Probably It will. But not instantly. Block halving is one of the things that might trigger a bull run but more important than the block halving is the market cycle. Crypto markets move with cycles and every new bear cycle will last longer than the older one. This will go like this till there is no money left to be made.

The bitcoin block reward halving is next year in may.
Do you think this would lead us to a new bull run these year?
What are you're thoughts
We will see a recovery in the market this year around and hopefully the market will drive to an all time high by 2021. Usually in the past the market behaves like that during the time of halving and hopefully we will see the same this time around too. There will be other factors too driving the market but we will see the changes this year and then we will have an idea on how the market moves.

I have a feeling if they price of BTC do not go lower than $3k come May, the opportunity to buy BTC cheap again has been lost for the next 4 years, because this is going to kick start a new bull run, which will likely be stronger than any we have seen in previous years.

Yes, I hope this brings a very positive change about rising market prices. Bull Run will certainly be expected this year because throughout 2018 the market is in a declining condition. And we hope that this year the crypto market will slowly grow so that this will give investors confidence.

There are no signs for the bull run at this time, 2019 is just starting and still long. Crypto's journey is indeed full of mystery and can only monitor, hoping that the next few months will start to improve and get a bull next year.

Hi guys,
The bitcoin block reward halving is next year in may.
Do you think this would lead us to a new bull run these year?

i think the reward wont have enough effect to the market when the price has already low, a few reward can not easily change it, however i believe there will be more bull runs in this year but i guess it wont last for long because there are not much whales investing in Bitcoin anymore.
If we judge how it happened in the past, then 1 year before the cut of the reward for bitcoin mining, its price began to rise. Therefore, in may 2019, we may see the beginning of the rise in the price of bitcoin, but the main growth of its price will be in 2010-21 years.

Timing the next bull run is the big question that nobody really knows the answer.  When the bull run starts, price action will make it clear.

Currently I believe that we will see a bull run around the halving time, however, it is a bit of a question: How long will it last? And where will be the bottom before the run starts?
It could very well be that BTC drops to $1000 in the next 12 months and then the bull run brings us barely to the current prices around $3-4k...

I think we will see another bull run, but it's hard to predict when it will come. I also suspect that it will happen next year at the latest, but whether it will really happen that way is not easy to say in advance. But I'd still use this time to buy some cheap coins and I don't think you do much wrong with that.  Wink

Now there is a forecast that the market will fall even lower, and this will take 3-4 months in time, in the future we hope for growth, only now it is obvious to everyone that he will be accompanied by frequent corrections.
but if my prediction for this year will not experience a decline in the market because from now on there are already signs of market bulls going to run this year or next year

Hard to know yet but it is possible since we are waiting for the bull run. But don’t make expectation yet because we might see another dump that can actually change the situation to the worst scenario. Bull market can happen this year up to next year, we have more time to get more coins.

This is too early to predict such events that haven't any effect in our current situation of the market.
We all know that halving will change the course of the market eventually and there's no need to be in a hurry.
What we should focus on our interest is how deep would Bitcoin go in this bearish market along the year ends.

I have a strong feeling that it will. My basis is on what happened  last 2016 and the best effect took lately by 2017 which we all know that it's the greatest bull run that we ever had.

The bear's market is still on us and we don't know on how long it will stay. I'm not expecting that this year will end its bear market but it's likely more to happen by 2020-2021.

nice analysis because usually history repeat itself,, and 2020-2021 is the most reasonable years for the bull,,
but in this year i believe bitcoin will touch about 10K USD my friend
2017 was the best bull in crypto world until now,, but 100% i believe the next bull will break the past  Wink

the possibility of a bull run this year, most probably in the first quarter is a high one. we won't see the ATH for a long time though but it will be a nice rise. and since the price is extremely low right now, any rise to previous values will be a very big one. for example to reach the previous bottom at $6k we will have a 100% rise and that is great.

then the next year's halving will be the icing on the cake and will help the price shoot to the ATH and beyond that will happen next. so in 2 years from now we will probably be seeing $100k at least.

I am expecting nothing good for 2019. It will likely to be come at 2020. Bitcoin price will remain stable at $3k lower and $4k/$5k at maximum and alt will also follow the same. It's more likely to be a long bearish market which might end at the end of this year or later this year.
The falling market is coming to an end and we are going to go to the sideway for a long time, at least 1 year to create discouragement for investors. I also think that the market will only go up in 2020 or longer. 2019 will certainly be like 2018 or worse

maybe the increase will happen, but we don't expect too much because we know that market conditions move beyond what we have expected. Keep always having a mature plan to still be able to stabilize your funds before the increase actually comes.

The bull run starts 1 year before the halving so we still have 2 more months of sideways / downwards trading before the massive pump begins. You should start accumulating now before you miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime

We can only see graphic movements and study history every year as a lesson to be able to see in the future, with hopes that there will be bulls this year and next year so that this will get us out of the red market. There is hope that there will be good news this year so that it supports the green market.
