It's not doing a very good job bumping this thread. Days have passed between posts. This is one naughty bumpbot.

I also noticed that. I contacted the owner but he told me that bumpbot didn't skip days. He still replied (and is currently replying) to my questions, I'm concerned about the posts ignored in the thread though.
There is so much signature spam, no point repeating the same thing again and again when it has been already discussed in the first few posts of the topic.

My question is this,

1. What if bumpbot post at 8 am and some one replied at 9 am, when will the bumpbot post again tom.

             i. 8 am or 9 am
ii. what happens to the 8 am bot post done previous day

2. Are you using cron jobs or some other method ?

Bots are not humans ,so if you are selling products and offering services and one customer is very much interested on what you offer and ask something about a particular point about your product or services I doubt if a bot can answer those questions correctly and it could ruin your thread by using this bot..

When I had long standing marketplace threads that needed to be bumped on a fairly regular basis, I would try to stagger the times I would bump my threads in order to maximize the exposure of my threads. For example if someone regularly accesses the forum at 4:00 PM but I always bump my thread at noon then that person will never see my thread, so I will bump my threads closer to every 28-36 hours or so.

I think bumping and same wordds if what the bots post still against the rules its just like a copy pasting post..
But i think better to add some script to put a spinner that automake phareses and sentence so that you account will not ban..

A bump bot sounds cool and may it that it turns out be secure it may be a fast solution for some users to buy it., but i will write my own in php/python or similar, the imacros browser plugin will do the trick 2.

If he cant bump his own thread with this bot after 24 hrs.then how do you expect it to work for others?

You're dumber than I thought. The bot must be run and be kept on to keep bumping the thread, most obviously. It's not like you run it once and you can turn off your computer. Unless you're okay with modding it to be used on a free PaaS platform like Heroku. I use that to host my site ^_^

been there, done that. By experience, offering something for tips on bitcointalk does not work  Smiley

Must agree with that...  Angry

Op, it seems people are having 2nd thoughts on what youre promoting...

So take another approach instead. Just make it for free, and add your tip address. I feel you`ll do better that way.. just basic marketing imo.

this is funny...a such bot is of course cheating...
and you ask that the script can not be resold?
Buyers have to be honnest and dishonnest...(lol)

Interesting thing you got for sale.
Wish you best of luck with your product.

Hopefully it is not against the terms of bitcointalk.

Guys, it's already been said that this bot complies with the bitcointalk rules, it has been approved by an official bitcointalk moderater.

However, some of the questions asked have not been answered, such as the issue of if the bumps will be provided by bumpbot or if we have to give our login details for the bot to work.

Dear me, I think I'm becoming a god
Does the script have to be left on? Maybe consider making a site where you pay for your bot to bump a thread? You host the bot, but it will be much more enticing for users.
May pose a problem, he will definitely need passwords to do the bumps remotely and most wouldnt be comfortable with OP having access to their accounts, especially their messages

>Bump text can be customized.

Can this bot be set up to change the bump text every day for a certain amount of time, or will users have to do this manually?
At present the bump text has to be changed manually, however if you explain in more detail what you need, i think it can be done.
