Is there way that moderators could be hired for this exact purpose? I mean I am not a big chat dude neither so I do not know many scammers and the slight moments I check there is usually just regular chat (interestingly, not always about gambling, there are people talking regular life as well) but having bunch of moderators that is either hired or even voluntary could make a huge change.

I know it would be very hard to pick who will be mods, but if you could get like a dozen of them added today, you will see a sudden change, like not just a small change that is insignificant, you will see change that is sudden and instant and everything will be much better there. However when you do that, while preventing scams, you are also making it a less free situation for chatters as well with fear of mods.

Scams are not moderated on the site actually since its not job of the mods to bust them(if I'm not wrong), just take extra precaution so you can avoid those possible scam happened on the chatbox and never try to rely on someone regarding on profitability or your earnings since there's no something like this in reality, although there are few but not totally can give us a huge gain.

They can hire mods but in my opinion its not ideal thing to do since it cost to much for such intention but let see if they will do the suggestion since its useful idea.

There are enough warnings around, I mean I dont think Daniel will hire/pay mods that will watch for scams...
He does a pretty good job watching chat, but he always says to watch what youre doing...

I mean scams can happen anywhere.

Any info on the polish scammer ?

I havent been active in the chat. Could you please elloborate, which scam?

That's just a newbie made the account for trolling. If he have been scammed, he could have made a much detailed post with proper evidences.
No information on how much he lost and how ?

This is not new thing since there are so many people creating new account and posting some negative content just to destroy the reputation of some sites here, but I never believe those one especially if they cannot provide a solid proof on their accusation and also I don't trust those claims came from new accounts created so best for him to provide the important details and people will decide if he's legit or another troll wandering here.

Well, when you have the moderator rights of your own topic, you could actually control it, if a troll comes up and talks bad about your website, you have the right to just silence them, you can basically just focus on the part where they are actually talking decent stuff and even complaints that are making sense actually, however when someone who is a bad person comes up and they talk silly stuff that doesn't make sense and you prove them wrong and they still keep coming back, like seriously get a life moment, at that moment you can delete all they say and keep deleting and at one point they will have to leave.

That is what trolls need, a moderator that could delete whenever they start making no sense at all, that way we would be relaxed and not care about the trolls since they would be banned.

Moderated topics about projects are not in demand among ordinary people, because they can delete messages from both trolls and messages with justified criticism.
Personally, I would not write in such topics on principle.

Sorry, but do people still really fall for stupid scams like this?
I could smell that scam from miles away and people really thought they would get their coins doubled?  Roll Eyes
Unfortunately, yes. A very good example was the Twitter hack, where accounts of famous people were hacked. Those famous accounts offered free Bitcoins like this screenshot shows:

Source

The hackers had several BTCs of deposits in a very short time, in total I think it was about 10 Bitcoin that could be "earned" this way. As soon as you supposedly get something for free, greed kicks in and you don't think about being a victim of an attack.
Talking about this type of scams, I do not really trust any behaviour like the one stated above. Also, i checked the address shared by the scammer who got access to Elon's Twitter account and i found that only 0.00452914 was deposited to the address equivalent of 46.32 USD at this moment not 10 BTC as you mentioned.
This behaviour should be scammy, i can say that the newbies and the greedy souls only will fall for such tricks. Mark my words, there's nothing called "I double your funds in 24 hours" if there's a real working method then don't expect peoples to share it! There's kindness in this earth but if peoples really start giving 100% profit daily then the goverment is printing bank notes and harming their economy and causing hyperinflation. Otherwise, if there's any other scenarios then you're just having a day-dream or you're going to be scammed. Just my 2 cents.

Of course, it is worth responding to the claims of such a person. In addition, from the very beginning, it is unclear whether he is a Troll or not. However, if you see that a person is a fraud and writes messages in order to Troll others, then I would recommend sending such posters to ignore and do not respond to their messages.
I feel like "don't feed the troll" is a real thing, it is not really a hidden fact or anything, it is actually a proved to be working method. If you ignore trolls and if you just let it be, they have to leave, now if there is cyber bullying and there are hundreds of people mocking you for something that could be hard to ignore, however if it just one person trying to get attention, as long as you ignore them they will leave.

Remember gambler-protect or whatever his name was? Dude was around the gambler world all the time trying to sabotage or blackmail his way to wealth and bothered casinos as a living, that was literally his way of making money, dude is banned and gone and nobody even remembers him that much, over time nobody will remember him. So, just ignore them and they will be gone out of your lives eventually.

This is the correct approach to trolls, I also wrote about it.

In the topic next door, there was a discussion about why some casinos do not want to open topics with announcements on our forum. Perhaps the presence of trolls is the reason for this.

The trick is he won’t tell you to invest into the account first he will wait till he has changed the recovery email. Then proceed to ask.

if your active on bustabit last couple weeks you will know what I’m talking about. But for those that don’t know I know personally 3 players who have lost 1 coin+ from this scam the highest being 2coins, I personally lost 0.4 coins through this scam. The player will tag you on the bustabit chat telling you to add them and to check your pms, then offer you an investment into you BR and compliment your strat etc. He would offer the investment on a 2 : 1 basis meaning he promised an investment of 0.8 coins if I invested 0.4 coins. He would then ask you to come on a external messenger app such as telegram discord or Skype to come and screen share your screen. And while creating a new  account victims screens are available to the scammer. He will then ask us to deposit first, obviously the first thing to do is to change password incase of a scam but this scammer would have already changed the recovery email meaning changing the password would not stop the scam. So once the bits have been deposited he will lock you out and bet with your bits then withdraw the money. Someone has claimed that he boasted to them that he has made 90 btc in total from this scam.
For me it's already suspicious that he would like to chat you on a gambling site for an investment also with the screen sharing which is a big no for me. It's good that you share it here so everyone could read this type of scam and they will be aware of this I hope everyone should always doubt about everything especially on investment just to be safe.

1 coins means 1 bitcoin ? Also if a player chats with you and offer you some investments then why do you deal with him if they are not the mods or admin of the site ?  Look like you become victim of some scammer as I understand this.
You sharing your screen through third party person but accusing bustabit for this scam. Why ?

Sorry if I post at the wrong place

I read a post from 2017 or 2018 I think that said the version V2 of bustabit will not crash anymore at 1.00, today in 2020 it does crash frequently at 1.00, so this part of V2 was changed?

I also read that should bustabit crash at 0x, all bets will be refunded which also does not seems to be the case today.

So why are things different than they were described in this forum in the past? Are we in a V3 or above?

Thanks for any clarification

The only thing I'm noticing with the recent update is that there are lots of reds under 1.30 and lots of crashes around 1.96. I feel like the community noticed it too and BAB doesn't seem much active as the times before the update. I know all the "the bets are predefined" and stuff so no need to quote me on that, it's just an observation.
