Monero is a very good project. But it seems more logical to keep me Zcash. The price is well below Mono and Dash. There is not even a Windows wallet.
holding monero is not bad, as time goes by i can see monero going stronger, it is a good privacy coin in the market better than any privacy coin that there is right now.
Excellent technology backed up with confidentiality features makes many people invest monero. However, common blockch technology is still in the early stages of market penetration. No one knows for sure whether this technology will be successful.
XMR struck me as too difficult to get to it was the great coin. his appearance may be quite nice but the development less attractive. but nothing is impossible, could have been in a few more years of XMR could be coins that started to be taken into account.
I use to be positive on Monero and as the best privacy coin in the space but the recent action of the team just got me thinking, changing the code to prevent Asci mining is a wrong decision IMO, this is a personal and a centralise move, so if they keep developing miners they will keep changing it just to protect their own selfish interest
ASICs are one of the main causes of centralization. Also, what selfish interest? Do you think Fluffy and Co are in cahoots with video-card makers? Or CPU makers? If so, do you have more than a statement you pulled out of your ass? Or some suggestion as to avoid centralization that doesn't involve kowtowing to ASIC makers--the same people who have destroyed Bitcoin's decentralization (though Bitcoin developers have yet to address it outside of continuing to brand it as decentralized).

Monero, along with the rest of the top ten cryptos are great buys at this dip, the dip can get more deep if the volume keeps getting lower but the market will definitely grow over long term so no need to panic.

Monero coin is a really good coin and it is one of the best privacy coins which I am personally tracking from past two years. Monero is the best tradeable privacy coin whose chart analysis shows that it is gaining a lot of demand and popularity from the people and for long-term investment, Monero is the best option. Even in mining, this coin money can be easy mined even using the CPU and i have personally started using the CPU mining from many websites.

Yes, you can get profit from Monero, but not very much. Instead, you should evaluate the new ICOs. So if you have money and want to make a profit, you should research ICOs, because Monroe can double or triple the number you can earn, but you can earn 10x or 15x with more potensial tokens. Monero is good for privacy into Blockchain and they will have a great future. I bought my Monero last year and I am still holding because monero will be at $1000 one day!
Monero is a safe bet regarding privacy coins. You won't see huge gains anymore on monero, Its worth a shot to take a look at the lower marketcap privacy coins in my opinion.
How do you know that?
I'd assume that the trillions, yes trillions, in black market and untaxed wealth (along with anyone who doesn't like being watched or having their escort bill blasted over the internet) will only use the best privacy available, not some po' dunk shitcoin with a richlist.
