Buying in the ICO period, you are in danger. It seems to me that it is better to buy when the coin enters the stock exchange, and you will see the real situation.
buying ICO after listing on exchanges is also risky although its price may fall more than ICO, I have participated in some bounties and found its price continuously decreased without any sign of increase, anyway, you should still be careful when buying ICO

I see and observe recently that many ICOs are below the ICO price when they touch the exchange. Do you think it's a smart step to wait for an exchange and buy the tokens you want?

For me i rather buy tokens which is listed already in the exchanges. Because when you buy in ICO its so risky you don't know how long that project will last or survive.

But in the other side buying tokens in ICO will give you huge profits if they are only legit.

It is much more cheaper to buy during the period of ICO than when listed on exchanges. There are  a whole lot of benefits when you buy during ico. You get bonuses upon your purchases and also with some projects investors get to try some features before the general public. In general, for potential projects always buy during ICO.

Not all, have you seen the ICO of fet? it is 5x on the first day of trading when it got release. Im sure that's not all ICO will end up in a below price but it will happened as well. Just pick a good and huge project like fet and btt.

As we all know ICOs market is not good at the moment and in my opinion its better to buy coin when it get listed because we do not know whether the project successfully completed or not or get listed on exchange or not So I believe to a buy a coin after listing by doing so atleast we will not have any fear in mind as a investor.

In the bull market, it does not matter, you can get your profit at any stage, but in the bear market it is best to buy after the ICO stage, when it becomes clear what the coin is capable of

This is tricky sometimes it is better to wait out the  ICO phase and buy in exchange the coins that will likely drop after the Ico while at the other times his better to buy in the ico stage so that you can benefit from the increase in price, after the ico. Although there is no way to fully judge how the coin will behave but you can at least try to choose a particular strategy to follow

Currently investing in ICOs is very risky compared to before now because there's usually low buy order once they hit exchanges, and as a result the price continue to fall. It's better to buy after it has been listed if you like the project.

If the project is that good, you should buy on ICO to support it and when it hits the exchange then buy more. The price will surely dumped hard after it puts on exchange. Hold it until the price is right.

Does anyone have stats or a link to info on hown many ICOs were successful in 2018/2019 so far? BTT and Fecth are the only ones I can think of

It depends on which project you are going to invest in. For example, projects that collect funds on Launchpad Binance, begin to bargain on the exchange at a price higher than ICO. But in general, I prefer to buy altcoins after adding on exchanges.

by now is almost a rule after the end of the ico the value of the tokens falls far below the selling value of the ico offer, so it is better to buy them after the end of the ico once they have appeared on some dex
Of course, this option is really very good, because today all the coins after listing are much cheaper on trading platforms. Moreover, such etherdelta platforms are very popular for buying cheap coins.

Well, most of the times, it is better to buy after exchanges. But if they are not greedy and not giving out thousands of tokens free for marketing (partners and etc) you can buy from ico too.

At the moment it is more profitable to buy of course for after the release of the coin on the exchange. After all, the price immediately drops several times (on average 10 times). But as soon as the market comes to life, it will be better to buy on ICO

You have a best option to buy during ICO, because at that time you will get tokens at low price with bonuses.
After ICO when token hit on exchange you have to wait to dump but occasionally tokens go up after hitting exchange.

I think buying at ICO is more profitable but in this case it should be bought at early, usually buying at early we can get quite a lot of bonuses, some ICOs give up to 30% bonus, but do research first before investing in ICO, take your risk
Buying at ico will be more profitable and that will become the best investment if we can bought the promising ico token. look at BTT and Fetch and both of these icos have been giving more than 5x return to the early investors instantly dude.

I never try to buy token during ico neither after their ico. Because for me in my point of view, its too risky honestly speaking.
I would rather participate to their bounty campaign than investing to their project. Unless they have a potential to to increase in the long run.

I prefer to buy tokens/coins after listing the exchange and see the development of the project, if it is a bad project we just need to leave without waiting. ICO isn't the right choice for me, scammer and also so many fraud everywhere.
