There is no need not to use PayPal if you are dealing with online store or reputable merchant with long history of completed successfully deals.
As far as I know PayPal did not collect any fee from you if you buy stuff online. Instead seller is taxed with the fee.
But you have to be cautious of using PayPal to deal with random people, in that case using PP could be problematic and I wouldn't recommend using PP for it.

Let's be honest, there is a small repulsion from the btc community towards btc because of the refunds,... But, let's be honest a second time, Paypal is just an easy way to pay with online. But I'm having trouble finding some decent markets/sites/services that still accepts paypal.

So yea, my question: where do you guys still use paypal nowadays?

repulsion is a bit too harsh to say about bitcoin's lack of refund. the lack of refund is actually a good feature in bitcoin. and for purchases it is the best option for the merchants because they will feel secure and the customer also will feel safe as long as the merchant is reputable.

for example i don't think twice when paying with bitcoin for hosting!

and as for paypal i will never use them again unless i don't have any other option (no other payment method or no other similar service)

my honest answer is every where..  lolz..
because paypal is accepted in all web, all websites, all marketplaces and shopping sites, and also all earning sources, freelancing sites and other services paying with paypals. some of them recently started using bitcoin but majority of them still working with paypal.
yest it is true that paypal is being used in most of web markets and other sources.
but I personally don't like using paypal. I love to pay with bitcoin every time. I hardly find bitcoin friendly sites to buy and sell things and earn bitcoins.

Wait, are there any big merchants or company who still accept paypal?
Big companies such as Google, Amazon or Steam don't accept paypal anymore.

Most merchants or company prefer credit cards, paper money or bank transfer than paypal anyway Roll Eyes
Also, many people don't like paypal since there are many better choice.

My answer is, "nowhere". Ever since they blocked my account and lock all the funds I had in it, due to me relocating to a country that it's against their rules (the day I logged in from another country - Iran to be exact, the next day my account was useless already with all the funds inside it), I never looked back again. I went back in forth with them through email and they never refunded it to me even though I provided all the proofs that I literally am a dual citizen. Paypal used to be good when it came out back in the day, but I can't really see it in the future in most markets, but on the other hand BTCitcoin will surely be much more widely used.

I don't use paypal.Because there's no reason to.
I never had and never will be a customer of them! The way they handle and deal with your personal information should be reason enough for everyone to avoid this payment service.

I only use it to pay hostgator for hosting (I'm in Europe, and if i use a debit card, I get charged a handling fee because hostgator is a "foreign" site. Paypal solves this problem because no handling fee (and obviously if they accepted bitcoin, that would solve it too).

I don't know what type of sites/services you're referring to but I don't think PayPal adoption by merchants is slowing down at all. Bitcoin is great as an alternative/experimental payment method but I don't think any mainstream site will even consider accepting only Bitcoins. There are certainly plenty of other payment processors besides PayPal but none of those have market share anywhere close to that of PayPal.

I do still use Paypal for payment once a while when I shop on eBay... but there are many more online stores other than Paypal...

Paypal is for lazy people (like me, sometimes) without need to think too much- as the service is being paid by the fees and unfavourable exchange rates...

Yeah it is way easier to pay online with Paypal. You really can't pay with Bitcoins at most of the online web shops. But with Paypal you can pay almost at most of the online web shops.
