits from the daily trends and even in bearish trends they short their coins before the market dump and buy back the coins at a dip. That is actually a different concept of leverage trading but these features have made it possible to make money from both sides of the markets. You just have to gain as much knowledge as possible and start ASAP so that you don't miss the most volatile market movements.

In which of these two markets do people usually make a profit?

trade when the market is down is very irritating

And how to determine the beginning and end of one of the markets?

for you to have an idea look at this:

Bitcoin Reaches Crucial Juncture: Breakdown Below This Level Could Spark Vertical Drop

current price: $9174

isnt it like this
trade when its dumping, sell when its pumping.

In short term,Trading in a bear market is usually not worth of the effort
And by forcing to continue to trade when prices continue to fall actually reduces our chances of being able to buy at a low price because we will continue to have new price comparisons

And how to determine the beginning and end of one of the markets?

One of them is with Price Chart and a combination of two Moving Averages. MA 50 days and 200 days
But I am not saying that this method is 100% accurate Smiley

Margin trading allows you to make money even when you are seeing a coin getting shorted down, but the margin level is fixed and it is lower compared to leverage trading but still, a chance is there to make money through margin trading is by shorting a coin when you know that it is overbought and the situation demands a correction.
Margin trading is really risky and not everyone is calm enough to choose this way of making money during this time. In my opinion, if you are really good at trading, margin trading will be a very good choice for you but before you trade margin, you must always be confident and not panic when the market declines. In the past, I used to trade this way but due to my greed, I lost a lot of assets when participating.

Yeah, one of my friends lost his money in Margin trading even though he has very good experience of trading. Margin trading is for experience people, but they need to be very confident about the market situation and they need to choose the coins wisely and it will help them to reach their target otherwise, we might lose large sums of money.

I'm not sure if we could short coins in margin trading as margin trading only allows us to trade with any coin with 3 times more capital than we actually invested. Like for example you can start trading with 3 BTC by just depositing 1 BTC into the margin balance.

Leverage trading is what offers us to short or long coins in overbought or oversold conditions. Leverage trading brings a lot of risk as the time we hit out liquidation price would be the time when we would see our balance going down to "0" and this is the highest risk associated with leverage trading. But, leverage trading would allow you to make profits in both the market conditions. Even the bear markets as well the bull markets.
